I saw something very odd out up the seafront tonight, but since it was dark and my camera phone is practically useless in the dark i decided not to take a pic, however i will explain.

When i was walking up to it it was apparent that it was a range rover, not a new one, from what i can gather it was originally a mk1 2-door.
Ive re-created it how it looked in photshop and if i see it in daylight i'll be sure to take a snap and talk to the owner.

heres my crappy attempt at photoshopping it to look like what i saw

basically that but 1000 times cooler, and it sounded like it had tghe V8 powerplant too

Looks like that lady was getting in/out of the 365. Did you get a chance to talk to her about the car?

A man she was with was driving it; I spoke to no one about it.

bennyrrr
Saw this in the Wal Mart parking lot with my friend. Sweet NSX.

Great spot - one of the rare '02-'05 NSXs. I've only seen two in my life - thanks so much for the photos! 👍

These were from yesterday...

An E24 6 Series, I don't see to many of these, but the best thing about this car is the name of the city in which it was built...Dingolfing, Germany .

I bet this guy owns a Porsche based on the way he parks.

You have to keep in mind that he's been working on that thing for the past 15 years to get it into that shape, so he doesn't want anything near it.

Good point - he's been backing into stuff and adding primer and welding together parts from various vehicles for fifteen years to make it look like that.

EDIT: by the way,

Thread here.

^^^That's a sweet red Pontiac!!! :dopey:

While taking pictures at some point someone realized the vehicles next to it were going to end up in all the photos that we would look back on for years to come.

Needless to say, we were not pleased.

I had no pictures of this but it had to be the most beautiful car transporter ever. I was in Chili's and randomly I decided to look outside the window behind me to look at the road and I see a car transporter turning right onto the street that was parralel with the window and I saw at least: 1 '70 Challenger R/T 1 '70 Challenger R/T Convertible 1 '70 Hemi Cuda 1 '70 Hemi Cuda Convertible

Regardless the cars are beautiful but arent the convertible hemicudas the ones that sell for millions on barret jackson? My jaw just dropped basically...

It's not ever parked so someone can't park next to him, it's just a crappy park job in a single spot.

Not directed at you specificly Mclaren but why do people always quote a bunch of pictures, especially when the one who posted them ins one post above yours? It serves no purpose whatsoever and its really annoying because it stretches the whole page and makes scrolling more time consuming.

If there is a legitimate reason as to why people do this, then please let me know. This isnt a GTP problem as i notice people do it on other boards.

well put it this way i was told "nicely" not to take a picture  theres a red one been doing the round for the dealers in central scotland i think at the mo its been seen a few times

Ah, I see.

You should have said, "Well, ok." Then, when they weren't looking, turn around, take the picture, and run away laughing. They'd consider you crazy, so you'd be free to get away. :sly:

Or, that's what I would have done.

So the Hemi Cuda convertible was nothing special?

Not without a pic! :D

Tell them to shove off - anything in public domain may be legally photographed no matter how nicely you're asked. Good spots by the way. 👍

True, but I mean, it is common courtesy to accept someone's request not to take a picture of their car if they ask in a nice manner.

Ferrari of Dallas asked me not to take pictures of the cars' plates when they first opened, and I accepted that.

Agreed, I just take a picture of whatever. If it's in someones driveway or garage I tend to feel iffy about it unless I ask.

I'd oblige in most cases, but if it was an incredible car I'd tell whomever asked me to mind his own business.

Even if it was the owner?

You have to know when to fold 'em Doug since an owner does have the right to call police if he doesn't want someone photographing his vehicle. Trust me, I've been in the situation photographing a 996 GT3 outside a parking garage when the owner apparently found out I was photographing it, and asked security to come and ask me to stop. I did and apologize though the security could have been a tad nicer.

Maybe I haven't been looking hard enough here in Grand Rapids, but I haven't seen one in person yet. I was talking to a guy on GMI the other day about the new VUEs he just got at his dealer, and I'm extremely impressed based on the photographs I've seen. Plenty of room up front and out back, a huge jump in quality compared to the first model (check the soft-touch plastics, etc), and overall a better-looking vehicle IMO.

...The only thing I was disappointed in was the new EPA figures, which had the 2.4L model with the four-speed automatic getting 19 in the city and 29 on the highway. So, you'd probably be lucky to average 25 overall...

To the first question, it depends on the circumstances. Do note that I would never photograph a vehicle on private property without asking first. To the second point, he does not have that right - if a vehicle is in public where it can be seen by the public, the owner cannot stop you from standing in public and taking a photograph of it, as you would any other object in public. He can get mad, move the car, or threaten you, but the police would be unable to assist him in anything to get you to cease photographing it.

I have been photographing cars for over two years now and have had just one minor confrontation - I was asked by mall security on mall property not to photograph a Lamborghini, and I obliged. I would probably never become confrontational, but under the right circumstances I may.

Interesting color lip on those wheels.

I thought so.

I had no idea they were out. I'm sad that they are - I like the outgoing model more than I liked my last girlfriend.

I was eating dinner, come on now. ;) All I need is comfirmation that the Hemi Cuda Convertible is a very rare car and I can at least feel good that I saw a rare car like that. I thought it was an excellent collection of muscle cars alone until saw the Cuda Convertible I said "holy ****!".

All I saw was the side of it then the back of it. But after reading the production numbers it seems all the convertibles (8cyl) were well below 1,000.
