CRAP DiRT Rally Club [PS4] Racenet League Events live

Monte Carlo never has been my favourite rally. Very difficult to find a good rythm, especially on the ice/snow sections. First 3 stages went fine, trying to keep a steady pace, not pushing it to the limit. On stage 4 me and my co-driver saw this nice place to have a picnic, just 200m away from the finish ....

Luckely we didn't went over the wall, wich would have resulted in a DNF. Tried to gain back some on the 5th stage by taking some big risks, which resulted in a spin near the end of the stage.

The first thing that went through my mind when I landed on that wall, was Kresta crashing out of the Monte Carlo rally back in 2002: :D

Rallye de Monte Carlo

Official Statement from JDM_V0RT3X7373:

"This wasn't the result I was hoping for. We had a great chance of taking the win here, and I was starting to find a great rythmn on these tight stages. However, sometimes a small mistake or bump can cause the car to break and become harder to drive and most of all break concentration. That is exactly what happened this rally. A small lapse in cosentration was all it took, and pushing the car beyond it's limits at points to make up time only made it worse."

"We did however take away a few points which is never a bad thing, and some of the usual front runners finished low down as well or not at all, so there is still hope in the championship."

How official of you

So there we go, event one is over. We seem to have had quite a high attrition rate with 28 drivers starting the event and only 14 crossing the finish line.

Well done to everyone who took part and bad luck if you where one of the unfortunate ones that didn't make it to the finish.

Next up Rally Sweden.

I think this one is going to be as hard or even more difficult!

Looking forward to seeing your stage times everyone and good luck.

Keep it shiny side up!

nte Carlo is tough but Sweden will be even harder, the roads are quick enough to encourage you to push but any mistake is punished heavily

You're bang on. Sweden has some really fast sections but you even sniff a snow bank and you're done. I'm stoked.

Good race in Monte Carlo, and congrats to all who finished!! I was disappointed that I blew it so early, but I suppose that's the price you pay for pushing too hard.

ms like Monte Carlo is proving to be a real challenge. So far we have had 21 competitors start and only 11 cross the finishing line. I hope this doesn't put people off completing the rest of the season.

No chance!!! I'm kinda annoyed at myself for a DNF which makes it hard to be really competitive in the standings...but whateves. Too much fun racing against all of you to whine about a DNF, yeah?

Rules for Jump Competition:

Simply submit a clip of yourself going over the designated jump. Please use the third person chase camera, so it will be easier to judge the distances. Feel free to use slow motion as well.

How to upload: simply watch the replay, or at least watch it until you finish the jump. Press the share button. Upload video clip. Then you will be able to trim the video; all I need is the jump, so the videos don't need to be very long. If you haven't already, you will need to allow your PS4 to use your YouTube account, which is as simple as signing into your YouTube account. Title the video as (rally name here) jump contest. Once it has been uploaded, simply copy the URL and when on GTP press the film looking button and paste the URL there.

For rally Sweden, the designated jump is early on stage 5, Norraskoga. It is marked with a large blue arch, can't miss it. Good Luck Everyone!

(the same stage is run in the reverse direction on stage 1, submissions from that direction will not count.)

I'll have to figure out how to post the videos

When you do, maybe you could let me on it. I'm learning lately that I use about 15% of the capacity of my PS4 machine... On the one hand, it's shame I haven't used any of these features, but on the other it's like a new toy I've always had ;)

I'm 2 stages into this rally, had a solid run on stage one, couple of spins, but two of them gave me recovery penalties, had another 2 of those in stage 2, so I'm roughly around a minute off where I should be,

Just read through the jump rules, gonna have a crack at it :)
