yep i love the HIDS on my neon, they are very intense, 5000k, little bit blueish then stock HIDs, but i can see well at night, very well, all i see in front of me is a nice beam of blue whitish light. and a knife sharp cut off line off the walls and other car, im also running cyrstler 300c projector retrofit lens now.

But then again you have to remember that PD know how model headlight colors very well, just look at GT4, every car had a different headlight output, there was fogged over bronze, yellow, blue, HID, yellow foglights, performance white, off white, dingy old car white, and your standard halogen white and excettera, not in other games where all the car headlights are white...

I never knew Neons came with stock HIDs? Maybe you're comparing it to stock HIDs on other vehicles equipped with them? Anyways, I'm not doubting PD's ability to create realistic "looking" headlights because I'm always in awe every time I play GT4 on the night tracks. What I'm hoping for in GT5 will be realistic lighting, as in how the light reflects and light up the roads and surrounding objects. It would be a shame to have such amazing lighting in GT5 but still have the same headlights from GT4 where they just look like their real life counterpart but not light up the track/road like their real life counterpart would. :)

Lol they don't come stock with HID's :P

i ordered some HID's from mobile HID.com, (non cheap ones)

I then ordered a (Crystler 300c HID Projector lens), So i could retrofit my neon. to give it a more natural HID look, and the end result looked great, ive never been flashed since, I did the retrofit because Putting HID's in Reflector housing is a nono... to much Glare and beam patterns shooting across from every where. :)

And @ your following post, i posted a thread about HID vs Halogens but no one took it serious and it got locked.... i'll dig it up, edit it, and post it here..

I didn't think Neons came stock with HIDs. Thank you for the explanation. I have Audi TT projectors retrofitted on my 5th gen Prelude headlights and they looks beautiful. You're absolutely right about aftermarket HID kits creating way too much glare on stock halogen reflector headlights. This is why I went the retrofitted route. I also have a set of E46 Bi-Xenon projectors that I'm planning on retrofitting into my spare set of headlights. Should be pretty nice looking once I'm done with it.👍

Aren't there a couple cars in Prologue that have their lights on? I can't remember which ones. I always seem to see it a HSR though.

The Corvette Z06 always has its lights on

Awesome man, very awesome, sound's like a proper sick set up. And yes, Retrofit is the only way to go! or after market (Good) projector lens, some of them work amazingly.

I have a feeling it's a photoshop...

The lights have too much detail compared to the rest of the car - and working out the reflections of the light from the back of the headlamp lense seems like going above and beyond the call of duty in terms of realism.

Yes, the lights look great, but they look out of place when compared to the rest of the car...

He can't be blamed, it's the OP's fault that he added the option "Photoshopped", when it obviously (:dunce:) isn't a photoshop.

In GT5 Prologue, both the tuned corvette & the Z06 had their headlights &
taillights on all the time. :)

In GT4 lot of cars had taillights on.
On the Tokyo track also. So not a big hint I think.

Oh, and not to forget, the Subaru is not casting light on anything...:(

No car's on "GT4" tokyo track had there headlights or tail lights on, i think you mean hong kong?

For those who say it's a bombshell dropped by PD, is that what you want it to be, or what it is?
