Not a single person has answered my question. On the $ony website their are people blogging comments to press releases. MY QUESTION is how to post comments when being logged into psn is required? ANYONE?

If you cannot log into the Sony forums then you cannot post on the blog.

Yes, created the email accounts just for GT5 dupping, haven't logged in since i set up the new PSN's for them. And now i can't log in, getting the message "Wrong PW".

It's a 50% chance that it is the work of the hackers. Or the email provider closed the accounts due to false persona details. I don't know, only getting the "Wrong PW" message.

How would the email provider know the details were false? If I remember right when you create a psn, doesn't Sony ask you for three security questions and answers? How do the hackers bypass those? idk I checked all of my email accounts and I can log into all of them. I changed the password on all of them too just in case.

They said "shortly", shortly doesn't mean next week, it means today, now even, not days later.

While it does say "shortly" in the press release, there are also a couple spots (most notably in the title of the press release) that says "SOME PLAYSTATION®NETWORK AND QRIOCITY™ SERVICES TO BE AVAILABLE THIS WEEK".

When you login to PS Blog, a cookie (browser cookie) is created that keeps you logged in for a week.

Actually you will find that historically Sunday has been regarded as the first day of the week....

....and a good number of you need to calm down and keep in mind the conditions under which this thread remains open.

I would also ask that we see an end to the '$ony' nonsense, its no more acceptable than 'M$'. It serves no purpose other than starting arguments. Those of you who wish to engage in that kind of practice will very quickly realise that the staff always end the argument.

Ohh, i am not alone: PSN Hacked = My Gmail Hacked

They are using it mainly to send spam mails. But if you have sensitive stuff (login details, important documents, etc.) in your box, you could face bigger problems.

So if you used the same PSN password for your eMail account, change it now!

I did what others are doing, and logged into the emails my PSN accounts are linked to.
I completely lost access to only one of my email accounts. It was a seldom used, random PSN anyway.

I do strongly recommend verifying access to your accounts and changing the passwords.

So why is Saturday and Sunday callfed a weekend?

That depends on entirely what part of the world you are living in and does not for a second change the point that Sunday has historically been considered the start of the week in the western world.

That its not 'common' knowledge in this day and age doesn't change that one bit.

To be fair, that's proof of nothing related to PSN breach, it is only coincidence. There are similar stories popping up all over the net, and I would bet they are all there to generate traffic for the site/s who publish them.

As the articel start to state, it is purely fictional....!!
So please, stop that fear-mongering.. It has no purpose, but to make ppl upset and feeling insecure.

A good advice to all, however: If you are the kind that use ONE and SAME password for all internet-services, including PSN.. then go ahead and start changing those others to individual password for each service.. 💡

For those of you, that think your old, seldom used email-account once used to PSN, and that you now, when you try it again, get a "wrong password"-message...
Maybe it is just you, that have a bad memory..? :sly: Have you tried activating the "forgot password"-utility??
So stop yelling "hacked..!!" until you have certain proof...

Im sure its called a weekend in Japan too.

Its also a total distraction from the point that the week can be considered to start on either a Sunday or a Monday, given that the statement that they hope to have things running (to a degree) this week could be considered to mean the week running 1st to 7th May.

Given when the press conference was held (the 1st) its also the most likely (see Occam's Razor).

Feel free to disagree (subject to the AUP) but in the end I'm a lot less likely to end up angry and disappointed as a result of my interpretation of 'this week'.

Arguing when the week starts or whatever is stupid, really it is. Anyway....

I watched the stream of the conference and I'm wondering why no one is speaking of the "pay for insurance" bit, am I right in assuming that would be something like buying privacy guard and Sony would pay for it?

Haaaaaaaaaaa!

That's not what shortly means. Go get some sun because we all know many aren't going to get much when PSN comes back up.

Where do you live where that's the case?

The fact is that PSN will be up soon. Y'all need to stop trippin'.

But the start of the week isn't until the 2nd.

Only if you are narrow-sightet, and cannot comprehend that other cultures have different perceptions about what day is 1.st day of week.

If you would spend just a few moments looking at the link I and others provided, you would see that first day of week could be sunday, could be monday...

Also, it could just be a common way of speaking, saying "this week", meaning the (business)week we are about to enter...

And don't you think we have disseminated "first day of week" enough now?

More: Gmail hacked or address spoofed. Sent an email with text of "http://nedakovo.t35.com/" to all my contacts.

It's not a "bad memory" error because i am using a login software. :sly:

Another evidence is, there were 3 false login attempts on one of my other accounts.

I'm sure Sony is a business, which works to a business week and a business time table. The start of the working week (which is what people in the business of business use, even in japan) is Monday, ie next week. 👍
