CRAP GT6 - GT500 Sat 7 Nov 9pm EST (GMT-5)Open

So i did some testing on Heathens track last night, Still not sure what car to use, but is anyone thinking about race strategy? Tire Choice to start with and finish with? I might do some testing in my practice option so i can test fuel length and tire life. The free run Lounge wasnt setup to degrade tires or fuel.

Can't those options be changed? I thought anyone could change the regs in a lounge? that's why I not bother!

I've also received concerns over HP restrictions vs PP but it has to stay as is for this race. I will keep an eye on results compared to car choice & see how it goes.

Dead right, as long as folks are happy with email then send them through to gtpc.r.a.p@gmail.com & I will include in emails.

I will post the same info but figured mods may get cranky with too many OP edits? not sure why I thunked that but it made sense to me, mods can you clarify?

Also didn't want a massive OP, might turn off new members if they're confronted with an opus OP (OOP  ) so I try keep updates minimal.

Also to all members: please don't neglect our old thread, that needs to be kept going so we can recruit more folks & give more people the glory of C.R.A.P :)

Mods don't care about edits to the OP. Over three seasons and several months of the Capp Cup, the race director has made dozens of edits, for standings, race results, videos, details etc and changes to the title of the thread like "Capp Cup v3.0 Important Race Schedule Change-see OP".

Everyone knows that's where you go to get the latest information, and the body of the thread is for banter and chit chat. Anything important is updated in the OP so everyone knows where it is without having to sort through dozens of posts to find something, that may not be there in the first place.

And it doesn't have to be in a massive OP. You can use the OP to introduce everyone to the concept of CRAP, and then at or near the top of the OP just put something along the lines of: For the next scheduled CRAP race date, please look HERE, that being the link to the second post, which would be reserved for the next scheduled race details. Simple, easy to follow and once people get into the habit, everyone knows what to do and find what they want quickly.

With potentially 100 or so members of crap, all posting on this thread, stuff is going to get lost very quickly. Email wouldn't be my first choice for communication, but it can work. But to me, keeping everything you need within the body of the thread seems so much easier and simpler.

Will PM you Johnny, need to get more ideas etc. First time I've done this so a) don't want to screw it up & b) need to get it done right first time without adding to thread if possible.

Yeah those options can be changed, I just didn't turn them on :)
I started the lounge E10rice was reffering too, so I just set it up to way I liked (the easiest to drive on!!)
I just wanted to see the track and try for my best lap time, and not worry about tire/fuel etc..

2:43.2 was my fastest, with a GT500 class car tuned to about 605pp :) on racing softs (which is pretty much all I use... heh)

ENDURANCE RACE INFO, PLEASE READ:

Ok guys so the HP restrictions (as opposed to PP) have caused a wee stir.

Folks are a little concerned that HP restrictions could create a field of imbalanced cars so I am asking if those participating can advise the following:

1- Make of car
2- HP maximum
3- PP

Anything else is up to you do please feel free to tune as you desire.

I will name mine in the next 12-18 hours.

Registrations for enduro are now closed but there are still spots available so pm or email me if you want to join.

THE SECOND RACE IS STILL A POSSIBILITY SO ANYONE KEEN FOR A RACE AT 11am SUNDAY ACDST PLEASE TELL ME ASAP :)

yeah i didnt start the session so i didnt want to change anything, The person who starts it has control over the lounge. What tires were you running? I was on Racing Med. when i set my 2:43.2XX before i left. Oh and in the beginning when i was 7-10 seconds behind you in time i couldnt figure out why? until i realized i had detuned the engine for a different online race :banghead: After i fixed that was when i put up my faster time.

All C.R.A.P Members please go here and vote ASAP

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=230792

We are lacking numbers for the enduro guys, it would be a great shame to either reduce laps or run a full race with only 5 drivers so please vote to let me know whether you can enter.

Thanks all :)

PS guys - I am doing 9hr enduro, few hours left, so my Heathenpride profile not been available for races but fill those lounges amd race had :)

Hey Heathen, just sent you an FR & added all your rooms bar the enduro ones, as I very much doubt I`ll have enough time to race enduro.

If I do, I`ll add them as & when. :)

Not 100% mate as I have not had a chance to test & tune yet, will do that tonight. I do know that Ken nailed a 2:15 a while back with (I think) a 600PP limit, Ken is that correct bro?

I'm still not 100% on my car choice yet??? it's a toss up between a GT500 car and or a road car??
My GT500 choice is the GT-R stealth (even though I have a bit of trouble with it I think 50 laps on Oaklands should help fix that :dunce:)
Or my road car choice the F430 Scuderia (easier car to drive but not as much fun!!!)
anyone else having the same dilemma???

Apologies, I can't make the race tomorrow. I'll be in the office for most of tomorrow and I will spend some time with my kids after I'm done working. I hope to make the next race.

I am leaning towards the Stealthie too :)

It is all moot though if I don't finish Tsukuba 9hr in time... got 3 hours 25 min left, and I am out all day so it will e tight :nervous:

i did a 2:43.2XX with my GT500 the other night but it wasnt even at the 550 bhp and today i did a 2:41:XXX in my R35 GTR TC but i messed up the pit straight so it could be 2:38:XXX but who knows.that also comes stock with more than 550 bhp so thats useless. Both times were set on racing med.

come on ken dont make me laugh! your probably 3 seconds faster than that. Im in the free run lounge now with mcantony, and psycho-tuber practicing. I just ran a 2:40.186 with that stock R35 GTR TC tuned down to 550 bhp and racing mediums. Theres still some time out on track i need to find. oh and with this car racing med will last about 13 laps including a couple off course excursions and it burns about a little over half a tank at the same time.

Sorry folks, haven't been online for a while. Lots of stuff going on that needs attending to. I'm hoping to get a few races in over the next week.

And the last straight. I've always been at least a second slower than Ken each sector down that hill!
