Hey everyone, just to keep you updated, I am getting back into PCars finally after a very long, probably needed break. I was playing 10+ hrs a day doing Hot laps and trying to get close to ZakSpeeds time Anyway, I have Sundays/Mondays off of work and GMT or UK time that you guys are on I believe is around 8 hrs ahead of PST. I signed up for the GT4 championship someone is holding, its 8PM GMT which is like noon for me so it works great. You guys should sign up as well so I have some familiar faces there.

Anyway, I am back and getting in to the swing of things.

Edit: Also I will be on in about 9 hours from this post if anyone is on for some friendly driving/practice in a variety of cars I'd love to have some CRAP pals join 👍 Only kind of driving I've done even remotely recently was with the DS4 on GTA/DriveCLUB

Edit #2: I see there is an event on Sunday 11PM EST, If I am awake/on PCars that early (8 am for me) Count me in 👍 Need to do a good amount of racing/practice/events to get back into the swing of things

ok boys, got the disc and have played a bit, feel free to FR me. I've got ffb mostly default except for taking out the deadzone, but i'm sure some tweaking will help me. I won't bore you with impressions exxcept to say i'm enjoying the level of immersion. I'd appreciate a mostly gab session with some knowledgable fellas. All these links just confuse this old fella
I'm 6-7 hours ahead of GMT and 12 hours ahead of EST

My race was fantastic too, firing my car into others due to the rolling start and the game controlling it, who also had the same problem, didn't even start the race, god i hate this game sometimes!



At least there's some great racing ahead this weekend, see you all later!!

I think the result might not update the finishers behind you if they change position after you finish and doesn't update your fastest lap is its the last lap of the race. More testing required.

I too ended up in a wall with the rolling start. I think the problem was not everyone knew we were rolling to start.

Yes we probably should have. The trouble is with two parties and no in game text it is difficult to communicate effectively.

On the subject of rolling starts, a little while ago i did an enduro with a different crew and they had a warm up lap and a "manual" rolling start. I was sceptical beforehand but it worked surprisingly well, and the warm up lap really added to the immersion.
The key points were - nobody exceeding the prescribed speed (50mph I think it was) - nobody overtaking the car in front during the warm up - everybody being aware of the start marker (start line or edge of barrier etc).

It might be worth trying it a few times, but I'm sure CRAP can master it...
