I'd take one out for a drive. It's so cool!
Agreed đź‘Ť
They really should have found some kind of small block V8 to put in the thing instead of the V6 they put into it. The engine really does not back up the looks of the car and the point of the car existing. Had Chrysler put a V8 in it, I think it probably would have had more success.

Sadly, the 4.7 V8 they had in the Grand Cherokee fit, too.

(Howler Concept had a 4.7 V8)

The most power that engine ever put out was 265, and surely the added weight would've counteracted the 12 horsepower advantage it would've given the Prowler.

It made that peak power 1,500 rpm lower, though. And 50 more ft-lbs 500 rpm lower. I just think the torquier truck engine would have fit the T-bucket styling vibe better.

It may or may not have been faster, though, but we'll never know now!

I also think Chrysler could have given the motor a little Mopar power and tuned it for more power. They probably could have also done some other stuff to it also to make it lighter since it would not need to be as beefy because of hauling less weight around.

Toyota Mark II Blit (cute plate) - Bad photo, but I bet you've never seen one... ;P

That's a Mark II wagon? Cool, I never knew such a beast existed, let alone seen one. Do you know if Toyota made a fast version of that wagon with 1JZ powah?

Yup it's lurking inside! That's why I took the photo...

Can't wait to see them - get anything crazy special? Puerto Banus is up there in the top five car spotting places in the world - my number four.

Agreed.
The only thing that ever really held back the Prowler was its 4 speed slushbox. Had it had a 5 speed stick it might have been capable of NSX level speeds, or at the very least S2000 level.

Yeah, that's true, I forgot about the weak transmission. But given the projected market (old people) I kind of agree with the decision to give it the auto - at least it had AutoStick. Plus if I recall correctly one of the stipulations about the car was that all the internals had to be parts bin because the cost to develop the exterior was so high that they couldn't spend much under the skin.

But Chrysler had a 5 speed (out of the Stratus) that went with that engine, they just didn't seem to care enough to use it.

What's an E50?

No - no R129 AMG model was sold in the States. An SL60 was also made, supposedly.

Source: http://www.mercedes-amg.com/

E50: 1991, 4,793cc V8, 10:1 compression, 347 HP
E60/SL60: 1991, 4,793 cc V8, 11:1 compression, 381 HP

Lots of neat stuff on that site, as expected, but no info on when or exactly where it was sold. For example, Wikipedia claims the E50 was sold in 1997....

M5Power
'92-'96 Camry with aftermarket landau roof.

It's strange, but ever since we posted a few modern-era landau cars, I have yet to see a "true" landau, like this:

Ugly as sin, but at least the landau top fits...sort of.

The target market was right, but the end result was wrong. Just look at all the drivers of real hot rods: 45+, white, male, owns at least one other muscle car. I think Chrysler's head just wasn't in the right place when it executed this concept. Had Chrysler done this now, it'd have the 425HP Hemi, a decent 5-speed manumatic or 6-speed manual, the rest could be exactly the same, and it would outsell the Viper instantly. Right car, right company, wrong time.

Definitely accurate.

Very good assessment! đź‘Ť

Well today I saw a STS-V in black, first one I have seen. I also saw a VW GTi, the newest generation, and also a first.

modified gallardo in glasgow city centre.gallardos are pretty common so when i first seen it didnt really think much of it,but then he reved it when pulling out from behind a bus and it didnt sound like any standard gallardo ive heard  it flat out through some streets and the sound was being amplifed of the buildings lik it was in a tunnel

today I sawe 2 rolls royces, 2 bentley arnages, one bentley azure, to f430s, two gallardos(one being a Hamann) and countless AMGS

the craziest thing ive seen so far is an old bugatti, and i mean OLD!

hopeing for more tomorrow!

Thats a 2.5 RS for all of the non-Subaru people out there. There is about 2 other ones in my town (the rest are rice-rocket WRX's with coffee can amplifiers for "mufflers") I posted a picture a while back of a 2.2L NA one that was white. The 2.5 is a good car IMO, but lacks power in the high end.

Other than that, its been a slow....uh past couple of months since ive seen something worth taking a picture of. My town sucks.....

Where are you located?

I saw it in Norman, Oklahoma just north of The University of Oklahoma near Campus Corner. I cannot get much more specific than that because I do not know which street it was on . . . well I know where the street is, but not the name. It was amazingly cold here yesterday. It was around 20 degrees F with a very cold north wind blowing very near, if not, 30 MPH for the entire day.

Hell yeah I am a Sooner! I am Sooner Born, Sooner Bred, and when I die I'll be Sooner Dead! (Had to throw out part of the fight song there.) And down'em horns!

You have no idea what?

And I am currently a junior on schedule to graduate next year . . . assuming I pass everything between now and the next two semesters. I have yet to not pass anything yet though, so hopefully that will hold up.

Last night when I was on my way to class I saw 2 Porches right next to each other one was a 911 Turbo the other was a Cayman both where black and no they where not going the same place, it just that at the light they happened to be next to each other. Then at the same intersection I saw 2 Chrysler 300C's next to each other. I thought it was a little odd to have two sets of two cars at the same intersection.

I saw my first ever Countach in Puerto Banus - a LP5000 in white with the rear spoiler and on Swiss plates đź‘Ť I must have been 6 or 7 at the time. PB is a great location for spotting exotics. Must be something about mediterranean ports that attracts Lambos, i saw my first LM002 at St Tropez outside a boat factory that specialised in Lambo V12 powered powerboats.
