Does anyone know what the deal is with this ranchero?

I shat a brick when I saw this:

Im a little confused on weather or not they really made one of these, or someone took a "500" badgefrom something else and put it on there

Same idea as say... A Fairlane 500. Just a trim level. I believe that would be a very high trim level, and it probably has a big block of some sort weighing the front down. Possibly a 428 or 429.

For a while the 500 was the most basic trim level, but I don't know too much about the vehicle.

I saw the same Acura TL Type-S for the second time today. I'm so pissed that I didn't have my real camera, as it was beautiful. I'd waste the time trying to upload the pictures, but my dad's cameraphone is crap... and I don't have time... Sorry.

But really, dark carbon gray with the Type S trim, at 4 in the morning when the sun is rising but it is still dark, in front of lit red Chinese New Year's lanterns on top of a mountain in California... that car was teh sex.

I've changed my mind. I'll try to upload the pictures.

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!!

Saw an '06 Viper, blue with white stripes on Wednesday.

With all of its body panels torn off :ouch: I asked the guy at the collision center and he said the owner spun it on a wet road and tore all the panels off on the guardrails. It had 1216 miles on it if I remember correctly.

Noticed too that the rear bumper is composed of bicycle helmet grade Styrofoam. Oh why Dodge, why? Aluminum would have been better.

Would have been a great time to have a camera phone :grumpy:

If you ever do take notice. It's really odd what's under the bumper. The plastic bumper portion is just for style - the function bit under the bumper is disgusting but, indeed, functional. It's quite interesting.

I asked the man there and he said that it's a lot more effective than metal bumpers too because they're very lightweight and easy to fix too if they get ruined. Strange, but still great idea.

<lots of very impressive photos>

Wow. Totally forgot the CCX is topless. The other stuff pales in comparison. Where is Puerto Banus? By the way, very nice layout of the photos. 👍

That's the "S" from a "Corolla S":

It looks so aftermarket, it had me fooled. Had to look through Infiniti's gallery to see if they really did that.

M5Power

The hood ornament looks like a 30's Cadillac, but the grille looks like it's from a same-era Duesenberg. There's dozen's of high-end manufacturers from that era that don't exist any more, and I'm really not up on my chrome-age cars. Do you have a better image of the hood ornament? Those are pretty distinctive, and could at least help narrow it down.

Beautiful. 👍

W00t!

Puerto Banus is the marina area of Marbella, Spain. Marbella's for the rich - Puerto Banus is for the crazy rich. It's on the Mediterranean coast:

Indeed but alas that's the only photo I've got. I only photographed the car because it looked interesting and I thought someone here might be interested; I'm not big into cars before 1980 as everyone is aware.

Beautiful. 👍

I'll get a better shot next week; I see one weekly. In fact I saw two on Saturday, but the other one was driving so fast I couldn't get a shot. I didn't even try. They're good cars; very rare.

Yeah. The closes thing I could find was the 34' 452D fleet wood sedan:

Nice looking car:tup:

Today was a good day,
I saw two Almera GTi's, A silver Aston Martin Vanquish, Merc CLS AMG and a stunning Merc SL65 AMG in a car park.

The best feature was the sexy wheels and huge disks, the picture doesn't do it justice.

They're incredible, aren't they? The wheels show the discs perfectly too - it's one of the best OEM wheel/brake combinations in existence.

not even I saw a 65 in marbella!

Marbella's not the place to see them - 65s go for so much money and yet show off so little that the only people buying them are interested in subtle wealth - the exact opposite of Marbella. Fortunately, that's what Denver's all about; I've seen seven or eight SL65s in Colorado plus a CL65 and four or five S65s. I've also seen two or three examples of each SL and S plus one CL here in Atlanta. Very cool cars - 604 horsepower and 738 pound-feet; I'll let those numbers do the talking.

I have always liked that particular set of wheels on the SL65. The gunmetal is a great color and a color more manufacturers should use on wheels.

I could broaden it up then:
R230 SL Class = Best Mercedes ever made.

I know I won't get anyone to agree to this, but in my view, the best Mercedes ever is this one:

That's only because it fits my tastes perfectly though. I love the SL, but I hate the prices. It's worth a lot, but not what they charge. Unfortunately, the buying public appears to disagree, since it's continually one of the vehicles with the highest resale value in the US.
