Anyways, i was having a bad day today and managed to bash into the back of a pickup truck and do some damage to my car. the pickup then proceeded to drive off without stopping to take details :grumpy:
Whilst driving to get the damage looked at i saw a couple of nice cars but couldnt really care for pics because i was not a happy bunny at the time

what already? didnt you only get it the other day, sorry not something to really laugh about but it is french maybe he didnt know you hit him :P

Today i saw this cars:
BMW 730 D.
Saab 95 3.0 TD Wagon.
Audi A6 2.7 TDI Wagon.
Jaguar S Type.(black)
Volvo S80 D5.
Alfa 159 1.9 JTDI.
BMW X3.
Mercedes 220 CDI.

Nice spots harry. 👍

As I mentioned before, Lime Green is the 2007 color this year for the Daytonas. And by what you've said, they're selling in full force in Vegas.

EDIT* Well, I'll go ahead and post this since I doubt any of us will actually see this just driving down our roads, lol.

Boardwalk's new F430 GT. I'm hoping they're planning to do some ALMS action with it. Do a little 1-on-1 with Risi from Houston. ;) :D

I've never seen an original mini cooper before.

A guy down the street from my Father restores them, so we've got quite a few of the old ones floating around in Grand Rapids. My Grandpa nearly bought one for the heck of it (it was BR Green), but decided not to after sitting in it.

...Speaking of Minis...

I was having a discussion with a fellow member about how many Minis there were in Grand Rapids, and what kind of market it is. Anyway, thinking of that, I snapped this photo on the way to work...

I see the convertibles less frequently than the hatches, but it was an S no less, which is even less likely than the 'regular' convertible around here.

Its a Pontiac G6 with manufacturer plates, which leads me to several conclusions:

1) Its on a test-drive from Lake Orion for some reason, but I don't know why it would be in Grand Rapids.

2) Its a test-car for a new engine/transmission combination in the G6, presumably the LY7 and the six-speed automatic.

3) It could be a test-model for the upcoming G6 update before the switch to Alpha. Although, you'd think it would involve more cammo...

Shot of the Weekend

Mustang SVO. The odd turbocharged four-pot 'Stang was an odd option to the 'regular' V8 GT, but of course, it was the precursor to the later SVT Cobra models. I still think they're cool, and of course, they are a rare find indeed.

BTW: Thats the same corner I spotted the old Jaguar E-Type on a few weeks ago, not to mention a few others that I wasn't able to take photos of. I need to head back into Cascade more often...

My Audi came back from the shop yesterday washed and ready to go. All I wanted to do today was take some photos of it in some nice locations around town. But other cars kept getting in the way! For example - I started off in front of a lovely home in my neighborhood which I thought would be a great backdrop for the Audi's rounded edges. But then this happened:

Dammit! I decided I couldn't get a decent shot in my neighborhood without some other car messing it up, so I went down to the shopping district. I parked it in a spot and crossed the street for a photo:

Darn those other cars, ruining my perfectly good pictures. I decided to move down the block a bit, hoping that a different perspective would change things a bit:

Unfortunately, clearly, they did not. However I decided that across the street it would surely be better, as I would be closer to my car and more able to focus on its beautiful lines. But I was unable to, as this occurred instead:

Dammit - all I wanted was some photos of my new car - why can't those other cars leave me alone!

:D

countach is more of a wedge shape, diablo is more a modern shape with circular lights inside a red shape. the countachs rear lights are more blocky all together and do not have circular shapes in them.

the countach can have a large arrow shaped spoiler aswell.

what already? didnt you only get it the other day, sorry not something to really laugh about but it is french maybe he didnt know you hit him :P

Yeah i know, since i got this car ive been jinxed by it, last sunday i hit a girl off her moped and have to pay for some light damage to that too. My moneys running out quick! :( Its not as if im not a careful driver, probably even more careful since i got my new car, its just all the morons came out onto the roads to **** me up :grumpy:

What I meant was, a clarification of the 10 or more Ferraris in that picture...

I don't know if you understood what you were told or not, but the black car in Doug's last two pictures is a Diablo.

For reference, here is a picture of the Diablo.
Lamborghini Diablo

And here is a picture of a Countach.
Lamborghini Countach

As for the Ferraris, in the pictures, the first picture has a F430 Spider and the next three have a 348 in them.

Now, for a guy who barely tells apart a Countach from a Diablo, would you might telling which is which?

Sure.

This bad boy:

...is a Ferrari 348gts (or a Ferrari 348ts - it's impossible to tell). Either way, it's a Ferrari 348.

This guy:

f430_spider-060207-6.jpg

...is a Ferrari F430 Spider. I also saw another one of those yesterday:

And this thing:

diablo-060207-5.jpg

Is a Lamborghini Diablo VT Roadster. Behind it is a Mercedes SL65 AMG.

All in all, it was a pretty damn good day spotting, considering three Ferraris and a Lamborghini Diablo, particularly since I was able to get that great photo of the Diablo, the 348, and my car...

That's one I'll cherish for a long time (it's presently my desktop background).

Doug did you notice that the Ferrari F430 is nearly the same shade of red as your little audi? Plus rep for those shots though, they are pretty amazing.

I saw a very odd looking big pick up truck, white. It was brand new. When I looked at the license plate, I was surprised to see it was an American. Must be expensive to transport your truck from the US to Europe (Belgium in this case).

Any idea on what kind? I would guess a new Ford Superduty since they look quite odd.

No, that wasn't it. It looked Japanese. The body was angular (don't know it this is the correct word).

It had a small "loading space".

Why do lambo owners always part with their wheels turned into the curb?

It makes them look more dramatic. This is the only Diablo I've seen in the last two years (though I spotted it on November 25, 2006 as well - some of you may remember that spot) and he was parked very similarly that time too. (in fact, just a block from where he was parked this time, six and a half months later!).

Indeed - the only reason I took the photo in the first place.

Folks, an incredible spot today:

That's going to be a 1967-1971 Ferrari 365 GT 2+2. Only 800 were manufactured over those years. An incredibly rare, incredibly cool spot. Coincidentally, I was on my way to a local Ferrari show at the time of this spot (photos to come in a dedicated thread) however the spot was 15 miles from the show. I got to the show and expected that vehicle to eventually show up, but it never did. Behind it was a Ferrari 348ts, allowing for a lovely photo op:

And a dedicated shot of the 348ts:

Coming back from the show, I caught this:

db9_volante-060307.jpg

Brand new plates - registered last week. A good-looking automobile as always, but too common - my 22nd DB9 spot (and 12th Volante) since my first sighting just over two years ago.

Good spot on that Ferrari Doug!

I saw 1960 250 at the show yesterday, and I didn't realize I hadn't posted it.
It's a show, but heh, it's an old-school Ferrari.

This thing was a beaut.
