***Official Rally Monte Carlo Report***
"It's amazing what can happen in an off season, as well as within a specific rally. It terms of the off-season, I just kept telling myself that you can't force things. If you try, generally nothing good comes of it as last season's Group A Championship proved. In terms of specific rallies, this weekend was proof positive that if you stick to it, good things can happen. My team produced a rock solid, fast car for me this weekend. Finishing as high up the leaderboard as we did feels like a victory to me and I couldn't be more pleased. Keeping pace with the drivers in this Championship is no easy task and I'm honored to be able to race with them and honestly surprised at being able to keep up for this rally at least. Now, it's off to Finland to begin testing. A rally where you really need to be mindful of where you can really push versus where to be cautious in order to be fast overall. That's where the learning for me is right now. We're excited, but know we have to stay focused on the next corner and not on championship points."

Started on Masters again today in group A instead of my 2010 Fiesta. When it's fully upgraded I'll most likely retire and start again with a different car without upgrades if I'm far off first place

You can work on upgrading your car in Custom Championships (in your career screen...) and win money too. You choose the number of stages and events. If you set your engineering team up to service your specific car (the third perk per engineer will give 15% upgrade time boost) and twelve stages will do it. Unfortunately, you can't choose which venue you'll race, but the flip side of that is, it doesn't matter where you place as it's about upgrading your car. If you take 45 minutes, you can fully upgrade any car in that time. That way, you don't risk having to go back to "Elite" by retiring from your "Masters" season.

First two stages completed with a bit of a scare 2 minutes into the second stage. I have been experimenting with SHAREfactory and here is my run through SS2 Kailajärvi.

No real incidents to speak of this rally. I had one strange off where it's almost as if my brakes didn't work briefly. It's not a difficult corner, so I'm not sure happened there. On the power stage I had a very familiar off. One that I did twice last season. None of the heavy hitters have run yet, so hopefully I don't fall to far down the leaderboard. My goal coming into this rally was 5 the place and I'm sure I can at least achieve that.

I don't mind going back to elite :) I'm just choosing a car I don't have upgraded yet and have fun doing Masters 👍

So uh it looks like racenet will let me join.... I play on Xbox though, would it be cool with you guys if I did some events with you? I love doing these community things but I'm pretty slow and can't find much for Xbox peoples.

If you can get it to work then go ahead and join us but I'm not sure the leagues are cross platform.

Yeah I kind of thought about that after I posted this, after us looking at the Reddit leagues that I'm part of they all have different league links for each platform so it probably wouldn't work. Oh well .

I actually don't run a set up. The car usually feels good as is.

I personally find it necessary to ALWAYS shorten the gears a few notches. Probably because I get real nervous at any speed over 100km/hr :nervous:

Other than that, I never touch anything, either. The cars feel nice out of the box. The only exception are the two tarmac rallies. I do stiffen up the suspension and dampers for those events and I love the improvement in the handling.

Hey guys, I run an Argentine league and there's one guy that really stands out and kicks all of our asses every week. I think he would enjoy the challenge in the CRAP league. I was wondering if it would be OK if I invited him to race with us?

I think its best if this league is just open to GTP members, it's a competition but also a social thing.

Hi @pefi it looks like you have your answer in the previous two posts. Sorry about that. Unless of course he is a gtplanet member and would interact with us? The league is set to public so that anyone can join.

Glad I asked first! Thanks for the input, I understand!

Hello everyone!

I completed my first race in this league and then I found this forum and realized that I'd need to introduce myself before continuing this season any further.
Many of the DIRT leagues has become pretty passive and that is the reason I ended up joining this league as I saw it was active. I must say after few stages in Finland that you guys drive like crazy! Then again if there is any problems that I joined this league I may leave as well. Just to confirm it's ok me to drive here.
