I've had friends telling me that they pass by the Jaguar/Land Rover dealership and keep seeing a covered up Aston Martin parked out front. On my way to the gas station yesterday, I drove by and saw it. "That's not an Aston Martin...that's a :censored:ing F-Type!!!" Pulled in and got some pictures with my DSLR in hand. Not great shots, but just quick ones. The dealers started talking about cameras with me too. They also had a V8S sitting inside the showroom. Even started it up for me and a father and son group whilst we were looking at it. They are definitely the nicest dealers in the state. :D

Didn't even think these would be in my town.

Weekly car show on Friday:

Beetle!

Not sure what this is, it's the first time I've seen it. Engine sounded air cooled, but I'm not sure.

Beautiful Impala.

Oldsmobile Toronado! Not seen one of these before!

Whipple supercharged Fairlane.

Very nice Gremlin.

Pretty Hudson.

I had received an invitation from Jaguar to attend the "unveiling" of the F-type at a country club down here in San Diego. Work wouldnt let me out so I had to pass. The following day the Jaguar/Aston Martin dealership hosted a brunch/test drive event for the F-type from 10AM-2PM. I went, and it was amazing. I honestly have to say that the F-type V-8S was incredible. The XKRS I drove at Dodger Stadium last year was amazing dont get me wrong, but getting to take this out on the freeway and blast through 8 gears....8 GEARS! My heart rate has yet to settle down. Here are some photos from Saturday's event.

F-Type V-6 S (Sounded amazing at RPM) The F-Type V8-S was out with another guest and my cellphone battery was about shot. I saved the remaining life for.....

You're welcome ;)

^My god, words can't even start to describe how absolutely stunning the E-Type is...

Still, F-Type and the new Vanquish prove that it is very possible to make beautiful cars even today, when all the designers try to jump ahead of their time 👍

^There's usually more Beetles, but for some reason there was only one there.

2014 Shelby GT500 at the local Ford dealer.

I went to my first ever drift event today. It was quite the experience, as I typically don't go to event like this. These guys have balls... the cars are, quite frankly, unsafe, crapboxes with all the good bits in the engine bay. I definitely have a new respect for the drift community.

Aw, you went to the one at Limerock! I was going to go there this weekend, but being a 4 hour drive and in the morning, we'd have to camp there. And my friends weren't able to go, as well as one of my friends who were going to participate, instead we went to DriftSpot at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway. I'll post up my pictures later. I love that stickerbombed 3-Series, it was at the last DriftSpot event.

Awesome pictures too! 👍

Ferrari Owners Club of Ohio had a little drive and lunch today. Where'd they go to dine? Little Italy, of course.

Alright, I'll go again.

Saw an Esprit through a fence while trundling down the freeway, had to get off and investigate. It was at a dealership, so it goes in this thread, but still an awesome spot! The 2nd most wild Esprit I've seen, I'd say. Granted, this dealership hosts a car show pretty much every Monday, and I drive by it every Monday on my way to play some PFS at the local game shop, and sometimes I see cars on their way there, same town where I was shocked to spot a yellow 2nd gen Gallardo tooling around. So there must be more money around than I thought in this neighborhood.

Anyways, 1991 Lotus Esprit SE for sale

yeah, I wish I had $26k to throw down on a car right now...

Saw this 2.8 Capri in a local Ford dealer, said they had it in there for some publicity. Loads of people came in and looked around it and took photos.

I know the car from a couple of Classic Ford shows I go to with my car, the owner has two others besides this one.

Mk1 - 3000 GT
Mk2 - 3.0 Ghia

All of them are stunning just like this one.

My turn, I sometimes decide to go to car dealerships to look at what cars they have when I get bored. I think I'm weird because I do this though, hehe.

Great last few posts, I seem to be falling in love with the Ferrari 400i (gorgeous black one in the Daft Punk movie Electroma), nice Esprit with the way prettier non-US-spec rear lights, and the Capri is superb, the 2.8i even in standard form was/is a pretty quick car too :)

* Deap breath
*Panting On a side note that orange '57 Corvette is also an Airbox car and the 240z is a Japanse Fairlady!

Saw this F-Type from a Jaguar dealer while car spotting at the promenades. Am I correct in thinking that this is a V6 S? Looks pretty nice, way better than the one I saw at the Philadelphia auto show.

Couldn't see the screen so didn't notice my finger was in this... :grumpy:

But... But... It said supercharged on that silver piece in the front fenders! I though that's what an 'S' was? Plus I saw on the website it said they had a V6S.

It doesn't have the pink and green badges on the grille and rear. The base model is also supercharged, hence the "Supercharged" badges.

It's still a great spot and a lovely colour combo :)
