incidentally, some people's concept of 'supercar' is rather questionable, including a crusty Triumph Stag, a 53 plate Golf, an 80s Supra and a Y reg S-type Jag...among others

So I have some pictures from the local Cars and Coffee that took place last Saturday. There was some truly special stuff here this time, which I think was because it was a fundraiser for local children's hospitals.

The images are thumbnailed to save space and are 950 pixels wide, let me know if you want the full-size versions.

1955 Porsche 550 Spider, without a doubt the rarest car I've seen turn up.

1992 Porsche Carrera RS, one of my favorites from the day.

2006 Porsche CGT. It was a PCA-run event, so of course they'll be bringing the best they have to offer.

2005 Ford GT. Nothing special, first one I've seen outside of a showroom though.

SLS AMG and SL65 Black. Family portrait.

Early 80's Corvette. Ignore the mis-identification in the title, may I please have some help on this one? (Targa Mk IV Supra in the background as a bonus.)

Engine/Transmission of the 550 Spider. This one's a massive 1,730 pixels wide, so be patient while it loads.

I have about forty pictures from the show and a Qvale Mangusta on my video camera that I'll extract some stills of tomorrow.


Edit 5/10: I'm transferring the video to my computer as I'm typing this, so here's another picture while I finish up.

Recently I visited our local Stratstone Ferrari dealer. Very nice of them to let me record and take photos.

I was surprised to see an LP550-2 Valentino Balboni, there were also more cars outside (Including a GT2 Porsche) that I didn't get footage of.

Photos from today's Brooklands Double 12. The theme wasn't "Bring along the car you think the Devil would drive", but it could have been. I've lost my heart to a Packard Bentley.

I certainly thought so. It's powered by a 42 litre V12 aeroplane engine, has 1500bhp, but only weighs 2.4 tonnes, and most of that is the weight of awesome.
