Gr.2 next week, my second-favorite class...but PD seems allergic to putting that group on circuits that aren't Fuji, Suzuka, or Autopolis. I don't know if it's in the contract or something, but surely it wouldn't kill them to put a Gr.2 race at, like, Monza or Sainte-Croix B or something.

i remember when we had GR2/dragon trail on race B few months , one of my very best week on this game .....the thrill of taking the death chicane flat out is unmatched

Maybe contractual or an emphasis on replicating real life Super GT events which are held at those circuits. Since Gr.2 appeared at DTS, there's a pattern of Autopolis > Fuji > Suzuka > Fuji > Autopolis > Suzuka > Fuji so Autopolis is next if it continues.

A change to Spa, Le Mans, St. Croix, Bathurst or Kyoto would have my vote.

GR.4 at Laguna Seca. FF specials?
What would be cool is to offer all 28 car choices including the Supra.

One of my funny side notes is, the survey Supra has not been this awesome race machine that people were hoping it to be. The people that ranted about not getting it or not being able to buy it afterward have mostly faded away. For good reason, it's not all that great & it certainly isn't META anywhere. :irked: No harm in my view. It has an exhaust note that can be confused with many other cars.

I had a go at a daily race for the first time in weeks yesterday. I thought I'd give Race A a go as I'd done a lot of practice at Brands in preparation for the FIA race. Got my Q time down to 58.6, I qualified 1st and I only got as far as turn 2 before I got punted down to 5th. The guy who hit me got a 4 second penalty for it and I didn't, so at least the penalty system did it's job. I finished 4th and at the end of the race I found out I'd lost 7 SR points. Not sure how that worked out.

This is how the penalty system works now, but instead of cash it's -SR. ;)

@afc5150 the struggle is real when it comes to rebuilding SR these days. also, I might be wrong, but I am pretty sure we just had the best finish I have ever had at the ring. I couldn't get away from you the whole race, gap up to 1.5 a few turns later it's down to .5. A great run, you passed me on the straight, but I managed to squeeze by on the last turn for a drag to the line, and a .085 win. my hands were shaking after that. I am really strong on the last couple turns and knew I had a chance as long as dirty air didn't cause me to take us both out.

IF, that was you.... if not it was a very similar psn

yesterday, was half and half for me. it started with a handful of good runs, and although the competition stayed fairly clean, I fell apart. I had three or four really ugly races in a row, and destroyed my SR along the way. had a couple decent runs to end it but nothing to be proud of. this morning was nice. I got up early and decided to see if I could get a few real runs in to regain some of that precious SR. had three good runs alone in second, @Sven Jurgens was there as he was in a few of my ugly runs yesterday also. I believe I also saw @morfastmadboy in my first few races, before I started sucking lol. anyway after the previously mentioned races alone in second, pole sitter has a top ten time, and the next qualifier was almost ten seconds slower. I decided to squeeze in one last race and was treated to the one I mentioned at the start of this post. a great way to end my racing for the week. I might try to get the second or two I left on the track for qualifying, but that will just be for bragging rights over a couple friends. lol

So 3 races at the Ring in mixed lobbies from A/S to E/B...

My time of 8:09 was good enough for 2 poles and second. Got 2 wins, a second, 2 fastest laps (obvs) and 2 CRB.

Went from 43 to 59 SR...this will take all day, as long as I can avoid contact at all costs!

@Dairyworker dude that race was great!! I made that slight bobble in the last complex and you took full advantage! Good stuff!

Lol just did a race A, start in P2, got to p1 on first turn then slowly lose positions over the lap, I'm thinking why is my car so slow, fell to p6 and realised my sock was catching the brake pedel slightly so did 2 laps with brakes slightly on hahaha :)

Is gardens ii the beat group 4 track since Seaside like a year ago? So many car options.

Took the McLaren for a harder spin, got into the 38s, just, with a 38.9, my previous was a 39 flat with the jag.

Then thought the m4 was a due a shot at a proper qualy lap given it's my race car, turned a 38.7.

I dont have mich more in me, even a perfect lap may be only a couple tenths faster. Within top 750 of Amea so ill take that.

Looks like group 3 at ngp next week.

Having a pootle around the Nordschliefe this week, haven't raced much for a while so I set a slow QT, generally starting from the rear of the grid and doing my best to maintain SR and stay clear of those without a QT, who then go on to crash or take out other players. I think PD should space out no QT's from those who have set a qualifying lap, maybe 150 + meters behind last QT. Now there's a challenge for the hot shots, ha.

This is what people seem to not understand, mostly in lower SR ranks. Racing involves more people and just like in real life, crashing almost always results in a ruined race. If a person in front you looses control and there's simply no room to safely overtake, then slow down. Both will loose two or three tenths, race will continue and an incident will be forgotten in about half a lap.

It's also interesting in race C, where people aggresively try to overtake in dodgy places, risking a crash. You have 12 laps, if you're faster, you'll get through, patience yo ;)

Honestly this, just, this. If you're faster, patience awards you; stay close and stay sharp and follow the driver in front. If they're fast under pressure, you both benefit from not fighting because you can pull away from the pack. If they crack and start making mistakes, you can coax them into a mistake at the right time and then overtake in a hard braking zone or in the straights.

I honestly wish PD used Gardens more in the Dailies. Not just because it's, in my opinion, my best track (sad I know ), but because it's just such a good exercise in patience and overtaking etiquette

Edit: just to add something more, if Laguna Seca is indeed an MR-festa, you'll be seeing at least one wild Citroen courtesy of myself. I love that car. Recently got to finally take it for a spin in @Pigems daily races with friends lobby and it's still a pleasure to drive. That's how a fantasy Gr.4 car should be done, PD!

...none of this RCZ 🤬.

Gave SpacedustDaddy a long rest. Jumped in my very first account from when I raced online in GT6!

E/S to B/S in seven races. Won all but one C/S and one B/S race.
in the B/S, Started 3rd. Finished 2nd after the 2nd place Citroen snapped right coming out the final turn. It veered straight into pitlane on Lap 3. It wasn't funny, but it was. Poor guy/gal quit.

All races in the Mustang. Comparing it to the RC F(which not one person used in all my races this week), RC F has better tyre life over the race distance. It gets quicker through the middle to last 3/4 of the race. Mustang tyres fall off a cliff on that last lap.

In the mUstang, after a couple laps, players behind were fighting allowing me to build big enough gaps to pit.
I didn't pit in the B/S race. A Lancer was skipping away because the Citroen was holding me up. When I was released, I brought the time down from 4 seconds to 2 seconds. By that time, it was hard work. The Lancer made a few mistakes which helped me set to within 1.3 seconds for a few laps. Lap 11/12, I was on the cords. Lancer able to pull to 2.2 seconds from the final turn.

One of the C/S races, I started 4th. I caught the lead GT-R and we swapped places all race. I player in a WRX that started last, caught up toward the end.
Now, it caught up because during my battle, the GT-R bumped be by accident and got a 3seond penalty. When it serves at the back PZ, I pulled behind and stopped with it.

The WRX and an Atenza(I dispatched earlier) are coming. Since the Mustang tyres are worn, I've got no fight left. I'm leading into the Four Brothers, I have no grip, I'm tiptoeing and also giving room for the cars behind. Atenza goes through okay. WRX bumps me right. In on the red edge. As I'm trying not to hit the wall, the GT-R goes a bit wide and we make contact. All three of them drive off into the stance. I serve 3 seconds.

Post race, I type to the winning WRX that divebombed the Atenza at the final chicane, "Was the win that serious?". No response. Thanked the Atenza and GT-R for clean races.

GT-R asks why did I stop? It was just contact.
I replied, I race fair. All good. And I leave. I get a friend request from the player when I'm shutting the game off.

The Supra goes good at Brands Hatch, Sardegna and Red Bull Ring(when not being bullied by the RC Z). It struggles at the uphills of Maggiore, but in the corners it's great. It also went okay at Monza. Supra is good at high speeds.

It's just the tyre wear and fuel stink. The handling is it's weapon, but it has no grunt. BOP got bumped up to 380 and it recently lost some weight. Now, it needs to at least BOP to its stock BHP.

Hope they do the survey again at the end of the year. I'd love to get my hands on it, I missed it... living under a rock isn't advantageous, I guess .

It's so frustrating when you try to be fair to someone they just completely **** you over afterwards.

I was called "trash" by someone in the post-race the other day when we didn't even have any incidents. I asked what happened and they said I shunted them in Lap 1. I watched the replay and a couple other cars hit them, but I never even came close to making contact. How can you get so heated about something that you accuse the wrong person? Imagine if they had retaliated for something I didn't even do...

The battle back to 99 SR is complete after almost being reset to 42 SR during last night's FIA races! It took 12 daily race B at the Green Hell driving the Widow Maker, and what a fun time it was!

12 races, 12 blue SR, 4 wins, 4 second places, 1 each third, 4th, 5th and 6th. 5 CRB, 4 poles and 4 fast laps along the way. The competition became harder as my SR climbed and my starting time of 8:09 put me back as far as 6th on the grid as the day wore on.

The 4 wins all came earlier in the day and were only worth 6 SR up each, so I had to keep going back for more, tempting fate each time.

Ran behind @Sven Jurgens the last few runs, but of course pitched it off the track driving over my head to try and challenge him! :dopey:

Sucks to have lost my 400 day streak of SR S though.

Had a lot of fun around the Nordschliefe this week.
Came across a lot of good, fair racers. Best result was 3rd.
Only had to deploy " w anchor" insult twice in post race chat, don't think it works on non English speakers
Dissapointed I didn't end the week with a higher SR, probably more down to the current system than people's ability though.
Happy racing 👍

Kind of regret that I didn't try the Race B at Nordschleife before today. It's really fun, and my experience in 5 or so races was really pretty clean today. Even was able to nudge my DR up a bit when driving it. First one was AFAIK my first race with @Sven Jurgens who of course cruised to a win, but it was a lot of others that I didn't know in the rest of the grids.

That 930 911 Turbo is a really fun car to drive, and if you drive it like a real car and not a video game, it's surprisingly forgiving. (If you get in trouble and jump on the brakes, it pretty much settles down and avoids further drama. If you think you can drive out of every mistake by standing on the gas, it's game over.) And the way the transmission is geared so that the 3rd-4th gear shift coincides exactly with the hill crest between Flugpatz and Schwedenzreuz (not a coincidence, I reckon!)... it's fantastic!

Not a bad way to rehabilitate your SR! And I see you came out ahead on your DR... as has been the case when I've had to clean up my SR... it often means some wins and an DR bump.

Agreed, it was really fun, and in the top 6 or even 8 on the grid, pretty fair driving, save for some of the Senna-wanna-be's that over-drive it into every corner or cover your bumper, only to bin it and hold you up on the turn after you let them by. But the Green Hell doesn't allow for much worse, if you have reasonable pace, you can leave most of the noise behind you. (Also means you can't have legitimate hopes for moving up much, if matched with 3 or 4 drivers with much faster qualifying times. But that's how it should be. I would like to see this race again... wish I gave it a try earlier!

I wasn't going to enter any races this week to protect DR ahead of the FIA SSRX race but the Porsche is really good fun to drive, perfect match for the track, it lured me in:

We're overdue a GT3 race C on the N24 layout, I'll be waiting...
I'm more than a little interested to see if you can keep that 52 clean race streak going. Update me please.:bowdown:

So after a very up and down week on Race A I have logged it in with 28 races, 11 poles and 11 wins on the main. Also 1 DR reset. :ouch:Although I had 5 wins before that.

Also a whopping 8 races, 1 pole and 3 wins on the NA account.

Not sure why it seemed to suit me but was mostly fun. With the new standard of driving there it is going to get really frustrating trying to race close as I had someone who has learned the penalty system well. They pushed people off and pushed me wide multiple times but getting clean blue S at the end.

Might bail on paying attention to SR for a while since I was getting pinged for a guy using the brake check to give me SR downs. Looking forward to finding out race A and lapping through carnage on Race C next week to see how it goes.
