Quick breakdown of current GT compatible wheels torque values.Yes, on G29 max torque and sensibility on 10 is perfect, though a little tiring, but with a DD pro's force feedback you definitively want to reduce max torque with this car 😄 (never tried myself, but looking at videos of other players using it the force feedback is definitively stronger than the one of a G29!)

G29 2.1 NM
CSL Elite 6 NM
DD 5 NM
DD PRO 8 NM
I use a CSL Elite for GT and a Direct Drive 25 NM Simcube 2 PRO on PC. The benefit of more torque is that you can articulate a higher range of feel from the feedback. Depending on the feedback itself you can feel and tweak vibrations that a lower powered wheel cant detect so in the end its really more about finesse than raw power. Unless you are some sort of masochist who likes potentially damaging your hands while sim racing
I think what makes the G29 a great wheel is its durability due to its gear drive. Its also its biggest flaw as the feeling of gear lash is always there and muddies up the feedback a bit. Still a very competent wheel and an outstanding wheel in its day. I would take one over a controller anytime. lol The Tomahawk is way faster than I am for sure as are modern F1 cars in the PC sims.I think the G29 is a very good wheel for its price range, but the torque feels a little weak on slower cars, even with 10-10 settings. With the Tomahawk it is perfect and feels really good imo, even if after all this grinding I have to say my hands, shoulders, neck, knees and left feet hurt and I wasn't able to play since yesterday night (I'm 40yo but I feel like a granpa... ><). I even became to feel dizzy because of the car's speed and lack of sleep xD
Anyway I had a really good time with my G29 and will proably have some more, but if I could I'd buy a DD pro right now, I really want to see what it feels to drive with a direct drive wheel. I think I'll have to invest in a driving seat before that. My wife makes me drive in a stupid low chair, my back hurts so much after a few hours on that thing! ><
One thing I find super cool even with the G29 is the gestion of mechanical damages. On this race it's set on "light damages" so it will recover after a few, but when you hit a wall or bump into a car at this speed you will most likely twist the direction cam and have your wheel locked at 5 or sometimes 10° on the left or right in the straights for a while. With heavy damages settings it must be epic
I think it should be mandatory in the daily races, so that some people may stop punting everything in their way....
You forgot the T300 which is around 3.7Nm or 3.9NmQuick breakdown of current GT compatible wheels torque values.

I had a huge 750km day with the Tomahawk-X yesterda, today the tune is gone. 😢Yesterday clocked 800 kms worth of mileage in the Tomahawk. My highest daily workout score.
If PD do come out to patch this, I'm not expecting it before Wednesday, their favorite day of the week to release updates.

I‘m attempting to tune the car from yesterday’s screenshot. 🤞No maintenance or update announced. Does this mean we got another week of grinding? I'm at 7000km.
edit
What? It's fixed? I've been clicking re-play for 2 hours now. Works fine for me.

Its funny but we see all these high end racing rigs and imagine how cool they are to use but never think of the physicality of it all. Starting back in 2018 I have been fortunate enough to build a pretty nice though still very entry level rig for sim racing with a motion platform and its been an amazing experience [ I keep pouring money into it lol 3080Ti ] Using it is actually a somewhat taxing experience as my concentration level shoots way up especially in VR. After a couple hours I feel like a run down old man lol. [ I'm 51 ] Eventually I want to buy a DBox but the current roughly $17K price tag keeps me away.
I grew up in Watsonville and Santa Cruz Ca, From the age of 25 to 33 I raced a MK1 GTI in the SCCA ITC class on and off mostly at Laguna Seca [ my local track ] and Sears Point in Sonoma Ca. I never expected it but with good visuals in VR and a small amount of movement its surprising how much it feels like being in a real car, its still strange without any sort of G load but surprisingly similar.
DD wheels are generally a really neat experience as they are what you make them on PC. Feedback is one of those things that feels different everywhere from one sim to the next and GT is no exception. My only gripe is really the mostly unpredictable snap oversteer that seems to be a constant. I would like too see how a DD PRO feels with the game as well.
I change oil every 3 races and still had to replace engine and to restore rigidity 2 times... 😖Not sure how relevant this is, but I seem to be losing 1 horsepower per 90km with oil deterioration.
Try a clean sheet. I just opened the event this morning and just got a chance to get on. It’s not working.Just made another $825K, so it's not patched yet. Great news
Next time remember to save your settings sheet so you don’t have to mess around and lost the earlier settingsI can’t get below 1200 with either tranny, on Sport Soft nor Racing Hard. Why do we have two fully adjustable trannys anyway? I just opened this event this morning info at 4am, and now they nerfed it?!?!

29 mins wasted. Finished 14th. It can't be this hard, surely? :indiff::banghead: Hmm, so you're about 7-8 seconds a lap slower than me? Just to start with the basics, are you using a wheel or controller? If controller, do you have it on max sensitivity, and do you have the stick fully...www.gtplanet.net
Your 4th gear ratio is wrong.I can’t get below 1200 with either tranny, on Sport Soft nor Racing Hard. Why do we have two fully adjustable trannys anyway? I just opened this event this morning info at 4am, and now they nerfed it?!?!
Nah, I'm kinda glad. Are you upset about this ? I am not... 🤪 this maybe will not be patched any time soon.
As we all know by now, the AI aren't the main competition in the race. It's ourselves as we always would want to try to lap faster than our best time set in the race.Nah, I'm kinda glad.
Makes me think if they will patch it next week, would I be able to get to the credit cap ? lmao
