Warning: Long post ahead.

2013 Carmel Artomobilia was today. Best car show in Indiana. Here's some pictures, plus I'm making two videos of the cars right now.

Kenny Brown Mustang

M5

Mini

356 Speedster?

The Shelby in front is 1 of 1. Not sure about the other two, but they are pretty rare as well.

My first Morgan!

Dem windshield wipers!

And now we're at the actual show (the above pics and the videos I'm making were at check in)

I skipped most of the usual muscle cars because it's stuff I post from the Friday night car shows I go to a lot, so I just got the more interesting cars.

Never seen this before. *Someone please correct me if I'm wrong* This is a Pontiac Tempest with the "Sprint" option, which gave it a high performance OHC I6.

You may recall a Viper SRT10 I posted a few months ago in the other thread. I believe (though I'm not certain) this is the same one. Last time I seen it was in Bloomington, which isn't exactly a short drive.

One of the three legitimate Cobras at the show today. One of one there that had a 427, the other two were 289's. He told me about the car, but I was so excited about everything, I forgot it.

Not only my first ZL1, but my first Lingenfelter!

This thing looked awesome.

Replica 427.

Same Morgan from earlier. It's a Aero Supersport.

My first ACR! 1 of 5 in this color and 1 of 20 total (convertible)

He's modified the stripe and interior a bit, which I disapprove of, but still, cool.

One of the 289 Shelby Cobras.

Those of you that live in Indiana or are fans of the Colts probably know who this guy is:

Here's the 1 of 1 Shelby from earlier.

Marmon

IIRC this was a Marmon as well.

First Z8!

My first F-Type! (And a V8, no less!)

Not nearly as many E-Types as there were last year.

:D

Every single person that saw this (including me) thought this was a Rolls Royce at first. But, it was a Bentley.

Second ZL1, and not a Lingenfelter.

One for the late Slashfan.

And the last legitimate Shelby Cobra that was there.

Rossion Q1 I think. Everyone was asking what it was and then someone would reply with "Lotus Evora"

Absolutely no clue.

The young kids were telling their parents how much they liked these Ferraris:

The yellow BMW on the other side of this one is an M3 as well. I don't know what happened to the pic.

BMW Z3

With...

In case you couldn't tell because of the sunlight blocking the badges, this is an M6.

Pretty sure this was my first Diablo.

If you count, you'll see 8 or 9 DeLoreans. One of them going in the questionable modifications thread.

The Cayenne is a GTS if anyone was wondering. I have no clue if the GTS is any good or not.

I tried getting video of this while it was leaving check in, but a wrecking truck got in the way and ruined the sound anyways (huge diesel engine). This thing sounded epic. Had a 426.

Can anyone ID this for me? I would greatly appreciate it!

I did get video of this. It was loud...

Ok, I'm done... :dopey:

Why did you take a picture of a Chrysler 200?

I don't know, I thought the engine looked interesting or something. It was kinda an odditie there since most of the cars there had roaring v8s that made at least 300hp.

@Kingjosh; your post is full of win!

Anyway, I guess this is part #4:

1966 Ford Mustang Convertible; with a retractable top. This was apparently a very rare 1966 Prototype; only 14 were made. It was an idea thought of by one of the employees of Ford, but Henry Ford didn't like it.

Was that your first Mangusta?

"No clue" appears to have a Lotus emblem, that's all I got.

Yes on the LeMans Sprint I believe.👍

"No Clue" is a Lotus 2-11. I lived in Carmel for a few years before I moved to the UK.

Lovely shots of the Lotus's (Lotii?)

Part 5, it's going to be kinda long:

I do apologize for not having any pictures... But I found out about something very interesting hidden in a town in Maine. (Not known for being a very good town that is) There is a warehouse/garage in Maine that is owned by a former owner of one of the dealership franchises in New England. He is an avid Toyota 2000GT collector and I've heard (only some pictures available) that there is maybe 7 Toyota 2000GT's located in his warehouse. One of them being the first ever 2000GT that also went into racing with the help of Shelby. In the garage, there is also a Miura, 300SL Gullwing, Cobra, Ferrari 330 GTS, and even...possibly one of the two convertible James Bond 2000GT convertibles (said on a post years ago, so it might be in a museum by now). Another rumor that 49 of the 62 US-spec 2000GTs have come to him for a service. His name's Bob Tkacik and I've seen pictures of him racing his Lotus at Lime Rock's historic racing events. Anyways, here's some pictures that I've found.
http://mainelineexotics.blogspot.com/

At the moment, my friends and I are trying to find someway of contacting him. I even talked with the lead engineer at my temp job who says he knows Bob. So there's a possibility I could try to visit the warehouse and see the millions of dollars worth of classics.

Pt4.
My first Z8

Black one is a S.

My first Morgan.

MR2 again.

My guess is the owner is the guy with the matching shirt.

Same XK

That was moving when I took the picture :)

Why is there a picture of a base model Lancer? :dunce:

Edit: I can't even see what's going on in those last pictures.

The 'ricers' tag seems to be a little unfair. The yellow one seems to be a real ITR, which is pretty rare to find for a decent price these days.
