Current favorite car in GT4 (FFS don't just post the name of the car)

My favorite is probably the Chevrolet Cammaro LM. Simply because it's very stable at a race pace, and when you De-tune the Top Speed, its a Rocket!

I've mentioned this car in other threads but I'm going to say it again: Amuse S2000 R1. :) It handles like a dream and has great braking power. I did slight modifications to the original version though (just changed all the parts to "Racing" and weight reduction, but did not do any NA engine tuning for more horsepower). The original version without any extra modifications is still pretty amazing to drive. You can easily beat cars with much more power ;).

that car is AWESOME!!!!!!!

My current favourite car is the AMUSE R1 S2000, it handles so well, looks great too. Its really predictable and hugs the corners amazingly well :P Oh its tuned to 350BHP as well, i raced against my brother in it on the nuerburgring, he was in a corvette race car and.. well i beat him :P

I said RUF CTR "Yellow Bird" previously, but with 1270km on it now, ran in N2 tires for its entire life on Nürburgring, I can definitely expand now my reasons for it to be my favorite car.

First of all, though indeed the car has a tricky nature, due to its oversteer caused by its rear mounted engine, you can control it with countersteer rather easily. By no means is this a child's car. It is a grown up man's dream. You've got to learn how to master it, and you can realize its full potential on Nürburgring, where at speeds of 300km/h at the end of the last straight, you will have to keep it under control as to not oversteer under braking and crashing against the wall, ending what otherwise would become a record breaking lap. You also got to keep in mind another thing: left-foot braking. In a car like this, it is trivial to do so under high speeds as to keep it from oversteering. There's a lot of difference between left-foot braking and normal braking in this one, and using them correctly at the right time can prove to be a very eficient thing to do while searching for a perfect lap. All of this, plus its fun factor due to oversteering nature that leads to drift, is what makes this my absolutely favorite car in GT4, and probably of the whole world. :D

Since I go through periods where I play almost daily to letting the PS2 collect dust for months, my favourite car varies. Just in the past few days I've consistantly driven the HPA Motorsports GTI, which incidentally is the first car I bought in the game. Now, I get behind the wheel without any driving aids and it's a completely different experience from what I remember.

It's a nimble ride with nasty acceleration in its ready made form. I am trying to discern if a tuner like this has already had mods like weight reduction performed. I mean, you CAN do further mods, but I imagine that the design, programming of the physics of tuners are already complete.

Since I still experience tire squeal in and out of curves, I need to make some adjustments to my driving style, and perhaps the tire choice. I thought I may need to tune it to my liking, but this being a tuner car, the stock settings should be appropriately suited. A nice all around car though.

Someone this board recently big upped the VW Bora, which I bought and drove. However, I much prefer the stock GTI from the used car lot.

The CarbonR that you can find under tuner village (forgot tuner name) because it looks totally awesome with the black and white paint scheme

its under Amuse

my fav. is the GT-R Concept....my god, the power on that thing is effing insane...but not too fond of its concept looks compared to what the real production model looks like now...
when tuned to 850+HP, it can beat a Tommy Kaira ZZII in 7th gear in Fuji Speedway 2005 :D

Audi R8 (Race car): Won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, and 2005. Excellent handling in my opinion, and very easy to drive fast. What's more to like than that?

That's so true.. The R8 is such a great car, well balanced and has got great handling and is very precise.. Sometimes oversteery, if you provoke it (e.g. Mission 17) ..

But there's another car that's as good as the R8 and it's the Bentley Speed 8 (Race Car).. It has got great handling and has got some damn good brakes, which allow you to brake really late 👍

I want to have that car, but I first need to complete the 24 Hours race. If I do it, it will be in A-Spec for 200 points certainly, or maybe with the R8. Then I shall do it for 200 points :)

And I'm going to win the R8 with the Bentley, the opposite of what you want to do :D 👍

Minolta is WAY better despite the crappy handling...

And before this go offtopic, my favorite car is the 1991 Le Mans Winner, the Mazda 787B. It handles pretty well for a car its size, and has good top speed. Also, it isn't as difficult to master as cars like the Minolta and R92CP, although these are better cars than the Sevenny.

Better/best will forever be subjective. I've made the 787B fast in not only my own hands but more than a few others' and B-spec Bob's.

It's easy to drive, matches pace, and will stay out longer on both fuel and tires. So I'd say it's the "best" of the Group C cars for any real race as on overall pace it will win. On a 2-lap, arcade-style sprint race, sure, the Minolta, GT One or R89/92 will kill it, but give it a full length race and it'll slowly walk away.

I always likd the 905 for Group C Races. I mean, sure it was not anywhere near as good (gearbox comes to mind) as the other cars, but it had character. And character keeps me awake in a 24 hour race!

after all these years, i finally found two decent cars to drive on arcade mode ..

1. Amuse S2000 R1
Superb handling, it's like glued in the tarmac.. :D

2. Latest NSX-R
also superb handling and it is exciting to play with on the limit.

with both stock condition, laptime is roughly about the same. I'm not into high power /high speed, just want a "decent" speed and enjoy every corner...

~cheers~

Current favourite for me is the Sauber C9.

Not so much for the speed it has (although I dont think I'll ever get 100% out of it) but for me it's a tough looking car, it spits flames and is a bit of a character, its never boring when I race the C9, it really keeps me on my toes!

my favorite cars in the game are the Toyota GT-One and the Bentley Speed 8. Both are ,by far, the most beautiful cars in the game. They also both make a good sound running at 230 mph. they are just breathtakingly gorgeous to see from the chase cam also.

Just super tuned the used Fiat Panda Super i.e 1990 - and it is fantastic - hit the Nurburgring and got a solid 8.14'127 laptime - the thing handles like a flashy gokart - hit 219km/hr on the back stretch - nearly fell out of the cockpit!

It's a keeper.

My favorite:TVR Cebera Speed 12.
I ramped it up from 900hp stock to 1082hp:mischievous:with only a supercharger!!!
Got a silver spoiler to help with downforce (I think that's what they do...?!?).
It owns those sad AI!

my favorite would have to be the '62 Buick Special just because of the way it looks and when you buy add ons for it the cars handles great and has a lot of power

Oreca Viper GTS-R, because of its awesome handling, the acceleration is awesome aswell. I'm not keen on the sound, lastly, the livery is swell, plain & simple.

my fave car at the moment is my tuned ford GT, its called the Ford GT TGP. It had 810bhp.
It set an extremely fast time around El Capitan (1.41.608), faster than a £1,000,000 Gillet Vertigo Race Car ’04 and faster than a Jaguar XJ220 LM Race Car’01.👍
Its INSANLEY fast.

that car rocks

also include: 7b78
r390 race car
zonda race car
r390 road car
any gt40

Pagani Zonda C12 7.3 - In my opinion, the ultimate supercar GT4 has to offer to any Argentine player. I mean, some early Zonda engineering was done by Juan Manuel Fangio. The car itself was designed by Horacio Pagani. The massive power it carries in its Mercedes-Benz M120 V12 engine it's just astounding. Combined with a lightweight of 1250kg, it can basically humilliate most supercars on the game. Tastes may vary, but since it's my opinion what I'm expressing here, I will say it's one of the coolest looking cars in the game. I just wish you could choose a color that isn't silver.

I've recently been spending a lot of time driving the Mitsubishi FTO GP version R. Handles very nicely even as stock.

I think that the Formula Gran Turismo is the best car, it's a beast around almost any track.
Just to include:
2. Pescarolo C60 Judd
3.BMW Fina

Two Audi S4s ('98, '03).
Both using the MFT tuners Audi S4 application. (Thanks Leo) Although, tweaked a bit more to my liking.
Beastly acceleration, with just enough cheek flapping inducing G-Force to not be a nuisance. Curve hugging ability at even high speeds that would rival Moto GP. These have supplanted my previous fave - HPA VW GTI.

Yeah, if only I had this car instead of my '97 VW jetta. :grumpy:
