I just don't qualify. I have to admit, though, that I often screw up and accidently set a time before a race. I don't mind as much if it's late in the week, or a combo I don't like much, but I hate if I do it on a good combo. It's great for racecraft, especially if you try to stay clean and take your time. I remember watching a replay of one of @Sven Jurgens races from the back, and it amazed me that he could be off the gas and coasting so often, yet still make passes with ease. Been doing it ever since. I think I'm up to 54 wins on my alt, and I never purposely qualify unless I already blew it and set a time.Question:
Like you I have seen other make the statement after "... and then I made a no QT run". By that I understand you have removed your QT time so that you can run from the back. How do you delete the QT time? Or, are you using an alt where no QT has been set.
I have started doing some of those no QT runs on an alt to experiment and get the feel for the race dynamics.
Sorry was at the parents when this released (Good job I did it early today as youtube had issues later on apparently). But here's the guide if you haven't seen it!
That doesn't stop, I am 57 and still does it.I am in my mid-forties, I have a responsible job and a mortgage, yet 'ride the sausage' still makes me laugh way more than it should!
Thanks for the guides @Tidgney
Several times yesterday I saw the other version of abusing the pit exit lane, people flying out of pit and straight to the race line, in total disregard of others race.Nice, but I'm wincing at the use of the pitlane exit.
Yup. I had that happen to me in Manu round 1. Was very annoyed as they got in my way.Several times yesterday I saw the other version of abusing the pit exit lane, people flying out of pit and straight to the race line, in total disregard of others race.
I truly hope PD enforce the lines in GT7

I posted something to this effect a couple posts before yours. Something has gone a bit funky, methinks. Is anyone else having an issue with GTBlade, for checking their weekly race Qualy time?
My time appears to be right for Race C as I spent just a few mins on a time trial yesterday, but 11156 people have set a time, not 1348. So the percentages are wrong. Also I haven’t set a time for Race B. It says I set a time ~15s quicker than the current P1 time, but that still only puts me 38% overall. Hmmmm

I've set a time on all 3 races and it is only showing me my DR graph and telling me to set a time. I have dammit!EDIT: Anyone using GTBlade finding it a bit buggy this week? I've got no Q time on my main account, despite running Q laps there last night, and a Q time on my alt, even though I haven't used my alt this week. Checked a friend's times and it's only giving 1200 times for Race B... ?
I ran two races at the Catalunya daily race last night and they were Jekyll and Hyde.
First one I started 11th, lovely clean race with every driver I came across, great two lap battle with one in particular. Ended up 6th.
Second one I was starting 6th, in a completely different lobby. Barged out the way T1, Barged/punted three times on lap 2, lost my rag and quit at the end of the lap while running DFL.
My second ever rage quit, I shouldn't play GT while tired and grumpy!
I'm going to give Fuji a go tonight but I can't say I'm overly excited about this week's races, that goes for the FIA races too.
Ahh sorry, should have looked back then shouldn't I!I posted something to this effect a couple posts before yours. Something has gone a bit funky, methinks.
Race A: I regret ALWAYS using the 997. Not used to the 993 at all. @BenRod had it right all along!
Nice, but I'm wincing at the use of the pitlane exit.
All good!Ahh sorry, should have looked back then shouldn't I!
It appears to be working now though for me!
I had the case happening to me on Saturday in Nations, last lap, last turn, an R18 (hybrid) close behind and me in a non-hybrid Peugeot. I knew I didn't stand a chance even though the finish line at Spa is really close to the exit of that last chicane. What do you do?
You just came around Panasonic and are now leveled on the final straight heading for the finish line. You are in front of a BMW who is somewhat faster than you but with the slipstream can/will pass you before the finish line. As they approach (fast) do you move to stay in front or let him by?
I saw the pass coming, considered it blocking if I moved and just stayed my line as they passed. 2nd place, was I wrong?
Is this last lap? You are allowed one move. By doing that at the right time you can break his slip for a bit and force him to move around you. This could well gain you the split second you need to finish ahead. But obviously it is in the timing. What do you do?

"Blocking" is okay if it's a one-move thing. Swerving side to side down the straight to stay in front is another thing. It's also very easy to get it wrong and come off as a bit of an a-hole. I personally would have tried to keep my car in front by anticipating the overtake and moving - slowly - towards that space they were about to try to occupy before they make the move, whilst retaining enough space for them to make an alternative move if they still have the speed. They'd then have the option of sticking with you and pulling out at the last moment or sticking with their line and making the move without slipstream....considered it blocking if I moved and just stayed my line as they passed...
