I (shockingly) had a very clean race at Suzuka earlier today, the first clean race I've had in a couple months, although I have been struggling to maintain SR, the system is particularly touchy these days.

I like the car/track combination, but I'm not at all a fan of the tyre strategy. I think the racing soft compound is far too easy to drive on all around, and it takes all of the difficulty out of the SF19. But the pit lane time is so short that the preferred strategy seems to be a single lap on mediums and two full stints on softs. I can't fault anyone for using the strategy, but it kind of negates the point of mandating two compounds... The racing isn't bad necessarily, but also not very interesting.

I ran race C 3 times last night. I’ve kept it on track and out of trouble this week, but not in these races. This story epitomizes the night.

We are having some unusually cold weather in south Texas right now and my little hairless dog has opinions about going outside for his business. I took him out twice before racing, but they were short trips. 3rd lap of the 3rd race and I’m going around Spoon in 5th place when out of the corner of my eye this dog squares up to take a dump on my floor. I react to stop him, but it’s too late. My braking point is long past when my eyes return to the screen and I’m sailing through the sand.

Pretty much my night; minding my own business when someone lays a turd on the track and I’m left with the mess.

Apparently you can hit the "options" button and the car will go into auto-pilot for a while. Heard someone say it once but I though it was just a joke. No, it is real.

You can just put the replays on the server. Go to your library (in game) select the one you want and select share, give it some tags and Bobs your uncle, even I can do it.

I cleaned my main in C, there were bad races, but if your willing to sacrifice a position or 2 a clean race with a decent finish is possible. Also the great advantage to being slow is I can do 7 laps easily on the softs, those fast people have no chance of doing that.

I have shared the replay if anyone is interested. It’s tagged TPC, dirty and formula-pun.

I’m back to SR 99 but the DR damage is going to take a while. Hoping to be back to A by FIA.

Race A: N300 (probably Yaris) @ Colorado Springs  | 4 laps | guess what tyres
Race B: Gr.4 @ Fuji | 4 laps | RM
Race C: Gr.3 @ Monza | 10 laps | RM/RH | Tyres x10 | Fuel x2

A dirt race in the dailies!!! FINALLY :D
Hell yeah 👍

I never thought I would see the day.

I can't wait, but unless penalties are turned off . It will be alternate account racing for sure .Not a big fan of the Yaris if that's the car ,but I'll drive anything in the dirt .

I just grabbed my alt account uniform & am ready for DR reset destruction.

Once again with the fuel usage so low it might as well be turned off. 10x tire wear is interesting though, possible 2 stopper?

That tire wear will have to be brutal in order for me to think of doing a 2 stop race. But then I think about the track, the car weight, & the tire wear & think 2 stops might be cheap insurance.

Sure love getting pushed out of the way at the first corner as soon as the race starts.

However, later on, the other American gets a 1 second penalty and the Argentinian gets 1.5 seconds for hitting the pit entry. Ouch. But that was enough for me to regain third and finish there.

For me next week will be boring, Fuji will be Scirocco Cup, Monza Aston, maybe GTR... Guess I check dirt race on my alt just for fun, booooring... But after great week there must be some balance in nature:)
Monza has been great for the Aston previously, but based on the BoP changes and Bathurst, I think the changes will neuter it. The DBR9 will be an option, as will the Vette. There is also a very big MR sleeper, but I’m not letting on until I’ve won a few races

Would you private message me the MR sleeper? I wouldn't share it.

It's not like I would be competing with you fast guys anyway.

I'm a D driver and fear I always will be:nervous:

I can guess what that is...

I'm kinda looking forward to Monza and Fuji, just getting more races in.

Settled down for a couple SF hotlaps before any racing today, dropped my quali lap by a second down to a 1.38.9 (inside my Kudos target too, oi oi).

Still got the climb back up from my reset the other day, but this lap should help out with D/C.

Edit: getting placed into lobbies with a mix from B-D, I'll be outta here soon!

Not checked your replays, but know the guy. He's fast (for his level) but doesn't play at all. He's just trolling people. There's actually no point fighting with him as this is what he wants.

Yes, that’s exactly the point. People who are only interested in trolling should be banned. It can’t be that hard to have a functional mechanism for identifying and banning idiots like this.

i like people defending for their lives on race B , i mean you stick your nose on the inside but nope they will keep squeezing you leaving with nowhere to go and thats on A/S rooms -_-

Well that race wasn't the finest for any of us, you were a little dirty yourself at points. I'm Dingo-Donger btw and after having had a few scrapes with others you ran straight out in front of me when exiting the pits, you then ran me off the road. Not getting at you from your perspective I was in the wrong I bet and after battling with an idiot it's easy to think everyone is. I always try and keep the inside when exiting the pits and people are coming down the straight then if they get by it's a good move and if they hit me it's their fault.
Well done in the last race.

A famous quote I read once said, “Everything you seek is on the other side of fear”. I was able to reach B DR before I switched to using a wheel. So anyone can get faster & do it on a controller. We preach practice, practice, practice.

Cant wait to figure out how I’m going to drive like this with 11 cars around me.

Should have been playing Wreckfest. It’s a good prep series for next week.

Yeah, I got a bit loose in that race after the red mist descended, but I was mostly clumsy through anger. The pit one was a genuine accident. I drive using roof cam and when I looked back coming out I didn’t see you at all. My bad.

I don’t recall pushing you off in that race, but it was definitely not on purpose. I ran up the back of a few as well because I seem to brake later than most in a few spots (or not at all into degner) so if I’m fuming I end up on auto-pilot a bit.

I try very hard to race clean, so hopefully you’ll find I’m not causing you problems very often.

No didn't think it was on purpose and it was at Degner where I know you don't have to brake, but I can't convince myself that it's right so that explains that one. You can usually tell when someone is dirty or if it's just a mistake/they just aren't good enough for the split. Unfortunately not being good enough for those around you can be a huge problem, I know I come across it a lot and I try my best not to muck up better drivers games, but I sometimes fail. These SF cars make these issues greater as well, because a slight mistake makes such a huge difference to speed. I probably shouldn't be racing them, but then how would I get better? Thing is I see B drivers and even the odd A that can't cope with these as well. This is why I start from the back and just try my best to keep it clen, if I get a good result fine, but keeping it clean is really my goal.
