Screeeewwwww that! Thank goodness for alt accounts. Holy mackerel! Go for your life. It is a bumpercar fest. Not even punts, not even dirty driving, but players trying to go side-o-by-side-o... EVERYWHERE!!!!

Guess some didn't get the memo that these are not tin tops.

Daily Race C summarized:

Went into the first Race C after the turnover with SR 96.
Came out with 70, one race later it was 63.
The amount of people that tries to go double wide in T2, or follow half a meter behind into Casio not realizing there is no brake lights......
Not going back to that. B it is.
And by the way, a CRB in B is worth 6 points

This is exactly why I made the call last week when the new races were revealed on kudosprime that I'd not even bother with Race C. Super Formulas in daily races are a nightmare unless you're in a rare lobby where everyone is courteous and well behaved!

It was horrible. To add to the injury there where people braking hard at the GR 3 brake markers and others running off in every turn then rejoining into trafic....

This is definitely a problem with the first few races in the week when you change classes and track styles so dramatically. Gr3 at Bathurst versus Super Formula at Suzuka is like night and day. Hopefully towards the end of the week it might clean up a bit with people having better experience with the cars at the track. I might run a few time trials and test runs before finding the courage to take on a race!

Three race sin my alt, Clean. First race in my main. A/S to A/A with 3 seconds of penalties on the last half of the last lap. 2 seconds added at the final corner!

An R8 that has the MR slide can't control the car all race. A Supra I battled with gets the shakes and was out of control THEN, wants to granny brake at all the corners to impede me, allowing cars behind to catch us in the last lap. This makes that Supra keep multiple tapping the brakes into the final corner. Noone is studying that! Move out the damn way!:banghead:

I’m seeing the descriptions of Suzuka, but I’m also sitting on a pretty good qualy time after only 6 laps. How bad can it be?

I’m going in to find out.
Just jumped into my first race, the first lap or two are absolutely bananas but if you stay consistent there's big positions to be gained.

Race C this week is: Don't crash, gain DR.

First race C for the week. Entire field blue S except for last place. No mayhem at all.

The biggest enemy in that race was dirty air*. It is very difficult to maintain pace at Suzuka in dirty air. I think this will be a case of getting as high as you can in qualifying and trying to avoid binning it.

*-Except for Spoon, which is my nemesis.

First race C and it was....interesting. No one car drive the track and I tried sticking to the back and just learning it. That's no good as you catch up and they slow you down, if you pas them they suddenly can drive at your pace. I need to hot lap it for a bit till I get better then I'll try again, made SR though so that's a good thing.
So tried A as it was starting, bad move as I really hate RBR came last made a little SR and apart from getting a K speed time (maybe) I won't be doing that again.
So on to B got some time to Q but not great so off we go Q11 finished 12th I suck at this. Lost 1 SR.
So it's skip, practice, practice this week. Maybe by Friday I'll be good enough to race.

OH and why Honda for race C? I spent 5 mins trying to work out why I couldn't enter :banghead:

To me, after going full revenge twice lately...
The SR reset is a huge punishment.
It took absolutely ridiculously horrid intentional behavior on my part to get it though. It’s be impossible for a sane in control driver to get that unintentionally.
PD penalty system programmers: "Is that a challenge?"

I asked that before I bought the Toyota for Bathurst and people said no difference. So this time I had to buy a car for really no reason.
Aside from having different motors and engine noise I've heard speculation from kie on a stream from a while back that there is subtle differences in power delivery between them but I can't really tell personally. For all intents and purposes they are practically identical imo.

I started this week with the intent of improving from merely bad at this track to mediocre at this track. I felt like I was well on my way to that goal this week, then something weird happened. The track became fun.

By that point I had already improved my QT from 2:06.x at the start of the week to something like 2:04.4xx by Thu. I wasn't able to race Fri due to work stuff but started in again over the weekend and the time started to come down little by little. My K speed goal for this race is 2:02.2xx and I thought I wouldn't get anywhere near it. By the time I was done this afternoon my QT is now 2:02.9.xx. I was ecstatic when I got into the 2:03's, I never thought I'd actually break into the 2:02's.

I guess my point, aside from bragging, is to be diligent and put in the work. The improvement will come and it's gratifying when it does.

Grats.
I noticed just a general improvement from just playing the game more. Last time GR3 was at Bathurst my Q time was 2:05-6's.
This time I set a 2:03.0
Certainly a track I enjoy and I'm glad to see I improved in a big way. Hopefully the trend continues for both of us.
