Yes, on G29 max torque and sensibility on 10 is perfect, though a little tiring, but with a DD pro's force feedback you definitively want to reduce max torque with this car 😄 (never tried myself, but looking at videos of other players using it the force feedback is definitively stronger than the one of a G29!)
Quick breakdown of current GT compatible wheels torque values.

G29 2.1 NM
CSL Elite 6 NM
DD 5 NM
DD PRO 8 NM

I use a CSL Elite for GT and a Direct Drive 25 NM Simcube 2 PRO on PC. The benefit of more torque is that you can articulate a higher range of feel from the feedback. Depending on the feedback itself you can feel and tweak vibrations that a lower powered wheel cant detect so in the end its really more about finesse than raw power. Unless you are some sort of masochist who likes potentially damaging your hands while sim racing

I think the G29 is a very good wheel for its price range, but the torque feels a little weak on slower cars, even with 10-10 settings. With the Tomahawk it is perfect and feels really good imo, even if after all this grinding I have to say my hands, shoulders, neck, knees and left feet hurt and I wasn't able to play since yesterday night (I'm 40yo but I feel like a granpa... ><). I even became to feel dizzy because of the car's speed and lack of sleep xD

Anyway I had a really good time with my G29 and will proably have some more, but if I could I'd buy a DD pro right now, I really want to see what it feels to drive with a direct drive wheel. I think I'll have to invest in a driving seat before that. My wife makes me drive in a stupid low chair, my back hurts so much after a few hours on that thing! ><

One thing I find super cool even with the G29 is the gestion of mechanical damages. On this race it's set on "light damages" so it will recover after a few, but when you hit a wall or bump into a car at this speed you will most likely twist the direction cam and have your wheel locked at 5 or sometimes 10° on the left or right in the straights for a while. With heavy damages settings it must be epic :D
I think it should be mandatory in the daily races, so that some people may stop punting everything in their way....

I think what makes the G29 a great wheel is its durability due to its gear drive. Its also its biggest flaw as the feeling of gear lash is always there and muddies up the feedback a bit. Still a very competent wheel and an outstanding wheel in its day. I would take one over a controller anytime. lol The Tomahawk is way faster than I am for sure as are modern F1 cars in the PC sims.

Its funny but we see all these high end racing rigs and imagine how cool they are to use but never think of the physicality of it all. Starting back in 2018 I have been fortunate enough to build a pretty nice though still very entry level rig for sim racing with a motion platform and its been an amazing experience [ I keep pouring money into it lol 3080Ti ] Using it is actually a somewhat taxing experience as my concentration level shoots way up especially in VR. After a couple hours I feel like a run down old man lol. [ I'm 51 ] Eventually I want to buy a DBox but the current roughly $17K price tag keeps me away.

I grew up in Watsonville and Santa Cruz Ca, From the age of 25 to 33 I raced a MK1 GTI in the SCCA ITC class on and off mostly at Laguna Seca [ my local track ] and Sears Point in Sonoma Ca. I never expected it but with good visuals in VR and a small amount of movement its surprising how much it feels like being in a real car, its still strange without any sort of G load but surprisingly similar.

DD wheels are generally a really neat experience as they are what you make them on PC. Feedback is one of those things that feels different everywhere from one sim to the next and GT is no exception. My only gripe is really the mostly unpredictable snap oversteer that seems to be a constant. I would like too see how a DD PRO feels with the game as well.

It keeps coming up with an exclamation mark for the PP when I adjust the gears to the ones in the OP where am I going wrong?

EDIT: didn't have RH so that's why I couldn't get it done.

I found out this morning that this race can be won with a Gr.B rally car.
It isn't easy, but you'll actually get a close, competitive race.
I only won by 4 seconds. :scared:

You forgot the T300 which is around 3.7Nm or 3.9Nm

Yesterday clocked 800 kms worth of mileage in the Tomahawk. My highest daily workout score.

If PD do come out to patch this, I'm not expecting it before Wednesday, their favorite day of the week to release updates.
I had a huge 750km day with the Tomahawk-X yesterda, today the tune is gone. 😢

No maintenance or update announced. Does this mean we got another week of grinding? I'm at 7000km.

What? It's fixed? I've been clicking re-play for 2 hours now. Works fine for me.

I‘m attempting to tune the car from yesterday’s screenshot. 🤞

Cannot seem to get the unicorn pp again, it was a great 48 hours.

Must be great to have a sim rig, and far more to compete on real races! 👍 You must have had quite a good time ^^
I love to race on Laguna Seca in games but IRL it must be an amazing experience!
My dream is to buy a '97 Supra and to go training on Japanese tracks since I live in Japan. Maybe someday, who knows!

I'd love to buy a sim rig too, but it's really expensive and as I play mostly Gran Turismo it won't be very useful... ^^'
But even on GT sport in VR I had a great time and it feels so real even with the bad resolution and bad recognition of the camera that I just cannot wait for a GT7's PSVR2 update! 🤩
On the Nürburgring with the Redbull X2014 I had a great time. It's a track I still havn't mastered by this day, but in VR you really "fee" the track and its relief that ou know exactly were to decelerate, where to break, and when you can go full throttle.
You need some time to get used again to 2D screens after that. I'm actually buying the most cars I can just because I want to drive them all on VR! 😄 I hope I could do that on a DD pro if I manage to convince my wife until then 🙏

For the G load, I'm happy I don't have to feel the Tomahawk's one. Would have probably died a few times by now 🤣

Not sure how relevant this is, but I seem to be losing 1 horsepower per 90km with oil deterioration.
I change oil every 3 races and still had to replace engine and to restore rigidity 2 times... 😖

By the way, I just tuned a new build using the one from stickyBOMB and I'm pretty confident with it!
It's not as much fast as the previous ones but in the end it's really good 👍 In one hour of time I managed to do a 14:36.157 ith a 5 seconds penalty and a 14:49.817 with a bunch of penalties.
Since the exploit hasn't been patched yet I will post it on this thread later.

I can’t get below 1200 with either tranny, on Sport Soft nor Racing Hard. Why do we have two fully adjustable trannys anyway? I just opened this event this morning info at 4am, and now they nerfed it?!?!

Next time remember to save your settings sheet so you don’t have to mess around and lost the earlier settings

i have been using this for ages and nothing gets nerfed

Yesterday I tried to replicate that 14 min race but unfortunately I couldnt do it. However I did get some pretty good laps that how I get 14 min mark. Bear in mind Im using fuel save lvl 6 and tyres are completely dead.

I just opened the event today. There was no sheet to save.

Your 4th gear ratio is wrong.

Just in case I copy/paste that here, check it out :

「For those having problems making the builds work:

・Double check that all is the same as in the video. The differencial gear by example MUST BE the fully customisable or normal depending on the build. Same with ECU (names may differ depending on the game's region).

・Be sure to set the suspension values, max speed and gears ratio correctly.

・Be sure to buy the ballast too even if it's not used in the build. Two users didn't manage to make the set up working because of that.

・For the gears ratios, begin by moving the cursors of the 3 first gears fully to the right, then go out of the menu with circle button and do that again until you can go to the 9.000's (it should take 3 attempts).
You can then tune the 4th to 7th gears.
After finishing the ratios set up, the 4th gear only will most likely change to a different value than 1410. Be sure to keep an eye on it and set it up again if that's the case.

・When you have multiple settings sheets, especially if you use the "copy sheet" function your tunes may become buggy and won't go under 600pp no matter what. I had the same problem a few times.
If it happens, delete all the sheets and make a new one from zero.
Anyway, never use the copy sheet function when you want to make a new build. Just create a new one 👍

・just in case, avoid pressing triangle button until the set up is finished.」

I followed guide exactly, but also noticed, just moving the springs/dampening or various things just 1-2 notches over, would jump 1200 to 600 to 700 to 1200. Sometimes even in the same direction. So it's def a bit of messing with it. I got it down to 480pp with comfort soft too. LOL.

Yesterday & day after got 2 & 3 star roulette tickets for daily workout. Both of the times, the 5 slots were filled with 3 cars, 1 with lots of cr & the last slot with basic amount of cr. As expected, both the times, got basic amount of cr (10,000).

Hence, this annihilation or glitch in simple terms, is so very justified!!!!!!!!!!

Are you upset about this ? I am not... 🤪 this maybe will not be patched any time soon.
Nah, I'm kinda glad.

Makes me think if they will patch it next week, would I be able to get to the credit cap ? lmao

As we all know by now, the AI aren't the main competition in the race. It's ourselves as we always would want to try to lap faster than our best time set in the race.

So I keep trying to win races with either different engine map settings or gears selected. For eg; I prefer A/T as I use DS4. That's why if I for most of the time keep 6th or 7th gear, I don't need to downshift till 4th as I'm not much used to changing gears.
