After my nightmare run at FIA last night today I had some runs in daily A in the Americas today. Been good as I got to race with @BenRod and @KosmoKazi plus a couple of other familiar faces. Pretty much good solid racing with no dirty stuff. Feels good to cleanse the system like that and see friends on track.:gtpflag:
How did I never know your PSN ID before?! Yeah nice seeing you out there. Too bad I was not expecting that no-show starting second in our race... ruined me before I got to third gear! Oh well. It’s a fun race. I’ll hit some more before the week is over!

I give up. I love the Ring. I'm fast at the Ring. Finished second, third, fourth...etc... Saved fuel. Didn't save fuel. Started on pole a couple times, even. Just can't make it all come together.

Fuel saving races suck the large one.

Finished ahead of @Sven Jurgens a couple of times, so yay for that. Otherwise...meh.

Another decent night at seaside, most guys pretty fair though one guy made a super late change of line under brakes and I collected him.

Interesting race below with the groundfish. I got a horrible start so was quite a ways back but noticed there was a 4 or 5 car tussle up ahead and I figured at least two were gonna get burnt, especially with senior mustang amidst the bung fight.

Turns out there was no calamity but they did get bogged down and I zoom on by all lolz.

That looked great from your eyes! Lool
I couldn’t figure out what those guys ahead of me were trying to accomplish besides blocking the track and slowing us all...
Nice pass, a quad!

How you all survived is beyond me, really is. Should have ended in tears.

I was fine with them 2 wide I just waited but the Supraman came flying by on my right cape and all, STILL I woulda been ok except they were full stop coming out. Lol
I hit Supraman hard trying to get around them in the way 3 wide exiting cod.
They were just struggling/incompetent. Nothing that will cause me to take action.
What gets me going is intentionally dirty behavior not idiocy and incompetence.

Good to see you again!

Today is a mess at the back. Yesterday was much cleaner (from about 10-11pm est). Today is just not getting better, dozen people added to my block list already

I had a nice lag penalty as well lap 2 T1. Nothing happened but the game registered lag contact with the car in front of me who went side by side through T1. (Both out cars had no reaction to the phantom wobble) Due to the geometry of the track, he gained a place first then fell back (on the board, on the track they stayed even), thus the game decided I deserved a penalty. Still as dumb as rocks this system. Meanwhile all the fighting, ramming, shortcuts, wall bounces, nothing triggers a penalty lol.

Yesterday had one good clean pass with skill, haven't seen any today yet. The art of passing without contact is lost. The ring is still fun, but after this week I'm out of GT Sport again!

Yay, 12:30 AM, good race. Side by Side through T1 to T4 then swapping positions, fun racing. Tire wear is exhausting though, my front tires are half gone at the end of the race :/ Turns like a boat.

1:00 AM race, mess again. But thanks for clearing the field  I guess you had a bone to pick with someone. This game is so messed up. I messed up, hit the grass and the wall, get CRB. Maybe it was a lag bump and I did brake in time, hard to tell. It's all very wobbly racing south america.

Not racing much outside of race A this week as I can't hear as I have an ear infection or something and can not hear the car and tyre noises correctly whereas in A it just foot to the floor, on the plus side I set a quick qualifying time and end up on pole for almost every race so Pole laps is going up. I finished in every position except 1st so far and I can't understand why so many just can't bump-draft and are all over the place.

Yea, after about 4 races with the Jaguar, Honda and the VW, I don't think the Nurburgring is gonna treat me right this week. With only auto gears due to a odd controller, it isn't really easy to save fuel and be able to do a no-stop to try and keep up with the pack. Starting around 3-4 only to end up around 8-10 are not great results to brag about.

Dragon Trail Seaside and GR3, one of my favourite combinations.

I started with the Supra as the timesheets were filled with it. Have been a bit rusty on DTS and GR3 so could not break the 1.40 barrier for most of Monday. On Tuesday the track came back to me and I got in the 1.38 with the Supra. Did a few races, started between 8th-12th and got decent results by finishing in the Top 5, thanks to a lot of mistakes others made. However, I wasn't enjoying the Supra much. It is quick, but I could not push it to it's limit without it biting back. For one, it's massively tail happy in the exit of slow corners, and I lost it 2 times in a race and lost key positions. Usually I like to race with a car which I am super comfortable with, and can push during the race without it snapping back. On to trying others...

First up was the Mclaren - Has great top speed and is a few kms faster on the straights. However it is an elephant in corners and I felt it has understeer. I had to brake earlier to get the car to hit the apex's. Nightmare at COD and I just couldn't make clean exits. What I lost in corners was made up on the straights, but I wasn't satisfied with it in the race. Next.

Corvette - Similar to the Supra. Fast, handled well, but I could not eke out the best from it. Next.

Beetle - Oh how I have missed the Beetle. I had forgotten how nimble it can be. A bit slow on the straights I feel, but on point in corners. You could place a penny on the apex and you can get the Beetle to hit it. I went from a high 1.38 to a low 1.38 with the Beetle, and with more to come. You can push it as hard and it won't snap back. I have some defined overtaking points on DTS, and love to brake late into the 2 (almost) hairpins we have on the track. The Beetle holds it's ground and is super steady. I am doing the race with TCS 0 and have not had a single spin or sideways moment. Made 3 top 5 finishes with it.

Porsche - Did a couple laps and it seems like the Beetle. Push it hard and it won't snap. I am going to try the Porsche more and see if I can get to the 1.375xx times.

A win is elusive on DTS as yet, but hoping to snag one.

Jumped on my alt on the Asia/Pacific server for some races at Seaside last night. It's a relatively new account so I don't have a huge amount of cars to choose from, so I jumped between the F-Type and Walkenhorst M6.

I started off with a couple of races without Q times, surprised to see at least four in each race doing the same thing. Starting 10th in the Jag, I managed to cut through the field with ease and found myself in 5th by the first COD! Held on to that position and fought with P6 and P4, eventually taking P4, but a penalty for a car who smacked the wall in COD and I hit his bumper not being able to avoid a collision meaning an SR down. Into the M6 and I started in 11th, having a great battle with a Corvette and a Supra. Found myself in 5th on the last lap but managed to screw up the COD and ended up in 6th.

So then I decided to do some Q laps. Posted a 1:38:6XX in the M6, which put me in Q2. It seems that made me a target for an M3 who felt like ruining my race! Dive into T3 to run me wide, hugging his bumper for the rest of the lap and the next, until he took me out at the COD (and then I wiped out in the COD on the last lap!) and I ended the race limping home in 9th, only because two guys rage quit ahead. Not a fun race at all...

Decided then to bail on that, try Race A. Again, no Q time, so near the back, but surprised that half the field didn't have a Q time either. Started 7th, bump drafted my way into the lead three and held on to 3rd place in the end. An extremely boring race by all accounts, but definitely good for SR - CRB and a small gathering of DR.

Definitely won't be running Race B on my main account, maybe Race A to recover a couple of lost SR from the last manu race. Haven't plucked up the courage to try Race C yet...

Been running race A in Asia and NA tonight. Vastly different experiences.

In NA there would be a little jockeying for position and keeping your place, but mainly people just going with the flow and getting set up for the end until it got serious about 2/3 the way down the back straight. Then a rough and challenging run to the line. But mostly a solid racing experience.

In Asia. No way. No idea how to handle this thing. People swerving everywhere, slamming people out of line and into the walls, trying to cut people off for a slight bump of boost. And this is just until we create the hill on the front straight! It just got worse from there. Mostly had good finishes, but that was only when I was able to get ahead of those guys early and make sure I was ahead of them at the final turn. If I wasnt then they were wiping people out massively at the end, sending them into the outside wall, pit entrance, whatever. It was ugly.

No respect shown and I definitely have a few names to avoid at all costs in the future.
Ruined my CRB streak as well by walling me at the end. Total muppets, I mean what point at all is there in fighting to make sure you are p10 instead of p11 within the first 30 seconds of that race? This was all in A/S split as well.

Did see a face from here in one race but couldn't hook up as they were lag spiking a bit and twice they vanished from where I thought they were.

Right, then.

I've finally figured out the no stop at the 'Ring and it still sucks. Got 2 overnight wins, a couple second places, mostly top 5's and one "other". Q time of 8:45.xxx holds up pretty well. Using the VW and FM set to 2 through 6 depending on conditions.

Net loss of 10 SR, but was down as low as 60 SR at one point, thanks to another round of being trolled by a member of a certain prominent team that I see frequently in the high B and low A lobbies.

At the risk of banishment, and if any of the "Team" is on here, I call to the PSRT Gran Turismo team to call your boy off. Enough is enough.

Seriously.

Sport mode wins 64 and 65, well hard fought.

Screw you PSRT Joeker.

Next week races look good to me. Two of my favorite tracks: DTG and Autopolis.

Another Scirocco fest in Gr,4, but no matter, it's Gr.4.

Autopolis would be interesting if it's Group C only.

As for this afternoon. Race C in the 86. Still no qualy on my main. Just cruising and wait for "magic" overtakes.
First race, a C7 was so wild from the back. EVEn when I let it by, it was all pover the joint. Just a bit sloppy. Wasn't trying to ruin anyone's race, but missing the apexes.
Last race, followed a 3 second Scirocco that should have let me by, but I stayed behind until it served it's penalty. Followed another Scirocco and had #MYGTMOMENT

Seaside Larini’s a trash corner to try and attempt a pass at, jesus christ how much both are slowed when that happens. No winner, two losers.

The Snorkel at Seaside is a great corner but not if you dive. Gotta establish position approaching braking.
I outbraked myself there once last night due to that traffic trouble.
I was getting frustrated and lost patience.
So this morning I spent a few minutes on my classic pre work tradition-coffee and qual.
Missed optimal by a few tenths but maybe this will be enough to clear traffic-if not I will have to q in the Supra...

I regard Larini as the crash fest tricky right. I maybe wrong, it's happened once before according to the wife.

I am tapped out for qualifying pace but seem to be able to hold my own in races, the Supras do make a lot of errors and the bettle is so stable over the kerbs I can really chuck it around. I can also defend well because the brakes are insane. Kept my DR at 37K this week despite lack of true ace, which is close to my historical high of 39K.
