CRAP DiRT Rally Club [PS4] Racenet League Events live

I pushed too hard on the power stage and threw away 2nd place with a puncture. Bad end to the season.

I have set up an event for this week using all the Group B cars, just for a bit of fun. The following week I will set up a similar event using the 80's class of car as requested by @V0RT3X . These events are meant as test sessions to decide which class we use for the next full season which starts in the new year.

Well I just managed to scrape passed @GOTMAXPOWER in Monaco to secure the championship!

Congratulations @Eyeseeh50, you put together a really strong season.

I think as an whole everybody has really stepped up their game for this season, some of the rallies we've seen podium battles separated by seconds going right down to the last stage, and it's not all the same people, there must be over 10 people who have been winning stages this season. Hopefully next season will be just as good!

Story about the season with Subaru. I only had time to practice on rally Finland and that rally went ok for me. In all the rest I just went straight to the rally and with Dirt Rally it usually is not very good choice. I failed to finish Greece and now Monte which I managed to drive off the cliff in first stage. All in all I never felt comfortable driving Subaru as I usually do with Focus 00, never actually drove the 07 version in this game yet. In Finland I found the setup I felt good with and as said before it was the best rally for me this season (missed Wales because of surgery). I wish I had more time to practice on next season otherwise it is useless for me to drive at all because without practice I end up crash the car too much and I didn't find driving very funny at times.

This season went bad and I only finished 3 out of 6.

Sorry to hear you are getting frustrated with the game and your results mate. Take a break over the holidays and I would like to see you competing again next year.

Halfway report: stages 1-3 were good but had two spins on the 4, currently sitting in 7th but that could change.
It's officially safe to say that this season was a disaster

Well what can I say, that's the current championship season over. It's been great fun, with some very close competition, but finally I have managed to win the championship I organise. It couldn't have come at a better time as it's my birthday today:lol:.

Well done to @TRGTspecialist showing some lightening speed on the slippery roads of Monaco, an event that seems to have made quite a few competitors struggle. We had 26 starters and only 12 crossed the finish line!

The next few weeks, over the holiday season sees us doing some fun events and the next full championship season will commence on the 2nd of January.

I will take this opportunity to wish you all a very merry Christmas and all the very best for 2017. Cheers

Nah it's just I hate losing  After sleeping the night I'm more than ready for next season again. I just need to find some time to practice a little bit because those new cars for me. It's been really fun to compete with you guys and looking forward to the next season. I really need to work out my driving in Germany. It is the most challenging rally for me. On the gravel I think I'm doing ok.

Congratulations @Eyeseeh50 for the Championship! The highlight of the season was our battle in Finland.

:odd:  :dopey: :gtpflag:

I really enjoy Monaco but I wasn't expecting that, what a nice surprise to end the season. :) Although a bit relieved too because I had the stupidest of spins on the last corner of the last stage, if that had cost me a result I would have been livid haha :embarrassed:

Also a bit ironic that the win gives me one of my lowest points totals because so many didn't finish  @Manuelos you picked the right rally to retire from :P (the right championship outcome though, as you're no doubt a faster driver than me!)

I did have one of my best CRAP stages on stage 6; maybe not the fastest one but the car hooked up really well, got into a good rhythm, and was so much fun blasting through it - as opposed to most CRAP stages where I'm just stressed out trying not to crash. :D

Many thanks to @Eyeseeh50 for running the season, and congrats on your championship! Can't wait to do battle with you all again next season. :)

@Eyeseeh50 - Firstly, congratulations on the championship. Well deserved as always. It's your consistency in the "hard rallies" (i.e. Greece and Wales) that's something to behold. Atta boy!
Also, I wanted to take a moment to thank you for maintaining this league as thoroughly as you do. It's always fun to race, but your attention to detail and fairness in regards to decisions on penalties, etc. makes it truly immersive and even more fun. This CRAP League is second to none. Everyone here is just a pleasure to race against, as nobody whines about stupidity. So a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to the entire CRAP DiRT Rally Leaguers for being awesome!

Iain, Merry Christmas to you and yours!! Have an awesome holiday season and I'll see you on the leaderboards for the upcoming Championship in 2017.

I'll definitely compete in the next season! :D I've been looking for an excuse to get back into some competitive racing and DiRT Rally would always be my title of choice.
Welcome to our group, I look forward to seeing your times on the stages in the next season.

Oh boy, I just broke my wheel. Or it is not broken yet but the sound is weird and it keeps every one in the apartment aware that I'm driving. Any suggestions for the new wheel? Currently run with T150..

Yeah, I have the T300rs wheel and it has performed faultlessly for over a year now. Love it. I also recommend getting the T3pa-pro pedals as an upgrade to the stock pedal set.

I'm on a Logitech G29 and it's freakin' awesome!! I'm a big dude who beats the ...er....snot out of it and it holds up fine. I don't want to insult anyone, but from everything I've read, Thrustmaster historically struggles with reliability, and for what they charge I feel it's a big risk. Not to mention that the pedals that come with it are cheap...with no clutch pedal. If you want good pedals they hose you for it. As @Eyeseeh50 said, it's almost essential that you upgrade the pedals and the shifter, which really brings up the cost. The pedals that come with the G29 have way surpassed my expectations...and again, I muscle the...er...snot out of it with my 240 lbs. self. You do, however, need to buy the shifter separately for $60 CDN of 40 euros (approx.) You need the shifter with the G29 to act as your handbrake, as pressing the "O" button is next to impossible while frantically turning the wheel. I find the FFB on my G29 really impressive
That said, I have also read that provided your T500RS doesn't break and you have all the add ons, then it's apparently superior...but again, you'll pay for it dearly.

If $$$ is no issue, then go for the Thrustmaster. My personal opinion is that the G29 is far more economical.

Okay thanks guys! I have these two sales for now, G29 189€... or this sale..:
https://cdon.fi/pelit/thrustmaster_t300_ferrari_integral_rw_alcantara_ed_(ps3/ps4/pc)-36797586

Yet the difference between these two is already 200€ and then Im going to get shifter as well so I would get G29 with shifter for 350€ or T300, and shifter for 550.. It's quite big difference here as well..

It is such a big investment that I will order them both, try them and return the one I like least.

The T3PA Pro pedals aren't cheap either. The whole set up is almost double.

If you get the G29 - get yourself a Pagnian Next Level Racing Wheel Stand with the money you save :-)
