Drove by this hotel on our way to Victory Field (which, ironically, our team was not victorious that night) and saw a lot of cars in the parking lot. We didn't have time to stop but on our way back at like 1:00am we pulled in to get some really quick pictures.


What is/was this first one? I'm pretty sure it's been converted to a truck.

Import tuner shows are easy enough to cut down on photos, considering everyone and their cat drives an Evo, STI, or Neon SRT-4.

Destin is a nice area. If you like planes, you should go to the Pensacola Naval Air Museum. It's not far from Destin. I went a long time ago.

Yup, I've learned for the first time I went to destin and I actually did go to the Naval Air Museum recently on fathers day. My father has an huge interest in aircraft and we're probably going back there again later on.

One thing I took from this show is that I respect the import crowd a lot more than the domestic guys. While the overall quality is typically nicer with American builds and I love that there's just as much support for keeping a car original as there is making it better, it seems these guys rarely do their own work... and no one actually drives their cars! There was a lot of "chassis by such and such shop," "engine built by these guys." The Euro and Japanese crowds seem like much more hands-on communities. Not to mention, I saw an "import killer" sticker on one of the windows. Really? Your built V8 is faster than a four cylinder? Dwamn.

I didn't see anything at the Lexus dealership, I couldn't turn around for the Mercedes dealer after I passed it, couldn't be bothered to stop for the BMW dealership, and when I got to the Chrysler dealership I saw this going on down the road at the Jag/Range Rover/Volvo dealer. I didn't even know they were having it.

Tiny little cars and coffee at a Chickfila. I talked to the owner of the 2000 Corvette for about 5 minutes. Seems like they're all friends. I was actually really surprised to see the Lightning.

(Don't think the STi was apart of it, just wanted some breakfast)(and the greenish blue car was a Studebaker Champion, which I saw earlier on the road and thought it was an Alfa/Fiat )

Other than the addition of a sport package, this 530i is the exact same spec as mine. Watching it drive past made me miss driving mine so hard. This one's for sale, interestingly. Don't need two little gray Bimmers, though.

Haven't witnessed such unanimous excitement for one car since the Veyron visited.
