CRAP Club PCARS 2 Time Trials - Thanks for taking part everyone, we will return one day!

Understeer off-throttle, oversteer on-throttle, and catching a slide trying to bring it back in line is really hard, even on the stable preset.

1:27.659 - Stable

I dunno if it's just me, but the handling is terrible. I expected more from this car. It feels like the LSD is tuned wrong. :odd: Maybe it's just the lack of downforce in the slow corners, makes it feel very slidey. I had trouble getting used to it. I'm tempted to do a lap with a tuned setup later.

Kinda ironic for a car with Loctite livery to be sliding all over the place, innit? :D

Edit: Had another go, somehow found 9 tenths. :odd: Kinda getting better with handling the car...now I'm starting to think I was a bit too harsh on it.

A time now on stable....Still more time to find though.

1:27.840......After my run I changed the steering sensitivity on the T150, and it felt better, more responsive at higher speeds than before when I was testing for the next TT combo, so I'm sure I can get a few more tenths off my time....By the way, how does this look for the next TT? :D

Gave it another go after tweaking my wheel settings, and much better this time around!

1:26.358! Better turn in with the adjustment to the speed sensitivity on the wheel. There is a little more time there still, the perfect lap would get you into the 25s....

An off board lap, love watching that thing pitch, and bounce on its suspension!

Cracking lap @HammyMansell - I'm still quite a way off, my best so far is a 1:28.839. Not sure how much more I'll find, if anything (this car hates me lol) but I do at least want to try for the pad record, which I only need a couple of tenths for....

Thanks mate! A little tip, slow in, fast out works more than well on the McLaren, nail the apex and on the gas nice a early! ;)

That's exactly what I've just been discovering - braking a little earlier, but getting on the gas a lot earlier as a result. That, and trying to trail brake is one of the things this car will kill you for :lol:

Little improvement for me as a result - now on a 1:28.334, and I have the pad record :)

To be done in “Time Trial” mode using stock setup on "loose", "Stable" or "OEM" (If available). (if you have a saved setup for this combo, please return it to “default” before trying, as times with the “setup used” symbol will show in the in game timing screen, and won’t be counted!) You can use driver aids if you wish! Post an in game screen shot of your time and post it here for it to count, Good luck!! ;)

This TT will run until next Tuesday night, the 21st of April, good luck!

What a car...handles like a dream! Didn't spin it even once. I started the first lap with the intention of getting an idea about how it handles...but then I just kept driving purely for fun. Loose is great but Stable seems good too. Brakes are a bit weaker on Stable but it's still possible to lock-up, though much harder than on Loose, so it's a bit more precise...

1:07.599 - Stable

It read .600 while I was on the track. Strange. :odd:

Yep, I love this car too - it's just enormous fun to drive. I thought I'd take it for a couple of laps last night after Hammy gave us the combo. About an hour later I eventually stopped.....

I wasn't even trying for a time (and didn't make a note of one), just enjoying grabbing it by the scruff of the neck and ragging the a*** off it :D. Almost certainly not the quickest way around the lap, but boy was it fun!

And yeah, I quite often see that I gain a thousandth from what the result shows at the track to what goes on the leaderboard - just a little oddity I guess.
 
Well done with the times so far fellas, and yes it's a great car to just cruise around in.

@NekoPufferPPP that happens on PS4 too, the game seems to reduce your lap time by .001 once it gets registered in the time screen, weird indeed!

I hope to give it a go tomorrow! :D

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post. But please i need some Guidance so i can get into the community again.
Also i havnt bought Pcars2 yet but i will. I just need to know there is a great community which it looks like :D

Been failing alot the last week that i have bought a small thrustmaster t150. while playing F12019

A week of miserably failing in F1 has wanted me to return badly to Project Cars and probably some Gran turismo sport, since i never got to try it when it released.

Hi mate, there's not really much racing in the CRAP community at the moment. I run TTs here on PCARs2, and also on Assetto Corsa on another thread of course.

Get the game as soon as you can, that way you can take part in out fun TTs, and there are many leagues run here on gtp with the game, lots of fun to be had!
