I don't think Sony or PD can put messages in that chat window inside online lounges when you connect to someone. I'm not sure if that's right, lounge?

Of course I don't know for sure if its possible. I also think it'd be on Sony blog maybe, if they got hacked again, but not sure.

Just read an articles that SN will be down for maintenance from 4:30 PM EST to 7AM EST. Said that the maintenance is for the store.

That was yesterday's cancelled maintenance. Todays maintenance goes on for 14 hours. Store part is correct though 👍

The Playstation Store is up now here in the western side of the USA. I don't see the free games(choice of 2 from 5) section yet. The games are there, but still listed with prices. Perhaps later on in the week....

I've logged onto the store right now, but there's one or two errors that pop up when I'm trying to find the free games. e.g. I go to Games -> Driving/Racing and then an error code pops up. I guess there's gonna be a bit more maintenance to get it completely up and running 👍

The PlayStation Store is back online and thank you everyone for your patience. You will notice a huge lineup of new downloadable games, demos, add-on content, themes, avatars and videos. Also, PlayStation Plus has been updated with new full game trials, free games and DLC, free avatars and even more discounts.

You may have noticed that the content promised as part of the Welcome Back offer is not yet live. It is currently in the final stages of testing and will be available to download soon; we’ll be sure to let you know when.

The next PlayStation Store and PlayStation Plus update will be this Friday, June 3, and then we will roll right into some special publishes starting next week for E3 (so be sure to check back daily!).

In the meantime, check out all the new downloadable content on PlayStation Store.

Yeah, it's kind of up. You can access the store, but a lot of things end up being errors. I logged onto it and hit the games button and it went straight to error. I went to redeem codes and it allowed me to put a code in, but when I hit enter, it became an error. It clearly still has some kinks in it, but it looks like it'll be fully operational in a few days.

It's dead. Tried one of my ps3 users and it said psn was off for maintenance. Went to my ps3 main user account and it auto signed in fine. Weird! Then loaded.gt5 and all it says is can't connect to server. So something is going on in my opinion. This is at 8:40 am pst 6/2 2011.

So, I haven't been logged in on PSN since a good while before the downage. Now when I try it says the password is not still valid and that I have to change it. I press OK and it says an e-mail has been sent to me with instructions, but when I click the link in the mail it says:

"Site Maintenance Notice

The server is currently down for maintenance.

We apologize for the inconvenience. Please try again later."

I've tried on both my accounts both today and yesterday. WTH should I do!?

Keep trying, the links only last 24 hours so hopefully psn is up for you within that time, otherwise you need to request the emails again.

Sony reps set to appear before the u.s. congress today, I wonder if they will have anything of interest to say. I'm guessing no but hoping to be surprised.

I'm having trouble logging into the Sony website to use the forums over there. Haven't been able to log in for about 4 days now. What is going on with that? I am pretty much decided that whenever I create my own racing series, I'm going to base it out of GTplanet instead of over there. Can't even log in half the time at Sony's site.
