I sorted my garage by "number of wins" and did the math. Since my single player campain is at 0% (could not care less about it), all those win come from Daily races.

Got it. I have done some of the AI races. Contamination :indiff:. It is worth a look though. Thanks.

EDIT: I looked. It does appear contaminated by some AI play but very interesting nonetheless.

The car that I have driven the most WITHOUT a victory is the Audi R18. I love that car but it appears the feeling is not mutual.

I know this is off topic so I apologize but has anyone else heard about the people behind Rfactor 2 making a NASCAR game that will be available on console? Or did I dream this?

You know I’ll eat my own words today. Race C at x13 is a decent race. Been running the 08 Lexus for the first time ever and having a blast. It’s not great over one lap but a decent race car. I finished every race tonight up at least 6 spots from qualifying.

Seen a mixture of good clean racing and dirty, desperate and scruffy racing. The dirty drivers like to lean on you a lot, especially into t1.
Overall a good combo, shame it wasn’t st croix but I’ve enjoyed battling with a few french drivers who were able to defend very well.

What is wrong with me?! I actually enjoyed a Race at Fuji, and in Gr2 cars, which I used to be terrible in! I think I’m getting the hang of them. Uneventful 10th and a handful of DR, with just a few laps in qualifying and without knowing the strategy, in an A+/A lobby... I may be able to grind some decent DR gains with a little effort!

I like the combo but I think I am done for the week. My best race laps are 1:33:* and sometimes a 1:32. There are guys tossing down 1:30 laps. Incredible. There is now a roadblock where I can't improve and don't know what to try next. My best race time is 20:49. The winning times are as low as 20:20. I am off by 30 seconds.

Really don't like this weeks races and as a result have been leaking DR like a sieve. Gone from a middling B (16K) down to 11K, partly due to my own incompetence but largely due to being punted or spun off , sometimes , several times in a race .. Took a few days off then went back on last night to do a Race C, started in 11th and made it to 4th by Lap 2, only to be spun off into the gravel, took an age to get back on the track and ended up last about 10 seconds behind the the next person, Hardly seems fair that the offender got a 4 second penalty yet my race was effectively over... Torn now between trying to get better and waiting it out for next week, in the hope that the tracks will be more to my liking and maybe avoid dropping down to a C again

I'm going to assume that Mt Panorama has problems with people not going single file over the top of the mountain and is a massive punt fest at Caltex Chase?

Gr4 fest next week.

Autopolis Gr4 (Looks like FF's only) 4 laps
Mount Panorama Gr4 3 laps
Leguna Seca Gr3 13 laps (Hards mandatory?)

Why are always getting the same tracks?
When was the last time we had a race B with Gr.3/4 cars on Suzuka full, Laguna Seca or Mount Panorama?? I understand the last one is narrow with the walls on the sides and the penalty system would cause madness. But the other two?
I wanna have FUN.

EDIT: I didn't see the post above. Mount Panorama just when I named it.
Ok, let's try. But again, I fear for the penalties.

Cool, I'm down for some Leguna Seca racing. I think I can get some decent results based on my past performances there. Even managed a win there back when I first started. I don't trust my fellow racers on Mount Panorama so I'll avoid racing there.

Tonight hasn't been great for me for daily races. Made a lot of silly errors that I wasn't making (as much of) earlier in the week.

At first I had a bad feel for the rear grip which is always a sign I didn't prepare enough. But then I saw that I was a second or so off my usual pace, and it pretty much sealed that I was "off" for maybe the first 3 races. I'm gonna blame it on the fact that I was driving on Nascar Heat prior. It's mostly flat out, after all.

With that in mind, I finally went off meta with the Xanavi, and it felt like driving on ice but only on-throttle. It's a great car for practicing throttle control when your driving suddenly gets scuffed and you're on the verge of embarrassing yourself. 24% of extra power is no joke.

Though, something that has been irking me is a slight increase in rubbing overtakes/not leaving space. Almost as if the amount of respectful driving decreased as the week went on. Hoping I'm not having a Seb moment lol

In the end there was still DR and a win to gain (thanks Hawco) but the growing pains are real.

@UnkaD I was also in that race with Guppy. I just watched the replay.

Two things: your Pennzoil livery is an absolute beauty. Did you make it? And if so, would you mind sharing it?

Also, the Brazilian you were battling - you guys were busy duking it out so I made l what I believe to be a clean pass between the two of you and that jerk knocked me off the track. I analyzed it and there is no mistake, in my mind. He somehow didn't get a penalty. Strange.
The Pennzoil livery isn't mine; it belongs to a player named Chillmott64. It is a stellar design. I do have a collection of '99 inspired JGTC loose replicas I've been working on for the '08 cars all shared. Living up the GT2 nostalgia the best I can. After that I plan to do other favorites from different years.

I remember the incident you mentioned. I thought it was odd how suddenly you had gone wide after holding a line already and figured he might have made contact.

This morning i received my replacement pedals and jumped direct into Race A.

First race was going nice with some fellas i raced before but the idiot behind me started to act. He pushed me and passed. I kept clean and chased him. At coming t1 he missed the apex and went wide, i was right at the apex with a blip of throttle and passed him. He rammed me deliberately next hairpin. I was expecting and did not lose control, he got 2sc penalty. I catched him on the straight, he went right to defend :) i sent him to narnia. Got 2sc pen. Finished 7th with red S

Second race, great start at p2, while i was passing the tire cooking idiot p1, he leans on my left back quarter panel, tries to spin me. I back off, let him go and ram him out of track at t1. Man this is at start of the race, i mean first seconds... Anyway, got 2sc pen. He is extremely lucky to go from last to catch me at penalty zone. I wait and ram him again out to the walls and also myself.

Dunno what to feel or to say right now. I came for racing and this...

Entered Race A a third time. It was destruction derby.

Race 4 was ok. Started p4 slipped across a known dirty idiot, p1 and p2 spinned themselves exiting hairpins following laps. Victory.

Race 5 started p2 chasing a disgusting pathetic creature who's welcome message is "destruction derby miss me" or something like that... Let me upload the replay for this.

I match with this creature a lot at A races in my region. Always disgusts me. Ruins peoples races. Thing says it is 56 or so years old if i remember right. Wasting resources for that much time for nothing! What a useless peace of garbage!
It recognises that it can't keep up with me racing so slows and tries to spin me out. :) pathetic creature.

Since I'm eager to see this week's races come to an end, I got a jump start on next week.
I am assuming that the Gr.4 Specially Provided Cars at Autopolis for race A will be the 4 FFs.
I spent some time with all 4 of them.
Fastest ones for me, in order were Scirocco, RCZ, TT Cup, Megane.
I'll certainly be racing with the VW, because it drives well, and it's the only one that has color choice. :)
I'm sure most of my competitors will use the RCZ, and a few in the TT.

Not sure if I'll enter race B. This is usually what happens to me at Bathurst in fast cars.
That track makes me nervous. :nervous:

*Note the 7 second penalty for getting hit!
I don't complain about the current penalty system, because obviously, it used to be much worse. :scared:
U guys remember the 7 second penalties?

It does feel odd. There are two weeks with no Group 4 and then two of the three races are Group 4.

Agree with the VW Scirocco choice at Autopolis... it appears to be the overlooked FF car amongst that quartet. I hope they surprise us a non-FF choice at Autopolis.

I expect that Mount Panorama/Bathurst, like NGP and DTS, will offer some balance between the drivetrains.
