VERY good spot - never seen one to this day. A definite +rep - I think we do have some more of those in this thread, but two at the very most (in 5,200 posts). And two might be generous. Thanks for sharing - California seems to be the only place where these things exist!
Ultimatecarpage.comProduction of the steaply priced Mangusta lasted just two years, with 276 cars completed. Of these 276, just 18 were allocated to Europe, of which the featured s/n '051' is one. The Mangusta rights were sold once more, this time to MG/Rover, forming the base of the MG XPower SV supercar.
Nice spot on the S3 - those are not sold in the states, but perhaps so in Canada. And I absolutely love his license plate - another Audi owner who shares the love of automatic transmissions.
Audi has stated the S3 will not be sold in North/South America. Reasons range from pricing and competition with the Volkswagen Golf R32 and/or stealing sales from the new Audi TT and due to cost effectiveness in the North American market.
So i wonder how this car got here. On a closer look, the front grill was made for euro plates
Our city has a bunch of them, but again, black with no light bar. I'm surprised it took so long for your city to get them, considering all the cars you see daily.
This is the first Charger police car I've seen, and it looks positively mean.
I've also spotted AA-22, which was issued on January 1, 1977 and is still on the road, and 001-AAA, which was the first plate of Colorado's current design, though I saw that one way back in 2001, predating my digital camera.
My own spots were interesting, though exotic cars weren't out in force today.
For one:
This is the first Charger police car I've seen, and it looks positively mean. Out of the city of Centennial, Colorado, about five miles south of Denver and one town over from where my Audi gets serviced.
I'm surprised it took so long for your city to get them, considering all the cars you see daily.
Joey DHell Auburn Hills, the city I used to work for had Charger and Magnum police cars a long time ago,
I just figured a city like that would buy new police cars as soon as they came out.Because the number of exotics you see daily has something to do with how long it takes to get Chargers on the police force?
Confiscated drug car?
They usually go hand in hand.I believe it was a confiscated street-racing car.
M5PowerNow the Colorado State Patrol is a bit different...
Colo Subie STi Squad car
I remember hearing at those years ago, first time I've seen a pic of one though. I thought they purchased them to deal with the mountains at times, though that was just hear say. Too bad one of the cars they go was an MR2... though not sure if its a turbo. What is Colorado's policy on cars involved in street racing?
Any chance you could upload them?
On the jurisdiction matter, they could probably just radio in the force that has jurisdiction. Then they would just engage and hold the suspects till local enforcement arrived.
Oh my, that's one pretty looking car.
davygravyA jolly good bit of sarcasism there.
