Good morning friends,

After all the discussion lately on alt accounts and going through the reset process recently I’ve come up with my plan for alt going forward...
The plan is AVOID excessive dr gains on alt. The reasoning for this is twofold...One, avoid getting too attached to the alt since it’s just for daily races, and two it’s to your benefit under this penalty system.
In other words if it’s going to be my alt vs your alt and I’m high B and you are A all penalties probably will be on you...hehehe Machiavellian isn’t it?
I’m almost done restoring my sr to 99, I just need a few dollars, er, SR more...
Enjoy!

Yeah, it’s pretty dumb how the higher rated driver almost always gets the penalty, and the lower rated driver gets off Scott free most times. The penalty system is just downright terrible.

I woke up this morning with an SR rating of 11. :guilty:
I just did a C race to boost my rating up. What a joke.
There were 15 of us, ranging from B to E. At the end, only 6 of us remained. Everyone else quit.
I made it from last to 2nd, without ever trying to pass anybody.
The winner was 41 seconds ahead of me.
For that one race, my SR went from 11 to 66 (D to A).

It’s awful! After my play through yesterday from d back to almost A I feel bad the most towards B drivers. Low mid B if you are 99 the system dings you you get into the perpetual dirty b crowd. That’s just chaos down there.
Plus if you think about it which driver is more likely to make an at fault mistake?
Is it an A plus 99 or is it an A who only just got into a 99 lobby first time.
The system is really bad. It’s too volatile also. I’ve gone from A plus to D E back to A S in a day... lmao

Hahaha maybe PD saw your video from yesterday :).

Edit so I just tried to chase @NSP525 but his Beetle mojo defeated my vette mojo. Nice race man!
Next race I started second behind one of my South American buddies.
We had a great race until final lap he dove late at the bottom of the hill esses...I saw it coming and planned my exit which I got perfectly ending up nose to nose on his left going up the hill towards the hairpin...At the right turn he runs me off towards the inside wall.
(GTR driver go figure)
So I just kept my foot in it and kamikaze’d him off.
His ego just couldn’t handle being passed, then in chat he calls me dirty LMAO I spent half the race respectfully behind not touching you you mental midget!
I don’t think many players understand that anyone can be taken out pretty much anytime if we want things to get stupid. I’m glad I took him out, he rammed me off and got me penalty, at least I took him from first back to fifth.
Of course I’m Satan so I got four seconds...
I shared the race search tag TPC it was a pretty fun one until he rammed me off...

EDIT DIRT DIRT DIRT DIRT DIRT DIRT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What is it about the GTR, as soon as I see one my butt clenches.

Will be Monza next week for me, I like Race C there as you can really yield and avoid drama as you have a lot of time to pass guys. Strategy also surprisingly important, I gained a lot in the past by just out thinking guys in Group 3 Race C at this track. May be Mustang time now the Vantage has been neutered.

I am going to have to set up an alt account to try race A next week. Dirt race will be fun but with the GT Sport penalty system that has DR reset written all over it.

Monza in race C will be an interesting as I like the track and I like GR.3 cars but the chicanes are a death trap so it's always a bit of a lottery. Still I will be giving that a good go for sure.

Not too fussed about B but I may give it a try or two.

For the ones not having an alt account I would say is a must if you are thinking doing Race A next week. Doesn't make any sense to me if they decide to disable penalties, that would not a be a race but more a ram fest.

Had some good races in daily b today. Ran with @KiepeYai quite a few times and had some close races. Have a replay of me in the VGT against him and another where were both in the beetle. Had a close moment in the second video where I thought I'd ran him off on the long left hander, I barely left him enough room to straddle the curb on exit.

After a mix-up in top split and getting bumped down into the lower SR S lobbies I found @Groundfish for a race. Fended off a Brazilian on the first lap and then broke the slipstream to @Groundfish thankfully or he may have been able to keep up with the beetle.

I can't wait, but unless penalties are turned off

I can imagine the penalties.

I am assuming that the sensitivity for side contact penalties will be turned down. They've done it in other races.
Penalties for rear-ending another car should stay normal.

If they don't turn down the side contact penalties, I guess I'll spend the week racing at D/E. I don't care.

Once again with the fuel usage so low it might as well be turned off. 10x tire wear is interesting though, possible 2 stopper?

EVo IV and WRX TypeR? Maybe? Would be cool to see many more AWD choices: TT, A45, Skylines.

I'm going to enjoy Monza. Going to be interesting with the hard tyre. Wouldn't be surprised to see something like the Puegeot VGT rise up from the dead.

SOmeone in the FIA thread, pointed out we always get Fuji. Well, there we go. Doesn't mattter where we are, there it is. No tyre wear. So, still might not be able to gauge the FF overall performance. Should still be fun trying many cars over the week. Might jump in the 458, but it'll probably be the F-Type Show.

We had good fun, glad you joined the wasp power ,it’s a little bit underpowered especially uphill but can hang on slip pretty well, i love FT1 too but it’s easy to bin it on those chicanes , and there was space for me to dig two wheels on grass there, i definitely got greedy on power there ,

That was my first time trying the FT1 and it's not bad around Yama but I'm not familiar enough with it. Beetle is my go to this week for the race, you can get on power earlier with it out of t1 and the long left hander after the esses I find. Also stable through the chicanes, lots of grip and stability as well as strong on brakes. I don't think we touched eachother once today in all of our races believe it or not, see you out there again!

SR downs being more deadly on SR than full fledged penalties are the worst of the worst

Woohoo! I think I've managed to tame the M6! Three races today, all three clean races and places gained! Started Q9-Q13, finished P5-P8. Much better results than the first couple of attempts, and actually some really good racing. Had one where I had a Supra right on my tail for the whole of the last lap, I'm in 6th. He got me on the first chicane so I let him through. Then he messed up the final chicane, I got alongside him and held on to take the position back, 6th across the line. Niiiice. Definitely enjoying the race now and driving the M6!

Car of choice for Monza? Ooh, that will be an interesting one... Car of choice for Fuji? Again, that will be an interesting one... any suggestions??
