A TVR Griffith 500. A really surprising car. Make the right setup, and slap on some R3 tyres. I promise you, you won't find ANYTHING in that price range (i paid 25,000 Cr for my '94), which can beat that baby in handling. Really, really impressive. Try it out for yourself, if you haven't yet. With 554 HP (full stage tuning) and 960 kilos of car, you still have 100% control of the car, even in tight city curves, due to the low weight, superior braking force and the handling characteristics of the car. I haven't tried yet, but I don't dare to imagine, how well this car would peform on R5 tyres! I bought the car, because I was looking for a new project, and because I had to deal with the English car events, and I certainly do not regret it!

the nissan R390 road car. When tuned with stage 4 turbos, r1 tyres and a rear wing this is a true race car. also wins el capitan endurance (does better on this track than any other track for some strange reason).

Also, the 1993 calsonic skyline makes a great street car with road tyres.

My all-time favourite's are the R34 Skylines, although I've been playing around with the Nissan GT-R Concept a lot lately. When tuned it is a serious racing machine.

1987 GNX: She can be so temperamental with the breaks and throttle, but she is so much fun for me to drive. Lets not forget to mention how poorly she turns and handles, she takes lots of effort to be graceful, especially as power is increased. It is so gratifying to win or just to move up the ranks in many cases using the GNX.

Ah the GNX!! I love that old beast. Handles like a boat, heavy, and butt-ugly (werent all 80s AMerican sedans hideous bricks??) but winning in it (especially in the screaming tuner car cup) is VERY gratifying indeed
👍

Takes a lot of fine-tuning to get it to handle properly though.

Who you calling ugly?! LOL!!

Out of all of those 80's sedans my favorites where/are the Regal followed by the Cutlass Supreme. The Monte Carlo SS was not to far behind. The Bonneville, etc, though all basically the same, just didn't inspire me like the Regal Body did. It's still my favorite to this day and I will be very disappointed if it doesn't make it into GT5. I have a very worrisome attachment to this car. No idea why. :-)

Yeah, they were boats, but my dads '76 v8 Monte, now that was an ocean liner. Hahaha! Very responsive though for its weight. I have fond memories of being able to sit on the front face of the car while working on the engine with my old man. They just don't make cars like that anymore. You can't even stare hard at a modern car without it getting cracked. But I digress before I spiral completely off topic. ;-)

Yes, yes, yes, winning in the GNX is very rewarding. 👍 The game pits you against some very modern, powerful, and much better handling cars. As you said, it's painstaking to tune. Unlike some cars where you can fling some numbers at it and much more easily improve, the GNX takes a lot of work, at least for me. Especially when trying to find that general purpose balance so you can race with your friends on a variety of tracks.

I'm sure there are other cars in GT4 with similar chracteristics, but I don't know. I only switch cars when the race parameters demand that I do. Everything else, yes even the the GT Challenge, I race in the GNX. :-)

👍👍

My yellow 350Z, I did 100's of laps at Nurburgring in arcade mode. Lightest weight most power.
It was for a GT4 comp I found in a MOTOR magazine.

I did enjoy the Nissan R89C. One quick car.

I'm currently in love with my Honda S2000 - tuned to drift in accordance with Boundary Layer and Swift's settings. So much fun I'm giggling like an excited schoolgirl :D:D

My favorite cars would be 05 Ford GT, the MINOLTA Toyota 88C-V (most used at the moment) and the Suzuki Escudo, even though it only gets to 210MPH, it has the best acceleration, did less than 8 secs in the Vegas drag strip.

My favourite car would have to be a tie between a Mercury Cougar XR-7, a R34 Skyline, and a BMW 2002 Turbo. all have been tuned to my style and all have adequate power, good handling and are all easy to drive.

Proto Spirra 4.6 V8

Until tonight I had never once driven this car (although I WAS aware of it's existence). Flicking through Mad Finn Tuners I noticed they'd tuned one, so I decided to 'give it a bash'... I would highly recommend this little diamond. Seriously loving driving this car, it's especially at home on the city courses 👍

My favourite will always be the BMW M5, 330i, M3GTR Race Car and V12 LMR....

No wonder because I'm a diehard BMW fan.... :P

Hmm....Id say the Model T. Not because Ive driven it, but because it gives me something to aim for.

My favorite cars in my garage are probably the black GT (Im a Ford guy, and the GT just kills everything), the 80's Civic race car (best handling in game IMO, also race same gen Civic in real life), and the Minolta 88C-V (could never have beaten the game without it).

And the Formula GT, but thats a cheater car and I rarely drive it..

My Favorite car has got to be....

What else?

The BMW McLaren F1 GTR '97 "LongTail"

It's got excellent speed and acceleration, as well as cornering and braking. It's got 800+ HP and can reach a speed of up to 273 kph(Sometimes 300 kph when drafting behind a faster car)

Too bad the game doesn't have a road version

My favourite is the Mazda 787B. It gave me a lot of problems on the GT4 world championship, until I bought one myself. I did not modify it at all, started from the back of the pack, yet still won without pitting!

My favorite car would have to be the '93 Honda Civic EG6. My favorite car in real life, so when I started playing GT4 it was my first car, Mistake. Car Sucked! Being my dream car, I kept it and in the long run it was faithful, Completley stock I won the Civic Cup, Good Times! Once I had the Original Suspension and tuned it to fit my driving style, The car acctually became my favorite GT4 car.

I've gained some appreciation for the lightweight Lotus roadsters. I have a tuned Elan and an Elise 190. I just love the sound on that little Elise with the racing exhaust. You'd think it was a different car if you only heard it.

My Dodge Viper SRT-10, i've tuned it to get it to 450KP/H.
Alas, my data got corrupted, no more dodge.. until i use my utter ownage at amalfi :mischievous:👍

My current favorite one is the Ford GT black, I haven't tuned yet, but it's originally fast :D And the Bentley Speed 8. It looks pretty cool and runs very fast, and is not unsteady like the Minolta 88CV and the Audi R8.

You could do faster in a tuned Gt-r Proto with nitrous:tup:

My new favorite is the Spoon S2000 Race-car. Yeah, sure it can't reach full power EVER and the acceleration is a bit slow, but this thing is a beast in endurance races(or at least it would be if my dad didn't always turn off the Ps2:grumpy::mad::banghead:)

BMW M5!! I have a white one that is stock except for the race exhaust and medium race tires, and a black one that is fully tuned! The white one is a great drift car on the stock tires, and when even that car isn't powerful enough I switch to the black one. It's always incredible no matter which one I choose! :D -kevin

I've always wondered what FFS stands for in the title of this thread. Is it "For 🤬 Sake"?

Going to have to be the '70 SS 454 Chevelle. I choose that car because it is not only the car I drive all the time. I think the '70 Chevelle is the best looking car ever made. All the options that came with them are just icing on the cake. It has been my favorite car since as long as I can remmber and I really don't see that changing. I have never been a fan of the new cars. To me they all look the same. At least forty years ago the cars from different manufacturerers had some character.
