CRAP DiRT Rally Club [PS4] Racenet League Events live

Think you are right, my first run, who was without big mistakes, I got a huge lead, and max amount of time I lost in the other stages, was around 10 sec with 2-3 small crashes
I had a little test on the Greek stage with all 3 after, the Alpine was 20 seconds quicker than the Mini and the Lancia was a couple of seconds slower than that (I think that stage is the most extreme example though with the slow hairpins, the Alpine could take those 10mph quicker and have better acceleration on the way out).

@GOTMAXPOWER Good fight on the hillclimb :) I feel better with 2. place on greece now, my driving did not deserve 1. place, crashed on most stages. But do you remember how it was between us in first lap? Dont think I did many mistakes there
I couldn't have gone any quicker in that Quattro, you must've absolutely nailed the whole stage. Greece was really competitive.

It's the RWD that deterred me. I have a terrible time keeping those cars on the road. That said, in the Mini, all the stages were clean, except for the last stage in Wales, and even there, after the right 6 into left 6 down into square right...I over shot the square and got hooked on the rim and lost about 3-4 seconds. Other than that, it was as fast as that car could go. Seems I had better learn how to pilot RWD vehicles.

Well it's not looking promising for a game patch to arrive from Codemasters before the current event ends. Not happy.

I have hardly had time to turn the PS4 in recently. Can you all use the DS4 instead? I've found it is still a lot of fun and a different challenge.

Hi all,

I’m really pleased to say our PS4 patch to fix the issues our Thrustmaster users have been experiencing has passed approvals, and will be released at 14:30 GMT today.

To make it clear, this patch will be PS4 only – and this is what it will be fixing:

- Force feedback settings will be adjustable for Thrustmaster wheels.

- Thrustmaster TH8A can now be used with H-Pattern settings.

If you have any problems with this patch, please let us know on this thread or in the designated Technical Assistance thread on our Codemasters forums:http://forums.codemasters.com/discu...al-hardware-found-a-bug-post-it-here/p1?new=1

And finally, thank you for your patience while we’ve worked on this – your immediate and in-depth feedback has been really helpful in identifying the issues at hand.

Well it seems that Racenet has been down now for 24hrs so I am assuming that no-one else has managed to finish the last event in the current Crap Dirt Club season.

So here are the preliminary results which may change as soon as I can check the results ( if they havent been completely lost by codemasters during the outage.

As long as those using a Thrustmaster got relief from the latest updates and we can all get back to competitive racing against each, then I'm all for it.
Am I to understand that the Thrustmaster people are good to go?
@Eyeseeh50 - I dig the 8 stage events with service area after three stages. It forces all of us to push with caution. Once we're done the single event, we should see how everyone feels about the length and added challenge for future seasons...

A question for Project CARS and the CRAP League. So, I put in PCARS this weekend for the first time since purchasing DiRT. I had forgotten how cool that simulation is. Kind of makes me regret my pre-ordering of Gran Tursimo Sport...Anyway, the one thing I noticed is that FFB is not at all as good as DiRT. While I find I have to muscle the wheel more in general, feeling loss of grip seems weak to me, which translates to late corrections...and sliding into the sand traps. I've read in many places that fiddling with the wheel settings is key for this game, but in looking at some of the settings it seemed more complicated than I feel it should be so I haven't bothered. But I think I'm missing out on an even better experience.
If anyone plays on a G29 and can suggest some good settings for FFB, it'd be appreciated. Thank you, in advance.

Really difficult rally, the first stages in the rain were like ice skating. It felt like I pulled a bit of time back in the next few but then Frauenberg was a disaster, a few crashes, lots of spins and a big 15 second penalty.

OFF TOPIC ANNOUNCEMENT!!! My buddies aND my plan to set up a 24hrs of Lemans on project cars has fallen through, but I am still up for putting it together. Although my Internet isn't strong enough to host it so if anyone would like to help plan it that would be awesome. Off topic over.

I would be interested in hearing people's thoughts on what they want the next season I set up to be like.

I had thought of doing a sort of world championship, do all five venues in the same car. Each event to consist of 6 to 8 stages and run over 5 weeks.

I think that sounds like a good idea, then people get used to the car, and it will feel more like a authentic championship :)

I think that's a great idea. That said, if it'll run for five weeks that should give us time to have a proper rally. Like 9 stages per venue and I also really like the service area every three stages, which really forces everyone to care for their vehicle to ensure they can finish. Whadoya think 'o them apples?

Well that didn't go too well in the end. First few stages I was swoping the lead with MAXPOWER before it all went wrong an off gave me a puncture which had to be changed and dropping me well down the order and in the final stage another off slowed me.

Got to say though, the old scooby is mega fun.

It looks like Frauenberg in the dark is one of the toughest stages we've had yet. All of these Group A cars feel great to drive, especially the Delta it might be a tiny bit slower than the Impreza but it is perfectly balanced, you can attack all the way through the stage.
