I'm not thinking of a single incident as I don't race as much as I want to ;) I know there's several racers that's had incidents with me but I haven't mentioned it to them on pm or on GTP.

Sure @knukken, but maybe there lies the problem, if nothing is said, nothing changes........ Of course if in a race i have contact with someone, and one or the other of us says "sorry", depending on who's at fault, then that's great (as mentioned in the CRAP commandments) But if that doesn't happen, and things carry on as always with more accidents, then that's a negative for CRAP, and/or any other racing club, in terms of fun, and having as clean as racing as possible. I myself race hard, but i know the limits also........

I race in CRAP to have fun races, not to be punted off in silly and/or pointless moves every few races. If a conversation takes place here in the thread, and not via a PM, then it's usually productive, not a bad reflection or negative, as all of us regulars can talk about things, and improve them. 👍

Look I understand you might be frustrated with regular contact from individuals. However, as knukken asked. Please keep it private. We've had issues with this before.

First off, contact the other party. If still an issue then me by pm although be prepared to sometimes read an alternative viewpoint about specific incidents.

A very good question. I dont know about @DIOGOPINTO121's running of it(I think he said April 1st (or did I imagine that?) . It sounded like a possibility of @knukken or @Spooky Wooky running one at 7:30pm today (tomorrow morning for you).

I'm sorry I'm less organised this week and haven't stayed on top of things on here. I've had a chest infection and have been in and out of hospital.

I'm not sure about it running tonight, didn't see much interest in the Enduro thread.
 
All,
I'm out tonight (Saturday) for a rare evening with the wife but have friends babysitting, one of them will be on project cars playing solo. Please don't send any race request tonight please as I will be in the pub. I may be on very late ( midnight) but that depends on how much alcohol I consume) :)

I think it might be down to you or @knukken to host Iain. If I am around I'll join but will only be playing remotely on phone and controller tucked up in bed. Of course there are chances of disconnects again as Sony haven't fixed the problem their working on yet. Even if there are only a handful of us we do it.

If anyone is online now or soon I'll be on shortly. Send me a message /invite.

Hope you recover soon mate, you seem to have had a run of bad luck with your health lately.
The network was rock solid last night for all the racers we did so fingers crossed.

Well if you guys run one tonight and someone streams I will definitely watch from bed (if I'm awake). I've done some tests using the DS4 and phone on remote play and the input lag although sometimes minimal is just too much (even on 5ghz wifi) to bother with in a game like this.

Anyone got any suggestion for some games where input lag might not matter too much? Maybe more strategic stuff?
 
Dio originally planned for this month's enduro to be a day/night wet/dry race, lasting 90mins, so I did a bit of testing to help out with the settings.

I did a wet/day lap in the Audi in 1:58 and a dark dry lap in 1:47. I'm not the quickest driver and on this track the Audi is not the quickest car, so I'll use 1:55 as a wet time and 1:45 for dry. So the average lap time overall should be about 1:50. For a 90 min race that will = 49 laps, might as well round it up to 50.

Time wise, Watkins glen is still light at 19:00 but is dark at 22:00. If we start the race (in game) at 18:00 and aim to end it at 22:00 it will equal 1 in game hour for each of the 4 weather slots.

So for starters we have -
50 laps
4 weather slots - Rain, Light Rain, Heavy Cloud, Light Cloud

Time progression is either 2 or 3.

I'm not sure how to make the weather "work" though.

Monopoly? :lol: try farming sim. top speed is 50 mph on car and truck and 32 on tractors ;) Far Cry or something similaar could work?

@Spooky Wooky remember our sakitto eduro? it started with raing and it never ended... i wouldnt mind if we reverse those settings starting with light clouds. that track is hard enough to drive with clear weather at night

March is leaving and never coming back soo tonight is probably our best shot ;). Can all interested and available hit a reply in this thread or enduro. If the numbers hit we can go ahead :).

@knukken If it's hard to drive in the clear at night, it would be even harder in the rain. I'm certain someone here knows how to make the weather work.

I know how to make it happen.

Ensure you don't use sync to race

Weather slots last 1 hour so using Weather Progression x2 makes a slot half an hour. X5 makes each slot 12 mins. Etc

Once the weather has reached the end of the last selected one it will loop round to slot one again.

The exact timings will not be equal slots as SMS programmed variety so as to less predictable.
 
I'm not sure if I'll be around at race time. Expecting visitors and don't know how long they will be here for.

On the time progression thing, x2 will probably mean a twilight race end, x3 will mean it might get dark a bit soon. The way to work around it (if those 2 options aren't good enough) is to increase the in game hours and fit the x"X" to fit around it.

Ok I spoke to @knukken aswell looks like I'll be hosting. Need to get a grip on the weather, @JohnScoonsBeard so an 18:00 in game start with 4 slots weather finishing at 22:00 in game needs x5 time prog and x2 weather prog not synced to race..? Are my maths adding up on that..?
