The thing about the dailies is that everyone has different goals:
Some people are trying to win at any cost to get _______ (joy, platinum trophy, DR increase, etc)
Some people are trying to drive clean but are not overly stressed about it.
Some people are trying to drive clean at any cost, maybe even trying to get a string of consecutive clean races.
Some people are trying to get views on their social media platform (race from the back, race aggressive, etc.).
Some people are trying to improve specific skills or practice specific race conditions.
Some people are trying to race clean but are actively trying to "police" other drivers and will revenge hit in a heartbeat.
Some people are trying to enjoy racing simulation.
Some people are trying to enjoy an arcade game.
Some people are trying to grief other drivers and/or troll everyone.

And everyone has different track or car familiarity.
And everyone has different controller setups.
And everyone has different internet connection quality.
And everyone has different skill levels, obviously.
And everyone has different temperaments and maturity.

Combine all of that into one big "dailies" pot and there are going to be conflicts. The great thing about the custom lobbies is that you can eliminate some of these variables.

I try to have an open mind about how everyone enjoys their GT Sport
Frustrating to get punted off, sure, but in the big picture, meh, doesn't matter

Chuffed to find a cool league to race clean with 👍

Today has been a roller coaster. I did my first ever retaliation today. Absolutely bodyslammed him into the announcers' table but he stayed in front of me. That race was a wash and I ended up in last. Two races later, I went from pole to pole for my third ever victory. The real victory is that I didn't rage quit the first race, though. I think I rage quit at least once every session.

The middle race was frustrating. A guy came out of nowhere to second place. I was in third and he was all over the place and just would not let me or anyone else by. Of course, he was on wasted tires. I strongly believe I or the Brazilian behind me could have given a good challenge for the lead but this guy held us up, only to fall to dead last with the one minute tire penalty.

I'm hoping Race C next week will be this:

That car is fun to drive. Not much to look at but fun to drive! And a good race car.

I am done for the week, in the end race c was good to me, racing high b and low a drivers and qualifying an avg of 11th, still managed to climb into the DRA range. Usually I sneak up on the back of a lower SR, so beat up on slower guys, but not this time.

I gain 3, 4, 5 places by pitting on lap 4 whilst other medium starters pit lap 5 or even 6. Race after race, same thing. I am then defending like mad but usually hold my place, if you hold the inside it is difficult to pass at sardegna.

Its weird but it seems like everyone has accepted the new state of play, a bit of bash and barge and no angry post race comments. Not a huge fan of it myself but it seems like folks have accepted it.

Totally forgot about the S-FR. Was a favorite when the real car debuted. Since then, PD&players have ruined it, being the META for the longest time. Should have made it Gr.4.

I've been fortunate that I've been starting top 4 in most races. If I tip over into the next split and start 6th or below, then I would have a problem. I have qualified slightly above my rank with this one with a 38.9 though - that is +2.6%, whereas my others have been +3.x%.
It seems I spoke too soon - in 4 races last night I started 3,4,6,6. Two of the races had a guy with a Q time a second quicker than me and .5 quicker than anyone in the lobby, so he ran away to two wins. He disappeared and I managed a win from 6th though, which was unexpected. Picked through the mess at turn one to make it out P4, took P3 a couple of laps later at the hairpin and second thanks to some dubious driving in front of me. That left one lap to close a 1 second gap and pass for the win - quite a long shot. Took care of the one second in the two big breaking zones and was right on the leader's tail on the way to the second sector split. He went aggressive on the defense into the double right, so I took a more regular line with a slightly later apex and got alongside before turn in for the second right, which didn't go down well and I got a front bumper to my left side door. Fortunately momentum was on my side and I got completely clear before the apex of the left kink and a win.
Watched the same guy drive someone of track after the hairpin in the next race, so the bump I got seems to be right on brand for him.

Wow, that Race B. If you're not in an RCZ, watch out. Used the Mustang and got T-boned punted off, after the PZ.

Used the Megane FF next and RCZ users couldn't believe I was keeping up and faster in the corners. Forever trying to get the front corner in my rear bumper corner either side to upset my corner entry. Wasn't working. I was trailbraking deeper.

One RZ user with the word "BRAKE!" on the back, kept hugging the inside of every turn, to upset the cars ahead of it in the braking zone. Players that it passed, had enough. They did the same to it(even I chimed in) and another RCZ punted it off. Dude DNFd.

Complete joke.

I agree, it's a fun car to drive. The main reason I like it is because its "face" is hilarious though (and a perfect fit for a Kirby livery).

Honestly, if they made a Gr.4 version of this, I might be tempted to sign with Toyota in FIA on occasion in the exhibition seasons instead of always going with Chevy. That's assuming they'd even let you pick it for the Manufacturer's championship.

Love the SFR. But it never got beyond an idea. It wasn't even decided whether it was going to be FR or FF.

Instead they went ahead and made a 4WD Yaris GR. [microphone drop].

:)

Race A is a good combo, a bit rough on T1-2-3 of the first lap, after that it's good fun. Unfortunately I'm not fast enough to be in the good battle I see happening at the front. @sturk0167 put on a good show starting from the back and up front in no time. At one point I was like "how can he be in the top3 after 3 turns". Seeing your karma video, I think maybe it's better I don't know.;)

In one race, someone is really slow on the exit of the big banked hairpin and I'm trying to not hit him, my car start to slide and I lightly touch him slowing him down a bit more. I go to the opposite side of the track and start slowing down to give him the spot, he get right behind me and start pushing me, took him all the uphill straight to realise I was giving him the place back.

Race C. Starting from the last 5 position everytime in my low DR.A rank. GR.3 is the one category I'm struggling with. I'm using the Vantage in Cockpit Vue. The A pillar is so 🤬 big I have a hard time on the two 90 degree left turn with the concrete at the apex. Can't see them coming! Anyway I manage to gain places and finish around 10th with a pit stop on lap 4 to go on soft.

Next week's races:

A: Tsukuba - N100 - SH tires
B: Lago Maggiore GP - Gr.3 - RM tires
C: Kyoto Yamagiwa - N400 One-Make - SS tires (SM mandatory)

Race C for me next week. Used to love Tsukuba but now sick of it.

I wish there was some rain in PD forecast. It's been a long time.

After a rough morning, managed to learn to avoid enough trouble that I could earn DR each Race A... after losing A rating earlier in the day (hadn't paid particular attention to it recently, was just jumping in races for fun the last while), was able to restore it after a number of races in the Clio V6. Some of them were actually really fun! Some real clean guys up front, so long as you could avoid the carnage from 4th on back at the start most races. Saw @BenRod out there (of course) and enjoyed a couple of super competitive races with a few other guys who had settled in to repeat runs. Didn't manage a win but was nice to grab a few podiums and end the day with the A rating again. (and an 8-race CRB streak, all of them at Race A today... longest I've been able to maintain in a while... even got one with a track limits penalty once... not sure that was supposed to happen, but I'll take it. Maybe I can get that 15 CRB streak medal after all?!)

I've been wondering what the criteria is for a clean race myself. I made solid contact with a guy at turn one (ran into the back of him), but got no penalty and a CRB. Helps that my contact propelled him to the apex of T2 in the lead I guess.
I've also had track limit penalties and kept the clean race. Also finished races with no penalties of any kind and not been given the bonus. The only thing I feel certain of is that a contact penalty is bad.

Yeah, same... I've had races that were 'clean' but included an off-track excursion hurting only myself, and not gotten the CRB (ironic when sometimes was trying to avoid contact, causing that scenario) ... I hadn't noticed one that I got a track limits penalty before, but still got the CRB. Oh well, I'll take it!

You should return it. Oh, Slytherin huh. Never mind. ;)

Good race this morning. 👍
I couldn't remember your GTP ID... saw you out there, was fun racing with you. Was just trying to avoid the pinballers ahead! Last few races were pretty good competitive ones, save for a guy or two causing some trouble. When you've got three or four good, clean guys up front, those races are good fun. One mistake and you're going to lose a spot... just like it should be.

(Alt is my son's PSN ID... he doesn't race, so I commandeered it for GT Sport!)

I believe that a CRB means no SR down arrows during the race. If you hit someone hard and got a CRB then perhaps lag saved you.
I'm not sure it is that simple. Ive had days of 2-3 races without a CRB, but my SR stays at 99.

On a separate note, does anybody else here generally run in the Asian zone at around lunch eastern Australian time? There are several names I'm seeing in races repeatedly, but don't know if anyone is on here.

In the current penalty system that can happen. If you get 1 SR down and loose a few manner points. If the rest of the race is clean then you'll earn enough to offset it. I've had a few taps this week but still had +12 SR at the end of the race.
