CRAP DiRT Rally Club [PS4] Racenet League Events live

SLRE is awesome if you can get past the crappy graphics.

I was skeptical. That said, I got it super cheap last week and I agree...it's really good. I really like the how the stages are constructed. I'm impressed with the physics, although I find that it's too forgiving when you make mistakes. You're 100% right, the performance and graphics are way below what we'd expect. Screen tearing and FPS below 30 (especially at night) are a little disappointing. Over all, it's awesome and holy CRAP (if you'll pardon the pun) there's a whack load of content.
Here's where I think it fails, and maybe you use a different set up...but the FFB is terrible. I find it hard to feel when my grip lets go initially which gets me on the power to hold the power slide. You can't feel when you're in the air and when you land there's no effect on my wheel, which is disconcerting. What are your FFB settings?

@Pfei - I know I've asked before...and I'm too lazy to go back and check...but what time zone are you in? I ask because on Thursday nights, I race in a PSGL F1 2016 league. They go every Thursday at 8PM ET. I don't know if you could work with that timing. But if so, let me know and I will send you the link to get a ride. I think we have 4 or five seats left.
It's Silverstone tonight...

@Dice73AF , thanks for the invite. That's 10pm for me (GMT-3). I do a Thursday latín american league at 11pm which, despite only being one hour later, is a lot more comfortable for me since 10 is around bed time for the kids. Plus playing with the host being in South America is great for lag. Butter-smooth races!

F1 is a blast online. The game was a very unexpected surprise for me. And for some reason it's really getting me anxious for GTSport.

Who knows, if I get bored or fed up with them I might see you there in PSGL. Thanks again!

You're quite welcome. The on-line racing community needs a lot more people like, literally, everyone in this C.R.A.P. League.

Yeah, it's ridiculous that game. Especially playing on line with guys who are crazy fast. It makes me get better every week.

+1. I consider myself a "good" racer. I'm no alien but I'm definitely above average. Tonight we race in Monaco. I was time-trialing last week and am top 4%, which for me is pretty decent by my standards. But, it's like FOUR SECONDS off the #1 time! I'm struggling to identify where I can gain a second, but... FOUR seconds??? :banghead:

And I have really had my ass handed to me online. You're not kidding, there are some real crazy fast guys playing this. I haven't played an F1 game since the 90's on the PS1 and I am having trouble adapting to the massive understeer of these cars. The late-apex slow-in-fast-out rule is absolutely critical in F1, and the cars are so damn fast you don't have time to correct anything if you mess up.

I'm no alien either. My results in this league can attest to that hehehe. I'm pretty good with Gran Turismo, and lately I think I'm even pretty fast in DiRT...just not like our very own CRAP aliens. F1 _ I've got lots of learning to do.
I've never played an F1 game until this. I'm actually not much of an F1 fan, to be honest. But yeah, trying to adjust from driving rally cars to F1 monsters is quite an adjustment. I find the cars really frenetic. Getting it back when it goes HAS to be instant correction or your into the wall.

Top 4% in Monaco? Jesus. You'd lap me in 5-6 laps. I'm not very fast yet... If you want to practice and get yourself some extra confidence, let me know. You can see how slow I really am :gtpflag:

Hi Everyone

Well after a months break the next season is all set up and will run from tomorrow Monday the 31st October through to Monday 12th December which gets us close to the holiday season.

All events are set up using the 2000 class of car and most are 8 stages long.

We start with Wales just because the real event is currently in progress followed by Greece, Germany, Finland, Sweden and a little bit of a sting in the tale with Monaco as the final round.
As always the final stage of each event is a power stage where the fastest 3 drivers gain extra points. All events are set so that there is servicing after every other stage plus ahead of the power stage.

Hope to see you all on the stages again .
