Since I assume not many people know what they're looking at in here, I'll explain. Dinalpins are made-in-Mexico Alpines. Dina de Mexico -hence the name Dinalpin- got the license to build the sporty cars in here when mexican laws mandated that 80% of every car sold in Mexico had to be made in the country.

They are extremely rare even here, with less than 600 made in all body styles, I think that there's less than 100 roadsters accounted for, so that car is really really rare. It must be quite invaluable in Europe, I don't even want to imagine the kind of coin they paid to get it over there. Very cool picture.
Thanks for explaining Cano 👍
Only identified this car because it said so on the front, other than that never heard of it before.

Last Wednesday at the drag strip. I'll ahve videos too. Fastest car was a 1976 Mustang II with a 393 stroker that ran 7.1s, but can run faster. It's for sale on ebay for $11,000 with full specs. It can do a 1/4 mile in 10 seconds @ 132mph!! Not bad for a small block! Also, the car is totally street legal. It has plates on it and I spoke to the owner for a while.

Sorry for the bad pictures, my Ipod sucks

RX7, in case you can't make it out. One of the few imports I like.

1969 Mustang Coupe and a, I want to say a Nova. Nova had slicks, Mustang was just a street car. I took these pictures while we were in line to race ourselves. The Nova ended up winning.

That's it for pictures, most of what I got was videos, quite a few good ones of the Mustang too =P Totaly wasted a SRT8 Challenger =P

It was so nice =P A lot of my friends were talking mad trash until they saw it run down the track, which BTW I have a few videos of it making passes I'll have to get up.

Here's some HD images from around the net, the car is making headlines all over New York and the owner is a few hour drive from me. It even made Stang TV, a huge Mustang resource and seeing that car in person was awesome. The owner claims it will run 10.95 1/4 miles in street trim, which I believe because after getting a 7.1 pass in the 1/8th which is a 11.1 1/4 mile on video, well, you just know he's not lying lol. I even have videos of it doing a small wheelstand.

The car is a genuine 1976 Cobra II, and has most of the original interior. The back seats were pulled so it could be tubbed and a roll cage installed, and minus some gauges it's all original. The drivers seat even has a small tear in it. It has a swapped in and centered 351 Windsor stroked to a 393 with an Edelbrock Victor Jr. top end kit on it. MSD ignition etc. The ad from ebay has expired and I talked to the new owner.

I have to say I'm completely amazed cars in the Russian museum are so mundane, yet so well maintained. What I'm getting at is that here there's also an automotive museum, yet I'm sure the last time any of the cars were taken care of was when they were still running... you'll see so many of them in a shed, with the tires blown out and standing on pillars. It's quite sad, especially because there are many incredible cars, like Rolls Royce, Studebaker, Cadillac and LaSalles, which belonged to important personalities here.

With that said, the Transportation Museum here is also the meeting place of classic car collectors, and they show their cars in the open areas of the museum on the last Sunday of each month. Here's what I saw the last Sunday in July, which has nothing to do with what's inside the museum:

Here's last weeks videos. I promised to get them up but have been putting it off. I'm uploading them now before I go up to the track tonight, so I'll have even more hopefully. There's always just so much there. Langauge warning for all videos.

My friend Jake racing his dad. He has a older '90s GMC Sierra with a 305 and his dad has a new one.

This was the highlight of the night. This is the Mustang II destroying the Challenger. This is the 7.1 pass.

Mustang II makes another pass at 7.5.

My buddy Jake racing again, but this one got cut off because of my Ipod running out of memory. Shouldn't have an issue this week.

This was another highlight, a snowmobile running 6 seconds down the track and destroyed a utility ATV. Beleive it or now, this 6.1 pass was one of the slowest passes he made that night.

Mustang II making another pass, he messed up a shift. It has a C4 automatic but it has a manual valve body so you can shift it manually without a clutch. My buddy doesn't seem to realise that...

Heres a mid '70s extended cab F250, with a very very very tired motor that was a dog from the factory anyways. Ran like a 12.9

Dodge Viper getting destroyed by a stock 6.0 GTO. With all the hype and power Vipers make I thought for sure it would have one. Wow they are slow.

This was a fun little race, guy raced a racing go cart down the track, that ran a 9.4 against a utility ATV.

This is my buddy with me recording racing his 318 V8 Dodge Truck, against my buddies Corolla. We lost but we got of the line really, really late because he got distracted with the radio haha.

In my buddies Corolla, in line waiting to race my friend in his GMC with my other friend that has the 9 second Grand Prix. Some cool cars and toys in this one.

This is the actual race, we won but that's only because they went to far forward and backed up to stage and we had already staged, so when the light went they were stuck in reverse lol. His truck is faster though. We botched it off the line both races though.

This was the second race, a rematch and we botched it hard off the line again.

That was it for me recording racing, now on to the burnout competition.

I missed the best burnout but the last one was similar to the first.

This one was similar but still not quite the best. This is the same dude though.

That's all, until later tonight!

I don't really want to double post but I want to differentiate tonight from last week.

I didn't really get a lot of pictures, more videos though. =P

First off, this is the 1/8 mile track I go to. The NYS thruway is directly behind it, you can kind of see it.

This was one of the cool cars there but he couldn't run it because tonight was street stuff. Camaro funny car (it was Camaro/Trans Am night tonight). But, it had a GM 454 based 680 cubic inch V8, and can run the 1/4 mile in 6 seconds and 1/8 in 4. It was over 200mph but I can't remember what he said. 235 maybe? IDK.

Here's some videos. More up soon. As always, mild language warning.

This is my friend racing her 2005 Kia crossover with a V6 racing my other friends Pontiac Grand Prix GTP Special Edition with the L67 3800 Supercharged V6. Its front wheel drive. He has 201k miles on it so power is down a bit, but when new power was estimated at 240hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. He runs low 10s consistently and has hit 9s before.

1977 or 1978 Trans Am making a pass. Got off the line late. Just barely got this video, almost missed it. I was too busy eating

This was a 4.6L New Edge Mustang, not a Cobra IIRC. It was turbo'ed, though I'm not sure how many where on it. I'm assuming only one. You could hear the blow off valve in the video, it was awesome lol. He made quite a few passes, and has been here before. This is the fastest I've seen it, usually he has trouble driving it. This car had slicks tonight. This particular one he ran an 8.3, which is a 12 in the 1/4 mile. Very respectable.

This was an Ecoboost F-150 racing a Duramax Diesel Chevy truck. The Ecoboost had no chance.

2 stroke quad set up for drag racing, with full DOT slicks. Should have asked him how he got ahold of them, DOT street slicks for ATVs are tough to find.

Race 2 of the Kia vs Grand Prix. We ran even slower this time, 12s

I rode with her as she raced my other friend, and my sister rode with him.

After the race....the aftermath

This was some randoms I recorded while waiting for a friend to run. I'm not sure what the cars were as it was tough to see. I want to say the winner was some type of Lexus. Can anyone confirm this?

Another random...I want to say this was a Camaro or some type of GM but again...not sure. Pretty sure he raced a Crown Vic. I wasn't really paying attention to the race as my friend was lining up. That was the next race.

This is the race I was waiting for, my buddy in is L67 SC GTP Grand Prix. He was racing some Mazda Hatchback/Wagon...can anyone identify it? I saw it when he asked the guy to race but it didn't register.

The Kia against an F-body Camaro...

In her defense the Kia was fully loaded but even still she had no chance

This car is here every week, he ran a bit slow tonight though. IT's a 302 SN-95 Mustang, vs I think a BMW.

2 sets of motorcycles, 7s and 9s, some 6s and 5s tonight though.

Another pair of motorcycles. Last set I took. The burnout competition was a bunch of BS tonight.

This was it for the burnout competition, only one truck. And a pathetic one from last week. Bunch of BS.

Well, that was it for tonight. Friday hopefully we will be heading up to the 1/4 mile track and maybe I'll get some good stuff there. Next week tonight will be on Tuesday night.

Have been waiting 9 months for good lighting for shooting a few at the local dealership... may have gotten impatient. Dewpoint has been around 72 for the past week, and temps were dropping tonight so it was getting hazy. Really wanted a light snow or true fog before I tried some shots here but oh well.

Alright, I decided to go on a short adventure today and see if I could find any good car spots. I felt a bit ambitious and well; it sure has paid off.

First, I went to this old Honda Dealership where it isn't used to sell cars anymore; it's basically used for storing any cars they couldn't fit in the new dealership. My dad and I drove by it yesterday and I thought I saw some interesting, classic cars in it. Well, I'm really glad I went today.

First, the AP2 Honda S2000 in yellow.

Pretty sure your unknown is a Z Act. Very cool!

Yup, you're right. Cool, that explains why it looked familiar.

EDIT: I'm now going to post some cars from other car shows a few months back, because they have some cars that standed out for me and some other showroom pictures.

There's a porsche and audi dealership that are located within a 10 minute drive from my house. I every so often will go there to look at the cars.
