CRAP DiRT Rally Club [PS4] Racenet League Events live

How do I delete this post? my Internet had a slow moment and I thought it didn't post, so I ended up posting the same post twice.

OK everyone, I have put together a CRAP Rallycross league. I'm not quite sure how this works but it is set up as 3 events, 1 a week at the clubman circuit for each venue. We will be using the 1600 cars to start with, ai is set to medium, 3 heats, 2 semi's and 2 finals. All dry sunny weather.
If this works out OK I will put together a full championship in the new year.
Events start at 8am this Friday and the league page can be found here crap-rallycross

Just did the RX event and I think for the leaderboard, it's just the time you set in the final that is taken.

A final I almost didn't make incidentally because I forgot the AI at Hell do this...... :yuck:

Agreed live RX races would be great - 7 GMT on any coming weekend should be fine for me too. 👍

Just finished Germany, not a good rally for me. I couldn't get comfortable with the car in the wet and had no pace and lots of small mistakes, I was expecting it to tell me I was something like 15th but I guess everybody else struggled too because I finished 3rd on that one and just kind of stayed there for the whole rally.

Things were a bit better in the dry but it was still really scrappy.

My review of the rally germany.

I started the rally with big hopes and a target to finish in the top 3. On the shakedown I noticed the car is very uncomfortable to drive. So I changed a few things on the setup. It helps, but I couldn`t drive max attack at all. There was much water on the track and it was very slippery. On these conditions the car understeers a lot. From stage 3 it was dry and I began to drive much more aggressive. However the times were terrific. A couple of times I went off the track and so on.

This isn`t the result I wanted to have, but I have to accept and look forward to the next events.

In finland I`ve no target. At first I would like to finish the rally and to speed up the pace step by step. But there are only 8 stages what means I`ve to adjust quickly to be competitive.
Hopefully I won`t get any tyre blowouts.

Well as per usual I just could not find the pace on the sealed surface of Germany. The first stage being wet felt really slippery and from there on I had no real confidence in the car. Two half spins on SS7, the first night stage didn't help. So this is going to put a dent in my championship position.

I am stunned by Mr Manuelos's pace, he's in a class of his own.

To make matters worse I also did the first CRAP Rallycross event but didn't make it through the semi's!

I think this rally will just close everything up, Manuelos is a bit behind at the moment but depending on how the powerstage has gone I think 3 of us will be separated by a couple of points.

I hadn't saw the link to the RX league before is there any chance a moderator can add it to the OP?

btw I'll spam the link again for the others who haven't seen: https://www.dirtgame.com/uk/leagues/league/64911/crap-rallycross

This rally was going quite well, for me. I was Second and a stupid penalty that makes zero sense cost me 15 seconds. That frustration carried through the rest of that stage and the subsequent three stages and cost a lot of time in mistakes. Hopefully @Eyeseeh50 will overturn this penalty so I can take 4th place back.

I've received penalties before that I have understood. I have gone off and been given penalties that add insult to injury which I'm not a fan of, but I understand why they are in the game and I deal with them. This however makes no sense to me, I didn't go off or hit anything, in fact I don't even all 4 wheels off of the road. There are many time where myself and I'm sure everyone else here had all 4 wheels off and did not receive a penalty. I believe that this is the game is at fault here.

This was my best shot at a maiden podium in CRAP and I blew it. Germany is by far my best Rally. Had an excursion into the 15-second netherworld at the end of Stage 1 and a half-spin on the beginning of Stage 2 that cost about 5 seconds. Those two errors sealed my fate . The rest of the Rally was smooth..

That's a close one, looks like you might have just given him a love-tap up the bum with the passenger side mirror. Might need the Dirt Rally forensics team to give him the once over and check for bruises.

Looking through this thread we all struggled with the first two stages which created big gaps then were all too equal over the dry stages to change the order too much. With a full dry rally it's possible we could've seen a 7 car battle for 2nd!

Here are the provisional results after rally Germany. These may change after a decision is made over V0RT3X's penalty issue.

That penalty does seem a bit harsh.
How do you feel about the situation @Pfei as you will lose a place in the overall standings if I remove this penalty?

Yeah that's total BS. People stand in the dumbest places in this game. If you want to reverse the penalty that's fine. Gonna have to start recording the stages myself. These spectator traps are littered throughout the game.

Had a perfect rally Germany. I knew I had to score big points in my favourite rally after two 4th places. Didn't seem to struggle in the wet like everyone else, the focus handled like a train on rails on every stage.
It'll be a whole other story in Finland I think

Just like in real life ...

Oh first podium, nice! :) Though looks like I was fortunate with nearly everyone struggling with the wet stages, and the car was probably quite flattering too (I don't know about other 2000's cars but the C4 with its straight line speed and understeery-but-smooth handling feels great in Germany).

Finland next? My radiator is already protesting........... :scared:

***Official Germany Rally Report***
Had an acceptable first stage in the wet. Then the proverbial wheels fell off. At the start of the second stage, I immediately got a 10 second penalty for jumping the start, which set the stage for things to come. I went off at the right six into right four into left four. Too early on the power out of the left four, but it's into a flatout section so carrying speed out of that particular corner is imperative to put in a competitive time. That cost me 10 seconds, for 20 seconds total on that stage alone. Two more mistakes through the rest of the rally and I plummeted in the standings. Such a shame as in testing, the car was fast and the set up comfortable. It just came down to execution and we came up short. It's one thing to be fast in testing and something altogether different when the pressure's on. I need to learn to settle down when the pressure's on and we should start seeing some better results.

Only one podium for me so far, into my fourth C.R.A.P. Championship. I know I have the pace in practice. It's time to start showing that in competition.

How many bonus points do I get for this?

I don't usually upload entire stages but I think the power stage sums up my entire rally pretty well, kind of all over the place and lucky to make it to the end (with some of the car at least). There is a moment at about 2:00 which is definitely the biggest crash I've never had, 4 near misses in a single corner (3 of them probably would've been terminal)!
