Welcome back brother! Now get that network thing figured out, and let's get to it!

Working on it. The location of the NBN outlet isn't where I want it, but since it already exsisted in the building, the NBN guy wasn't prepared to move it to where i wanted it when he came it hook it up . I have 25m of RG6 connected between the outlet and the interface box that connects to the modem to see if there is enough signal to make a connection. Still not sure how much loss there is over 25m, but everything seems to work. Next step is to run a couple of 30m cat 6 cables... just waiting on the cable. Will still probably be another week before I'm in business to race.

Fortunately I've been moderately lucky with mine. Syncs at ~30Mb and is rock stable most of the time. It gets a little sketchy about ten to twenty minutes after it starts to rain heavily but usually recovers after half an hour or so even if the rain doesn't stop.

So far it's working. I don't know how well it's working, but it's working. On the plus side, even though I moved to another suburb I've been able to keep my old number. I guess there's no exchanges involved anymore. If my network cable shows up I'll be able race in next weeks DRWF... but since I haven't raced since I moved I suspect that might be very dangerous ... especially for @GOTMAXPOWER .

I'm pretty sure I noticed the updated car collision physics a lot last night. Little bumps, which used to move the car a few car lengths now possible for the bumped car to recover. Some good recoveries last night.

Watched some of the replays. Took one picture of DTG. Weird moment. No contact. But Granadier and I tandem drive into the wall for no reason.

Im off Monday and will be on 10am-5pm and then 9pm-12am est.

Would love to jump in a lobby with anyone of you guys and practice the dailies, share tips, and duke it out around some corners.

Feel like during the dailies we run on Friday nights we all improve, get a jump start on first day of dailes!?

Short notice but you may find some interest. 👍

I recommend building your friends list. That way you have ghosts to follow/beat all week. And when someone/or you opens a lobby it's easier to find using the "only show rooms with friends" checkbox.

I assume you have Pigems on your list. If you go to his friends list, we're all on there. Add a note with GT Planet or DRWF (Daily Races with Friends).

Unfortunately GTS doesn't show times and friends across regions in game. You can see you friends and if they shared a lap, but you can't use their ghosts (can you use ghost of friends that are not in the top 10?)

Yeah that sucks. I'd love a custom TPC international list.

I think I have used ghosts that weren't top 10. Not 100% though. Here in NA, a lot are in the Top 10 often so maybe I might not have noticed.

Just a way to practice with more benefit than solo qualifying.

Im usually off mondays n set up lobbies to try and do this for different dailies. Long practice, then race if people come.

Usually turns into me leaving because no one grasp what I’m trying to do lol.

I’ll send out some friend request tonight, a sound idea, or atleast best way to make this happen.

My ultimate goal is to get some fun practice in, and focus on sharing tips, and racing hard and close for trial and error - and not tank our SR lol

so far I’ve been much less successful in setting this up, on my own than i imagined

Not sure if you're aware, it's why Pigems started DRWF in the first place. A lot of us were frustrated at the time.

For me personally, it's the sole reason I'm still playing. If not for meeting this bunch at that moment, I would have quit playing thinking there were no clean drivers at all. Also I sucked, my signature when I joined GTP was " I suck". So grateful to Pigems and sturk for inviting me.

There's not as many as it looks like, there's probably ten or so alts in the list. You raced with mine today

welp, 22m of RG6 laid and two 26m strands of Cat6. f-connectors crimped to the RG6, Cat6 terminated in keystone sockets. Everything has been moved and it still seems to work.......not sure how much lag will be induced by that 22m of RG6 but I think I'm good to go for Friday. One small problem, it's Saturday for me and I have to help my brother with some stuff related to my late father's estate.... bugger!
