How long would you like to race the CRZ's

I thought the race would last 1 hour and 30 minutes...turned out just under 2 hours. Longest Online race ever. But learned so much on how to remain consistent. Would surely have another go with other types of cars.

Once again, congrats to Paul for winning the whole thing with only 1 pit stop. Took balls and he made it work.

Thought it went longer must of got my maths way wrong I know we started the race later than I planned, I will check the replay tomorrow.

Thanks all for turning up  good racing

Well done Paul Mac for the Spoon win and W.G.E for the Honda win.

Ill post the qualiyfying times and results tomorrow off to bed cya

Congrats to w-g-e and PaulMac. Well done on the class wins.

A well organized spot race Hass, thanks for your efforts. I highly enjoyed my battle with you all race.

Congrats to Paul and Wes on their class victories.👍 It looked like dominating drives from both of you. Wes sorry about two taps entering the chicane, I wasn't trying to dive bomb you and wasn't even going for a pass, must of locked the brakes or something because one of the times I even broke before you and still got into to you.

Jon(gtp_jtv90069) and I had a great race going almost the entire time. A lot of side by side racing, a lot of passes, some bump drafting, and a late dive into the pits by me when I saw he was entering. In the end I got lucky where some mixed class traffic and a lapped car or two helped me to build a gap that I was able to hold. I know I'm in for a good hard race when Jon is in the same class as me.👍 I forgot we were doing laps instead of time and was ready to slow when I read checkered flag typed by Paul.:dunce: Once Paul did finish the race I was reading his victory message for some reason and I was completely blocking oxtjo and proceeded to set a moving screen for the next corner as I tried to get out of his way but only made it worse. Sorry Joe.

Well, great job everyone. Thanks again to Frank for organizing it and putting the race on.

Thanks for setting it up, was an 'interesting' concept and driven well by all. However, from a point of view from a standard car driver who doesn't possess the extrordinary lap-time skill of GTP_w-g-e, it was a lonely race that felt like 'us and them', just like we was purely traffic and offered nothing to the event!

Did you not have any (long distance) battles at all during the race?

I had a lonely race as well, but I tried to make the race fun for myself. Whenever the battery kicked on, I tried to beat my personal best laptime. Whenever a Spoon CR-Z passed by, I tried to get into their slipstream and gain some speed. And when I saw a slower Honda CR-Z in front of me, I wanted to lap that car.

You can also try different techniques or different lines: Brake later or sooner, throw the car around or be smooth, try a different view.

No, from lap 1 or 2 I went from last on the grid to 10th and slowly pulled away from the other guys but never had the pace to catch you 3 up front. For the remaining 54 laps after that I was just traffic with not a single battle to get involved in. :indiff:

Great event Hasslemoff, it was fun to mix it up with the different levels of cars. It added a unique element to the event something I'd definitely be up for again. But for a spin to avoid a swerving Honda in my second stint, I would have been right in the battle for second, as it cost me 12 seconds that lap. That's racing!!

A big thankyou to all who took part in the race 👍

.

My apologies, the race ran for 1hr 49 mins on the timer, I'am sorry.
I worked it out by 1:49 X 60 = 89.4 mins, I must go back to school or Paul drove to slow :sly:.

Sorry to hear it. I personally was expecting the Hondas to run a bit closer together for a while.
I can say one thing that you were not purely traffic for the event and not many people possess w.g.e speed around a track.

I know how it feels and understand your point of having a lonely race, sometimes you get chance to run with somebody most of the race and sometimes you dont it's what you learn and the experiance you gain from it.
Thats why I made it into the multi class so if people were running alone they would still have to be aware of cars about.

I hope this has not put you off from running anymore online endurance races, there is some good ones about with many different classes of drivers and cars. Maybe have a look at the times that people are lapping at and see if the times are similar to yours.
A good one is 3D3 races, yes you need a GTP tag but there is many drivers at different levels racing every week.

But it showed a lot of commitment if you felt that way through the race so thank you for staying and thankyou to anyone else who felt this way through the race.👍👍👍.

Ahh wonderd what had happend was keeping an eye on you with the map then you dropped right back sorry to here you had a spin. I'm just going through the replay now.

No problem mate, quiting isn't in my nature! I've already committed to another endurance event on the 3rd of June; Gallardos V's F430 Scudeia and on Saturdays practice race i set pole and kept the lead from start to finish unchallenged so i was very happy with that! I think i'm more suited to a higher power car than a tiddler, haha!

Nice pictures Paul:)

Cheers Wes, just thought I'd get some pictures while going through the replay, but I still never worked out who put the barriers from the chicane all over the road :).

It wasn't me.:P

The math actualy works out at 1:49 (109 seconds) x 60 = 1 hour 49 mins :P. I think it was faster to do a 2 stop though so maybe I could have taken 10-15 seconds off my race time ;). 50 laps is much closer to 90 min at 91 mins race time (Which would have made a 1 stop very easy :P)

Also it was Xpower iirc as when I came up behind him into the chicane he went too deep and hit them across my front end .

It was a great race I got pole (Just) and managed to break the tow very quickly to build a comfortable lead of around 11 seconds before everyone pitted. 1 stop was a bit silly now that I look at it but I managed to suffer through the first stint then preserve them better in the 2nd stint even allowing myself to push for the last 8 or so laps to use the tyres i'd saved :).

Yeah i think it was me, i was trying to stay out of your way and was looking behind me and ended up braking too late and nudged a couple of them but later they were all over which deafinatley wasn't me!

Thanks for a great job organizing the event, Paul [Hass]! 👍

If you guys are interested, I'm running a 2 speed race involving the RX-7 TC and the Roadster TC (both DLC cars). It'll be held on Friday, 25th of May at 7PM GMT (8PM BST). The track will be either Nurbrugring GP/F or Fuji (full circuit). Same-ish time as this race.

I just popped in here to say that these are some great pictures. Can't wait for the exam period to end already... Oh well, b-spec until then.

Nice plug 👍, but i've not got the DLC cars sorry and got WRS, 3D3 and Calm to try and find time to race.

Thankyou for the compliment :)

Lol, as you can see in Paulmacs pictures me and Sag caught them just after your incident, I tried to change my line at the last minute to try and avoid them but gave in :)
