I spent a couple hours in the Crap_Free_Run lounge tonight. Doing laps on Heathens Oakland Park track. That is a fun track! Very twisty, but still fast! and a really fun straight stretch (that turns..) to finish off the lap.

It's going to be one heck of an endurance race!! I don't have a lot of racing experience, but I don't think it would be an easy track to pass on, its pretty narrow most of the time, hehe.

Cheers bro! I love that track, I put effort into it and refined and tweaked and then released it and not a single person has disliked it that I have heard from, I am stoked with it

The idea was to create a technical track that would be harder to pass on BUT there is the long last half which is great for passing, still gotta be careful though as one can go flying off track on one of the bends for sure, and there are also a couple of shorter straights in the middle so if one can "fang it" out of a corner it is possible to boost past another driver!

FYI everyone: I still want to do the 12 car x2011 proto race on my custom built proto track

Just missed you ken , I was there running my GT-R GT500 Stealth at Oaklands (again nice track Heathen hope I can drop only 1 lap behind everyone )
PsychoTuber dropped in for a sec, but that was around the time my 3yo thought it would be a good time to learn driving manual and I couldn't stop him changing gears on me so we didn't get to run any races

It is no huge drama but we want the rooms to be used for their intended purpose as much as possib. I think in these early days the habits of our members now will set the stage for future members

And I am not telling you off dude, for all I know you are racing, I am just using your post as a timely reminder to everyone

ENDURANCE RACE TRACKS - POLL RESULTS CONFIRMED:

All, Please refer below for the tracks to be raced as per the recent C.R.A.P Endurance Race Poll. They are in order but the finer details have yet to be fleshed out, laps etc.


Please note that the very first race will be held this coming Sunday on my Oaklands Park track at 8am Aus Central Daylight Saving Time and will be a race over 50 laps with a horsepower limitation of 550BHP. All aids will be on (SRF off if all racers agree) and beginners and veterans alike are welcome.

Make sure you download this track from my GT5 profile and practice it.

I am sending a PM to Heathen to confirm my intent to race. Might I suggest you take the profile/lounge that the race is to be run in, have that profile copy the track from Heathen and then we can all download the track from that profile? That way we don't all have to friend whoever created the track in order to download it. Might as well use the created profiles as much as possible. It'll streamline things for the future as well.

I might also suggest that you begin, if at all possible, posting planned race dates in the OP or a reserved post after the OP, so you can have a central place to cover all details and changes to planned races, so you don't have to go scanning through a busy thread to find out what's going on. Go away for a couple of days, you might have to go through 200 posts, just to find out if there are changes, when you could just go back to the OP and find out in seconds. This is the way most race leagues are run and it works quite well.

There is logic to this - if you sleep, then you run the risk of sobering up, so by not sleeping you save all that money you'd need to get drunk again.

There used to be a group called C.A.T.P.I.S.S. (Campaign to Attain [and maintain] Two Pints in the System) you could tell they were drunk, because they didn't notice the extra 'S' at the time of conceiving the society.

Yeah, we almost had four folks racing together then...it's building nicely! Kudos Mr Pride - this is the most fun racing I've had online in this game - and those were just casual races, the real enduros haven't even begun yet 👍
