Captain_Grump, or DelRacingGrumpy?
Captain is normally nice, but the whole DelRacing family gets knocked off the track when I see them.
I gave them tons of 2nd chances. No more.
I'm at 87. One more clean race, and I'll be there with you. 👍The second, and other random idiots.
You know the last uphill left before you come around the weird downhill esses to the start finish straight?
This one guy had my inside and rammed myself and himself into the outside wall. He was outta control dirty.
No pen given.
I’m still racing but these last two I’ve had bad luck.
The penalties aren’t triggered. I’m not fast enough in this Fugu mess to really inflict maximum damage lmao

Couldn't pull it off. Some cock jockey shoved me into another car, and I got an SR down.I'm at 87. One more clean race, and I'll be there with you. 👍

@Groundfish, you do realize I was in that race with you, twice today, right?
I've got one wired up, when you hit enter to exit the typing of the chat you can press the right arrow on the keyboard and it will go to the send button on screen. Then you can hit enter.Random USB keyboard question.
For pre and post race chat I have configured a USB keyboard. I have not configured a mouse. It works until it is time to "SEND". I need to reach back for my controller and use the R2 trigger. Very awkward.
Is there a keyboard mapping for R2? Or, how do you "SEND" with the keyboard?
Not the only one Enjoy watching racing there IRL but to virtually drive it isn't great. The bus stop and la source are trash corners that ruin the flow of the lap IMHO.I’m probably the only sim racer in the world who is unimpressed by Spa.

A quick way to test it is to just start a lobby and type to yourself once or twice.
I only stumbled on it when I leaned on my keyboard while reaching to grab my controller.Excellent... I don't think I would have thought of that.
I dipped my toe into the daily race at Spa for the first time and it's just no fun anymore. I love Gr.1 as Spa and last time had a great run with a win and goodclean racing and I know every line but when you get a run on someone or they have a penalty they just do anything to stop you passing, one guy ran wide and I was straight past and he spent the next lap trying to run me off the track. I set my fast lap just as the matching started so only had the slower time which put me in the pack but don't think it would have made any difference. I will go again tomorrow but if this is what GTS is serving up now I may be done, FIA race was not much better yesterday, people know what they can get away with now and even people who may have always been clean are now dishing it out as not much choice from what I can see.
Yup. Spa sucks. It's massively overrated.I’m probably the only sim racer in the world who is unimpressed by Spa.

Many of the PD original tracks are better.
Then there's me who almost couldn't stop hotlapping Spa just now I do think it's a lot better in high downforce cars though, not that it's bad in Gr.3 etc.
It's probably one of those tracks better experienced in real life with all the elevation change

If you could tell me the difference between weak and default, that would be great. I almost asked the queation here the other day.
With default some of the tires grip will always be allocated for turning. I find with weak on certain cars it reduces understeer on corner entry, with the negative being it’s more sensitive than default, and a lot more difficult to get right.
I have a 29.1 in the Aston after one session, but I think a mid 28 is easily possible for me. I’m using BB0.
The keys are; turn 1 is critical. You can make or lose 3 tenths through there alone. Get wide left, stay in 3rd and hit the apex.
Don’t grab 1st anywhere. Hold second through the hairpin, but use the inside curb to help with rotation.
Last 2 turns are also important. You want to be in the throttle before you apex the last turn. If you get it right the car will rotate under acceleration and you’ll avoid the dreaded track limit penalty.
There are movies based on a true story and ones that are fiction. The fiction ones are normally better but the true story ones *REALLY* happened.
And so it is with Spa. It is real. I have watched the F1 grand prix for the last 20 years-ish. The drivers praise it. Spa represents royalty. It is relatable. And PD has done a great job with their fictional circuits - kudos.
My favorite combo is the Pouhon (Double Gauche) plus Les Fagnes section.
The classic is Eau Rouge but the game, nor TV, does it justice. The incline is 17% and it rises 41m. They are driving the cars though a river bed.
I wouldn't mind the last sector if it wasn't for that chicane, especially as it used to be a double fast right handerI’m kinda that way with Catalunya.
I love that final sector everyone hates lol
There’s big oppurtunities in that sector.
Race A...My review...It’s no Goodwood, definitely...Basically there’s been a litany of racers there, who, despite the fact they qualified slow, believe they suddenly gained the ability to outbrake everyone into any turn by entering the race...
It’s a good combination...
Your experience is dependent on those around you.
The pen system allows for some racing still...
I will rate A race a solid 6.6 out of ten.
Edit Spa shma. Gran Turismos rendition is really good, but I’d rather race almost anywhere else.
A spa is for happy endings, not racing digital cars!
I'd say DTM had the best angle to represent the incline
No I don't think soFantastic angle! I can’t remember seeing any shots from there before actually. They haven’t used it during F1 broadcasts, have they?
