CRAP GT6 - GT500 Sat 7 Nov 9pm EST (GMT-5)Open

no formalities other than reading the Original Post & following the instructions bro :)

Welcome aboard :D

Awesome! Look forward to getting involved in a race. My first forray into online racing, every time i'd tried before it was full of rather annoying people who did't seem interested in racing!

That's online racing in general for ya - I sometimes wonder why some folks buy a game - we're different though, and a lot more fun to be around.

So i just did some time conversion and it seems that the first enduro race which qualifying starts on Sat. 8am ACDST is Fri. 5:30pm EST in the US? and so that would mean for the race start on Sat. 10am ACDST it would be Fri. 7:30pm EST in the US? Can some one else confirm this?

Like chris78cpr, I just found your club, and would like to join!
I'll add all the rooms tonight.

My PSN ID: Manou001 (France)

Bang on mate, correct. Assuming you have your own timezone correct though, I can't take responsibility for incorrect calculations!:sly:

thanks alot to meanelf!
it means alot to me, especially sacrificing your sleep which i feel bad about... :(

i take back anything i said about spa previously. it's a good track when u're pushing it! not the best but definitely good.

btw, i've found a new love in the GT500 class. thanks to heathen! :)

Hey, no worries bro - it's work I'm missing, not sleep :sly: and that's not a worry as there's no one there to know when I arrive...

It's a pretty damn fine representation of Spa alright - maybe GT6 will have an Enduro on that too...

Anyway, glad to have been able to help.

Gents, I think it's Sunday (Saturday for this half of the world)
...Please note that the very first race will be held this coming Sunday on my Oaklands Park track at 8am Aus Central Daylight Saving Time

Or am I reading that wrong...which is quite possible.

MeanElf
Go to sleep, I've just seen the time where you are 03:20...

nah... bet u that devil's having an ice cold beer in one hand and the other hand on his wheel enduring his enduro!

well... What is it? :)
that's one of the most fun classes to race with!!
I'm kind of partial to the Calsonic Impul GT-R
but honestly, I find all of them are just as good as the other...

That's what I figured as well. Looks to me like 5pm eastern time Saturday night. I'll definitely partake in the future though so no big for me

it's the Arta NSX! :)
performance beats all other GT500s hands down if you're able to master it.
i'm definitely going to spend some time taming this beast!

edit: i think all GT500 NSX handles and perform pretty much the same despite having different sponsorship liveries.

No, no :banghead: i must have misread it, your right Sunday, which is Saturday for us in the Sates and Canada. Sorry but the times should be right.

oh crap... i gotta wake up at 5.30am for this...

worth it if it's fun! :)

I won't be able to join you guys for the first enduro. I'll be working and even if I do get home in time, I'm sure I'll be too tired to sit through a long race. 13.5 hour days start to take their toll after awhile, so you can count me out. I'd love to be a part of the Spa Enduro though. Let me know when we figure out a time for that.

I'm new here but I see talk of Enduro's and scheduled races. Where do I find the info on these?

Here ya go, this is from page 15 of this forum by Heathen Pride, the first one will be on his created track:

ENDURANCE RACE TRACKS - POLL RESULTS CONFIRMED:

1- Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps
2- Nürburgring 24h
3- Suzuka Circuit

Please note that the very first race will be held this coming Sunday on my Oaklands Park track at 8am Aus Central Daylight Saving Time and will be a race over 50 laps with a horsepower limitation of 550BHP. All aids will be on (SRF off if all racers agree) and beginners and veterans alike are welcome.

Make sure you download this track from my GT5 profile and practice it.

Please PM me with your intention to participate by no later that 23:59 ACDST this Friday night. You must register your intent to enter as it helps me organise it, please don't just rock up and expect to race because I may just tell you to naff off!

All details will be sent to participants via PM after the cutoff.

Prizes awarded to 6th (out of 12) place. I might have an issue sending the 3rd prize of a 1967 birthday ticket (daily limit exceeded despite not sending anything) but if I cannot send I will accord 3rd place a most suitable automobile from my garage.

I downloaded Oakland Park tonight. I'm really going to try to make it to the race on Sunday. I still have to make sure I know what time it will take place in my timezone, US central time.

I just have a question regarding car choices: I see that the hp will be limited to 550, but I'm not clear on what cars are allowed or are not allowed for the race yet. Any cars or just a specific class? Thanks to anyone who replies. I'll be in my lounge or the CRAP casual lounge practicing and testing for the upcoming race tonight if anyone wants to join me.

hahaha Jerk Tug?

if you can't make the first then we cab do another later in same day? I have advocated that all along but no one has asked yet, is anyone else interested?

unfortunately, I wont be able to make the first race. that would be 5:30Pm eastern time in the US Saturday for qualifying and 7:30PM for the race
If there is enough interest in having a second group run a little bit later, even say 3-4 hours after the first one, you can count me in. I just wont be home until after 9PM my time :( (11:30 AM Heathen's time)

if there's not enough interest for a 2nd later race, i will try for the next one. cheers!

there isnt a specific class of car for the event, just hp limits and tire choices, so pick a car any car and test and tune with at most racing med. no racing softs. just left the CRAP free run lounge and there were two other people in there tuning for the race on heathens track

G'day Yeti :)

I decided to leave it open and just restrict BHP. Well, NSX's are not allowed (hehehe) or drivers called ken  but anything else goes!

I think I had tyre choice open? I can't remember if i limited it to RM or RH or left open... Can anyone confirm? Apologies but I have a sheetload of stuff on so the little things like this get forgotten :(

EDIT: Thanks Rice - Med's or Hards folks :)

Timely to remind folks:

1- There is 13 hours and 45 minutes left to register.
the race will be starting (with Qual first) at 8am ACDST on Sunday. For those USA and Canada folks that is about 5pm on Saturday, depending on timezone, but please confirm local time.

2- It is preferred you have your vehicle fully tuned and ready to go so you do not need to leave the pit area during qualifying.

3- The essence is to have fun and try to race clean. Naturally this is not always possible and all i ask is that you all try at least. No one will get in your face or boot you for it but please try and minimise bumps and cutting off other drivers. Penalties will be off for it as I do not believe we need them but I ask you all to keep an eye out for any shenannigans and let me know if you see anything.

4- Please do not rage quit. If you are the type of guy who quits if he realises he won't win then please stay on track for this one, it does lessen the experience for the rest if drivers leave mid race.

5- Please try and ensure optimum comfort levels are attainable. This is an enduro so you will be in one spot for a couple of hours, unless you have another driver which is fine, so a toilet break a drink or two and something to snack on are all recommended. Ensure your posture is at least decent to avoid strained back muscles etc.

Lastly (no doubt I forgot something) please ensure that nothing else is using your internet! No one wants to hit lap 48 in first place (beating ken = good luck ) only to drop out due to internet outage... Seriously make sure that the chances of interweb outage is as minimal as possible!

Thanks guys :D

G'day,

Keen to join, psn Id is genghi. I'm on Perth time regularly but around full time work and rapidly approaching family commitments.

I'll keep an eye on club thread I suppose?

Will do mate. Check club thread and add the lounge ID's that I created, they in OP of club thread :)

We have an enduro on Sun morn 8am qualifying so 5:30 for you. You can have last qual spot if you like so if you get up at 7am and run a few laps then we can start. Let me know via PM and that goes for anyone else as well, head to the C.R.A.P thread (in my sig) and check all details 👍
