Just snagged this one on my way back from lunch today...Courtesy of Griffin Motors in Florence, South Carolina:

And Poolhaas, was the F1 nice and noisy?
Yeah, you could hear it starting up from a distance. I just managed to shoot this video during the start up, the revs are limited but you can see the people behind the engine were glad it didn't go full blast there

The noise it made when doing the 2 laps were amazing

Just went back from my annual pilgrimage.

It is a charity event held each year at my local racetrack, Circuit du Val de Vienne in France (50km from my place).
Called Sport et Collection, the event is one of the biggest Ferrari meeting in Europe and each year, 500 Ferrari gather up to raise money against cancer.
500 other sports & racing cars are also present during the 4-day event.

The first day (thursday) is a track day thing with unlimited access to the racetrack for drivers who signed up for the event.
The rest of the weekend consist of a huge exposition on the paddock and every 30 minutes, track sessions are taking place on the circuit (Ferraris, Modern GT, LMPs, F1, Vintage LM, Bugatti Grand Prix...).
Also during these three days, visitors can buy a "racetrack baptism" and do three laps around the track in the passenger seat of some of the cars attending the event.
All the money raised during these four days are given to the University Hospital of Poitiers, (my home town) to fight cancer.

I go to this event every year and it is amazing.
There aren't many events where you can see that many Ferraris. From F1 cars from the 50s to the brand new Ferrari F12berlinetta, almost every Ferrari is represented here.

Anyway, I'm gonna stop talking now and show you some pics ;)

This is just a few of the many amazing cars that were there this year.
If you want more, visit my album on flickr.

And if you happen to be in France next year the first weekend of june, please stop by 👍

Thank you, good sir, for shooting this McLaren F1

Every time I look at it, it gets more and more magnificent. I think seeing one of those is my second biggest dream.

Not to mention that's one hell of an awesome set 👍

So I went to this Porsche Children's Day event on 2.VI. Quite a few rides there. Plus, I had an occasion to take a ride in a Porsche 930 Turbo '80!

Anyway, here are the pics I shot there:

BUT SUDDENLY!!! This astonishing Rolls-Royce (Phantom III ? - thanks go to Bom15 for somewhat settling it) turned up. The driver got lost; there was a wedding (aka 'game over') somewhere near there Too bad I couldn't get a better shot, I was in a queue for a ride :D

Any help on identifying this model would be appreciated:

Ladies and gentlemen, behold - Porsche 356 Carrera! :dopey: There's only 14 of those in Europe left!

Madertus, the 997 "GT3 RS?" is actually a 997 Carrera S with a GT3 bodykit. :)

Great pictures, wish I was there! BTW was there no Carrera GT? It's one of my all time favourite cars.

poolhaas, Fido_le_muet, aadil717 - thanks for feedback! :D

Fido, Yeah, it was definitely nice :D Nothing better for me than just standing next to a nice car and admiring it ;)

aadil, Thanks for correction, changing right now. Unfortunately, there was no Carrera GT. Chances of seeing one of those in Poland are more or less equal to my cat turning out to be a transformer. Had I seen one of GTs there, believe me - I'd be the happiest man alive. And I'd wait no-matter-how-long to record its revs.

@Madertus - Sweet pics. Not keen on what they've done to the spoiler on the Boxster tough. I think your missing car might be a Rolls-Royce Phantom III. But don't hold me to that.

@Fido - Again sweet pics. Especially the 288 GTO & F40 LM. Some odd cars there also. The Chevron? And Peugeot racer looks odd. But nice.

I got another show on the 17th June. Then off to Goodwood FoS at the end of the month. :)

Went to a British car show today and here's some of what was there.

While coming home we stopped at this dealership which has really overpriced cars. Either that or they're completely shot. They have a Ferrari 512 in the garage which I couldn't get a picture of because it was closed.

There was another 924 which was completely shot and two 944s there also.

Ford GT with my Town Car in background.

It had aftermarket exhausts, it sounded great.

WOWZA at that B12  That 2002 is amazing as well.

8 series is definitely one of the best BMWs ever made.

And 1M... I can't say whether or not there's another small car that reminds me of a portable rocket THIS much.

I follow the other DYSAGT thread more than this, but seems I might be missing out! Those Ferrari and Porsche event pics are just AWESOME. Madertus, your 928 is actually a 968, still a great car. And the 356 Carrera, well what can I say, OMG.

I took the first few pictures about a month ago and was at this dealer again today but they didn't have many new cars in.

Down the street is the actual Mercedes dealer which is crazy. The dealer is actually a mansion and the owner displays some of his cars up on the balcony. I should've got more pictures but was in a hurry.

I've seen that Mini, that's at the dealership on Baum blvd, right?

And where are the Lexus and Mercedes dealers at? I have to know! Are they near the Lotus dealer? (I assume that's the one in the north hills on route 19). Anyway, I know of a place down the road from the Lotus dealership that services speciality cars. It's called Exoticars. Check it out!
