CRAP DiRT Rally Club [PS4] Racenet League Events live

Hi - Just joined the league. I never had much luck with racing game leagues as I play weird hours, but with rally I can make my runs whenever.

I'm pretty slow and have pretty limited time on this game. Right after I bought it life just got in the way, but now I am back to playing 5+ hours a week.

I have been currently driving the class A scooby anyways so the current event is a good starting point.

Look for me at the bottom of timing and scoring

Welcome Spitfire, you are the second new member claiming he will be at the bottom of the time sheet so I think you have real competition! LOL. I'm sure you will be up to speed in no time if you are putting in 5 hrs a day on the game. I look forward to seeing your times on the score sheet.

I finished the first event this morning. I am down towards the bottom at +5mins . I spun many times early on.

Tip for myself - make sure to finish the first cup of coffee in the morning and do a warm up run or two before doing any league stuff.

Fun event though

@Spitfire77 I'm in the same boat. Only a few hours each week because of family. Maybe I see you on track in pcars son too 👍 ....

I uninstalled pCARS a little while ago to make room for Dirt Rally and another game. I have not reinstalled it yet. It is hard for me to go between two different racing games so for now I am sticking with Dirt.

Here is an in-car video from some pre-season testing I managed yesterday evening.

Vallee Descendante stage
Midday/Sunny

Lancia Delta HF Integrale
All assists off

Stage time 7:12.382

Not a very clean run but it was fun. The Integrale seems to be a good stable car, not as fast as the Scooby, but more predictable I think. This will be my weapon for the whole season.

One thing does concern me after reviewing this video, during the whole stage my navigator never turned a page over in his pace notes , I think he is doing it all from memory which could go horribly wrong :nervous::P

So Scooby is the fastest in the class? I chose it when I saw I had some upgrades on it, was not sure how the event worked when it comes to upgrades in cars you own. I just had a shakedown run, and going to see how it goes now .)
Yes I think the scooby is the fastest car in the class but a bit twitchy. I'm sure this could be dialed out of the car with a bit of tuning but I wouldn't know where to start.

I will probably go with the Delta for the next round. The cosworth was a safe choice, but it basicly only has one speed. The Delta is faster if you can control it, but in testing it seemed like I could push, hold steady pace and be caucious, whereas the cossie could only hold pace it seemed.

You might want to consider freeing up even more space. Last week my PS4 was practically broken. Was crashing a lot and Battlefield 4 was stuck on 99+ hours for download for a week. Netflix was so slow slow it wouldn't even load subtitles.

So I freed up 50 GB and ran the database cleaner tool. All working fine now!

You're right. The Delta is the best car in the class but very twitchy, yet easy to throw around once you practice a couple stages. I've always been a Subaru freak, but what I don't like about the Impreza '95 is the understeer. It's competent and stable but hard to dance with. And the brakes suck.

Thats what I did. I uninstalled other things too. Got up to 120gb free. I had lots of ps+ junk I never played. About to uninstall the Division cause I'm over that game (will get $15 trade in to best buy soon)

Also +++ for Subaru brand loyalty. I had a 98 impreza sport for years and just retired it and got a base model '14 impreza 5door . It's nothing fast or fancy but love my Scoobs

I used to have a 2000 Impreza 2.5 RS, which was a bastardization made to test the US market. It had the body of a 22B but with the 2.5L Legacy boxer (no turbo). I brought it to Argentina with me.

Here are pics from Rally Argentina 2001 and then pics of me in the same place in 2003:

And in 2002 I was at the spot of Mäkinen's huge crash, and got a pic of my Subaru next to the team van!

How do I get parts installed?
