I'll be uploading videos and pictures here in a moment, but what a freaking NIGHT!!! They moved out regular street class drags to tonight because of an event going on tomorrow, so they mixed in mini Top Fuel cars, that were driven by 10 year olds using 4 stroke ATV motors, they ran 7s and up. Test and tune, bracket racing and dial ins were also being run since it's normally a test and tune run, parachuted cars, lots of wheelstands, just insane!
I'll be posting videos and pics in this thread as they upload so keep eyes on it! =P
Here's the photos first.
Mini Top Fuel cars....these were run by 10 year olds or so. They run 6-7s at fastest, others run into the 12s. Really awesome. A few friends of mine and myself are planning to build one for the fun of it.
Camaro...this never ran down the track as far as I know. Tape on the back to stop burnt rubber from ruining the paint.
383 Nova. Small block car. Got this on video A LOT.
Camaro. Couple times he let off, one pass he went WOT. Track was STICKY.
Big/small block Mustangs. Unsure of the motors. Should have asked. One of them did a wheelstand. Got it on video.
^^^What the heck kind of motor is in the one Mustang that has the distributor cap sideways?????????????
Mustang II was back. Raced pretty decently but wasn't the fastest tonight. Did see him pull a 6. Got in on video.
Camaro again.
F-Body Camaro.
For all you Mitsubishi fans... I took this thinking of GTP. I had 2....must be it got deleted.
C6 Vette....LS2 Motor. Had a few rough passes. I talked to the guy driving it, it was a friends car. He owns a Camaro. I have this car making a pass on video, that shall be up later.
Ford 980 Fire Truck. This is there every week. Pretty cool if you ask me, not every day you see these anymore.
Lots of videos soon. They will probably be up either tomorrow or the day after. I have nearly 40 minutes of extreme racing and footage. It's taken almost 5/6 hours just uploading to Facebook and it's not even close to being done yet.
EDIT:
Last video is currently uploading to Facebook. No idea when they will all be on YouTube. Hopefully soon. As always language warning in all videos.
Edit:
Be sure to watch all videos in HD!!!!
Alright, lets start with something light. Chevy Cavalier races an unknown to me import, followed by a stock 1000cc snowmobile converted to road use making a pass. Can anyone identify the unknown import? I see it there frequently but I've been unable to identify it.
This is that same Mustang II I've been posting a lot on the forums lately, dialed in against a Toyota Tundra. The Mustang ended up winning (only just, because of it being a dail in). Still was a pretty cool race though.
This next race was I presume a moderately built small block V8 in a early 1970s Dodge Dart against a late 1990's Pontiac Trans Am. These two were constantly going at it all night, although there was another similar looking Camaro and Trans Am that were also racing against it, as well as racing against themselves. More on that shortly.
This race is just a solo pass of the Mustang II. Nothing too special.
This is an interesting video, one of the standouts of the night, as far as stuff breaking. Even though there were some odd moments all night, Mustang engines quit, a Chevy Nova made a scene, and a snowmobile quit, this was probably the worst of the break downs. Anyways in this video, an SN95 Mustang takes on a short bed Chevy Silverado, which blows up something. It did drive out later though, so it couldn't have been all that bad. Sparks or not.
This is another solo pass, only this time it's a late 1990's, early 2000's Chevy Camaro. The video above was taken just moments before this pass was made.
Next up: Ford Mustang II vs a late '90's Chevy Camaro. Mustang got treed pretty good here.
These next 2 cars were going crazy all night long. Lots of passes, lots of videos of them. Anyways it's a 1950s Bel Air up against the 383 Chevy Nova I posted as a picture above. The Nova popped a small wheelie off the line, but it did that most of the night. Still cool though.
This video is pretty neat. It's a bunch of 10 year olds racing in Jr. Dragsters. They are like miniature top fuel cars! They can run into the 7 second range, but most run between 8's and 11's. The slowest one ran a 12. Which is still pretty quick for one of those. I couldn't believe how little some of these kids were.
This video features 2 races. The first race was a Fox Body Mustang against a Pontiac Trans Am, and a 1950s Chevy Bel Air against a Camaro V6. Because that was a fair race. *facepalm*
This video is of that C6 Corvette with the LS2 V8. It got beat, by I think a Silvia. Regardless of what it was, it was turbo'd and pretty cool. Can anyone identify it?
Here is the first of quite a few sets of races. In order:
1. Dodge Dart vs Pontiac Trans Am
2. Chevrolet Camaro V6 vs Chevrolet Silverado V8
3. Ford Mustang (Fox Body) Solo Race
This next one is a bit interesting. The infamous Chevy Nova takes to the track, and then breaks down and stalls out about halfway. Following that, a nasty race between a '90s Camaro and '90s Trans Am takes place. That was a common sight as well.
Here's another small set of races. Big sets will come later (5-6 races per video).
1. Ford Mustang II Solo Race
2. Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 vs Buick Grand National
3. Ford Mustang (Fox Body) Solo Pass
This one is just a couple of street Fox Mustangs racing; dial in pass.
Another small set.
1. Pontiac Trans Am vs Ford Mustang (Fox Body)
2. Turbo Motorcylces
3. Pontiac Trans Am Solo Race
Jr. Dragsters at it again. These things are so cool!
Another set of Jr. Dragsters. One of these ran an 8.4 @ 75mph. I've seen a bit faster but this was cool.
This one has the Mustang II against a Fox Body Mustang, and a Toyota Tundra against a Camaro V6.
Quite the video here...."That's a death machine!!" -My friend
This was an N/A Fox Body Mustang that races solo, and does a wheel stand, lets off the gas, and pulls the parachute after a 5.26 second pass @ 125mph. Then another crazy Fox Body Mustang gets off the line stupid late, and the motor then dies and he still manages to make a 6.1 second pass only giving it throttle 1/4 way down the track. Following that a '70s/'80s Camaro makes a solo pass and a Chevy Nova does a small wheelie and makes a 6.8 second pass.
Up next was a very, very, very tired C3 Corvette against a GMC Sierra. After that race, a Dodge Caravan (aka soccer mom van) took on a Pontiac G6.
This video is an awesome one. The Mustang II makes it's fastest pass that I've seen yet at 6.65 seconds, against a V6 Camaro. Who lined that up, dial in or not??
After that another dial in takes place, with a GMC Sonoma (not an S10 like I originally thought) racing a Fox Body Mustang. Later a newer, possibly R35 Nissan GT-R gets beat by a Trans Am, despite the Trans Am having engine issues halfway down the track, and earlier in the night got SPANKED by a Buick Grand National. Yes, you read that right.
Races:
1. Ford Mustang II vs Chevy Camaro V6
2. Ford Mustang (Fox Body) vs GMC Sonoma
3. Ford Mustang (Fox Body) vs Dodge Dart
4. Ford Mustang (Fox Body) vs Import (Can anyone tell me what this car is?)
5. Nissan GT-R (R35?) vs Pontiac Trans Am - Trans Am Wins
6. Ford Mustang (Fox Body) vs Unknown BMW and DEMOLISHES it. Anyone know what BMW this is?
Here is a good size set, one of the first of several to come
1. Dodge Dart vs Pontiac Trans Am
2. Snowmobile Solo Race
3. Ford Mustang (Fox Body) vs Chevy Camaro V6
4. Chevy Bel Air vs Chevy Silverado
5. Pontiac G6 Solo Race
6. Chevy Nova vs Chevy F-Body Camaro (Yes it was a Nova, not a Chevelle. Duh)
Small set:
1. Snowmobile Solo Race
2. Pontiac Trans Am vs Ford Mustang (Fox Body)
3. Ford Mustang (Fox Body) vs Supercharger S197 Mustang
This video has some pretty awesome stuff in it. Races:
1. Pontiac Trans Am vs GMC Sonoma
2. Dodge Dart vs Mitsubishi Eclipse
3. Buick Grand National vs Nissan GT-R (R35?)...Buick wins
4. Chevy Nova vs Pontiac G6
This was an interesting event. First down was a turbo'd big block (Ithink) Fox Body, though something happened about half way. After that, another big block Fox Body flew down the track, with flames roaring out of the exhaust pipes then let off the gas about halfway. He then got on it again and the back end kicked out so hard he almost hit the barrier. On top of that he still managed a 7.9m even though he was a 4-5 second car.
Here is a another set of races.
1. White Buick Grand National vs Chevy Nova
2. Pontiac Trans Am Solo Race
3. Snowmobile Solo Race...and breaks something halfway
4. Chevy Camaro V6 vs '90s Camaro V8...V8 Camaro ran a 6.3 @ 111mph
5. Ford Mustang (Fox Body) Solo Race....makes a pass @ 8.3 seconds on street tires.
Last video.
1. Saturn Sky vs an Import
2. Pontiac Grand Prix GTP vs Riced Out Eclipse
3. Ford Mustang V6 vs Civic?
That's all she wrote folks!
