Decal image report function: What's the point?

The ability to report decals that break the guide lines seems largely useless to me. I have reported everything from blatant foul language decals, full on nudity, drug promotion and many other things yet they remain allowed, they didn't violate PD's terms.
Just what kind of gutter trash, low lifes work for PD? How bad does something have to be to get removed? PD seems to find it fully acceptable to have decals with foul language, nudity and drug promotion on liveries that can be downloaded by kids of any age. My faith in the company and the game is at an all time low for allowing this to happen, even with a report function. Absolutely disgraceful conduct.
And no, i'm not a prude, snowflake or any other wet wipe you can think of but certain things do not belong in games open to all ages where a report function could solve it!

There however have been numerous decals and liveries that got removed for no reason at all :ouch:

So true, how they go about things is ridiculous. Fine to have a car with a woman with spread open legs on it, a decal saying **** you on the back and so forth yet others that are totally acceptable get deleted!

It is a bit hit or miss, but plenty of stuff does get removed and it's rare I see anything that I'd class as offensive (without specifically searching for it at least).

I've retrieved banned decals in the past, re-uploaded them and they've stuck around. I think people just report things at random sometimes.

The same applies to my Asahi Kiko E30 livery. It‘s been removed, I re-shared it and it‘s still there..

Thanks PD 👍

Any photos of such decals?

In my experience, the report functions works if many people submits the report instead of sole one. Not sure what's the actual threshold is.

I remember when someone named TommiKiN posted some anime girl in swimsuits (not sexual as I was saw it, just normal). I followed others joking around commenting "FBI Open Up", but not reporting. But turns out plenty of people did the reporting, and the result is not only the decal removed, but his PSN account got banned for a whole month.

He then got slightly angry after the ban and removes all of his decals featuring anime girls.

If i had such photos and posted them here then i will be violating this sites terms and conditions, and as i'm clearly someone who wouldn't intentionally violate them, then no, i don't. Also, i'm not sure why I would want to take or have such photos? Just trust me, they 100% violate their own terms and conditions!

Is that a different report function from reporting a livery after a race? I've only done that a couple times with offensive (foul language in huge letters) liveries and it sends you to the reporting system on psn. Perhaps that works better as I didn't see those liveries again.

I got warned for abusing the system the one time I tried this. All of the (few) decals I've reported have ended up gone.

I think I've only seen cartoon vagina in the decal section once, and that'd had pretty much disappeared by the time I'd clicked report.

Yeah, when you click on a decal it has an option to report the image and then a selection of reasons why, eg sexually explicit, foul language, drugs etc. Yet it seemingly has no effect as a few hours later you receive a notification that the image didn't violate their community standards.

Not raw image. You can edit them to censor offending parts.

Or just post the search times that were used when the offending images were stumbled across.

I mean, the whole school swimsuit thing is pretty fetishized in Japan. And pretty creepy especially when you consider it's a school uniform. I'm not surprised PD would come down hard on someone uploading such things.

Guys, were talking about dozens of images over dozens of months. No search terms were used, they were found while looking through the latest uploads. Please, no more requests etc for pictures. I dont do screenshots of things like that and neither do i take note of who made them, what they were called etc as i would have hoped PD would have done their job and deleted them.

I just go a thank you for submitting a report and your report has been processed 30 minutes later. I did get the standard warnings not to abuse the system but if it's against psn policy, it's not abusing. I also report those random messages on psn to sell you hacked accounts or private lap dance nonsense. Sony really needs to up their filters a bit.

they removed this (see att.) from my feed too after uploading it (got 53 likes) before getting reported

so now i only have the one in my decals

why be so offended?

I can see why people would be offended at that to be fair, it's a known hand gesture that largely implies ****off amongst many other meanings. (Regional, national variations before peolpe start nit picking on its meanings)

Plenty of missing decals when i browse and i rarely if ever see any naked girls or foul language..

Thank god there is Bikini girls and Sexy dressed Anime figures or my cars would be BORING!
