Regarding Zolder I've done some testing (see below)

Regarding the bickering that took place, please see the post before my CRAP COMMANDMENTS post.

I'm not going to point the finger at our internet warriors ;) but I will say that they were all a bit at fault to some degree although all made some good points. How's that for diplomatic fudging?

Please leave it in the playground next time CRAPpers. We're here to enjoy ourselves.

Important.

Show each other respect on track and off it.

No over-aggressive driving.

No constant corner cutting.

Read and learn the Commandments. There could be a test.....anytime.

Onto my testing. The video below shows that chicane at Zolder mostly in Time Trial mode with examples of where the game penalised me. It then finishes with an example from a race which highlights that penalties for that corner are not right for racing. We need to regulate ourselves regardless of whether penalties and flags are on. The valid examples in the video are what we need to aim for and the invalid ones are what we should try our best to avoid. Errors occur but if you pass someone outside of those boundaries give up the advantage and try again.

I think the 2nd example in particular shows what is just about acceptable.

The AI cars drive the correct way through that corner. So can we.

We won't penalise people as that is just a faff to police and is embarrassing for everyone involved in the group. However, to avoid this we all need to be using the same rules. We'll go with the FIA rulebook on this one.

"2015 F1 Sporting Regulations - Published on 26.02.15...

...20.2 Drivers must use the track at all times. For the avoidance of doubt the white lines defining the track edges are considered to be part of the track but the kerbs are not.

A driver will be judged to have left the track if no part of the car remains in contact with the track..."

That doesn't mean you can't use kerbs, just that part of the car must be in contact with the track/white line. Try and get it right most of the time and we're fine. If you're struggling to avoid cutting the chicanes/corners you're going too fast. Brake earlier or harder.

See you Wednesday if not earlier.

Nice work John, this is really good.

I hope all this doesn't effect any racing and the dynamic of this group. I have to say, this is a great group, by far one of the best I have ever been involved with. I love to race fair and last night was a great example, I made a mistake which effected kkj, gave the place back along with loosing another position but at the end of it, I was still smiling after having a fun and overall clean race.

I'm not sure I will make the race on Wednesday but if I am going to be, I will let you know John.

Thanks to the lads that sent me invites, But I have too much going on at the moment. Family stuff, Work issues and no wheel stand. I have a new stand ordered as my D.I.Y One was kack. Kept moving around and creeking. So took it out back door and smashed it. Fun but a little mental I guess. lol Folk next door look concerned:mischievous: Hope to be on within a week or so.................Hope to be.

Catch you soon Crappers

Which stand did you go for?

My wife said..... How about ..... Noooooo.

That would be my wife's response too. Still I once got her to play Prince of Persia 2 on PS2 and she took over for a 13 hour marathon so I'm not sure I want to encourage it.

The only time she's played with the wheel is on GT5 and 6 doing Blind Hotlapping in teams of 2. 1 driving blindfolded using instructions from the co driver. Now that is a lot of fun with the wheel.

That looks brilliant!

Thanks football, yes i love this combo more and more!! A quiet night online tonight, so i'm taking advantage of trying a few things, as have little time to do it otherwise. We should do a race there this week! ;) Maybe tomorrow?

They need to invent smellivision ASAP, imagine the smell of burning rubber whilst doing that in the Yellowbird! :P

@JohnScoonsBeard I have ordered a stand from Pagnian. Next level racing stand. Sim racing say its more sturdy than some racing rigs they have tried. It Looks great, Solid. No movement from wheel or gear shifter attachments, And 5/5 tells me enough to get the cash out:tup: Do you have a wheel stand yourself bud?
