I see this Scooby from time to time, and its one of my favorites. Personally, its my favorite body style of the Impreza, and he has done quite a good job making it look like a 22B. Too bad it doesn't perform like one...

Well, this proves they actually sell in Grand Rapids. You don't see the 'GTI Lux' nearly as often as the MINI, but neither one are very common around here either way.

I have a terrible habbit of posting cars that I think are Good but have just been re-badged. Can someone tell me if this is real, rare and worthy or I've wasted my time again.

The colour is right. It is hard to tell though as there isn't much external difference between the V-Spec and the Nur. I doubt someone would fake it though. Good spot!

That Scooby does really look like a 22b, minus the whole wide body part, and minus the part that it's not a snarling STi.

Did I offend your fandom there?

I see a blue Scooby like that, I usually think 22B. You can thank Gran Turismo for that...

Funny story: Just before I bought my Jetta, there was a Skoobarrru similar to that for sale around the corner form my house. It was a late-model Impreza at the time, this being just after the bug-eyed model debuted. It was a 2.5RS, so nothing to shake a stick at, but it was a nice-colored blue, with gray alloys, a roof rack, and (surprisingly) a high-performance set of all-season tires.

It would have been the perfect car if the owner wasn't a total Skoobarrru snob, overcharging the market value on the car by almost $2000. I probably should have just made a simple offer, but God only knows what the insurance would have been like... But, it would have made one helluva car to have the past few winters...

Even if it happened to be a badge job and I do not think it is (must be the giving the benefit of the doubt in me), it would be a great spot. Having said that, very nice spot! 👍 Wish we had Skylines running around in the US.

I'm fortunate (Or unfortunate sometimes) to live in an area where Skylines rule the world. I probably see 20 a day, and it's far from rare to see R34s GTRs as well. This is about the 10th I've seen, but the first I've shot, and the first Nur version too.

A couple of months ago one of my friends was trying to sell his modified R33 GTS-T to my mum, because she thought it looked 'groovy'....

You know what? I don't think I've ever seen a real R34. I never go to those import shows, races. I've seen the car billion times in games and movies and videos, I feel like I've seen it.

OK, for the first time in this thread, I think I saw something good today. I'm not Doug, so I've never even seen this car before.

Was this even sold in the States?

I don't know on the part if it was sold in the US or not but I'd say it's a nice spot. I personally like the looks of the Renault 5, I really like the rally version in GT4.

As far as the Nur I don't know if it's authentic or not but even if it wasn't it's still a badass looking R34.

Now that is a rare spot a6m5 👍

You hardly ever see them, outside of shows, in the UK or Europe. I very much doubt they were officially sold in the US due to the much tighter emission controls you had over EU ones in the late 70's / early 80's, although the headlights on your car are not standard european items. Perhaps they were sold to the french loving Canadians back in the day and this ones ended up across the border at some point?

I'm quite sure we never got the R5 Turbo, period. I base this on the horrifically terrible reputation Renault had with the R5, the fact that it isn't badged correctly to be an American car (R5's were called the Le Car in America), the fact that we never got any of the other rally cars until the quattro, and that it debuted as Renault was parachuting out of America. Its an incredibly rare spot even in Europe (being a homologation car), and that could be the only one in America.
The fact that it is left hand drive is interesting, but it may be a French market car.

SL65:

Edit: dang, looks like ive been conned, isnt the SL65 equipped with a V12?
From what i can see that thing says V8 Kompressor on the side...

More edit: now im confused, it seems the SL55 has a performance package which adds those little cut outs in the front bumper (See here)

They just had to make things more confusing, i walked around the front of the car so i didnt see the badge on the back...

White GT3 from last night (first I've seen I think)

Mustang (Definately the first one I've seen and I'm sure it must be the only one in Hong Kong) and 360 Modena outside my office window (nice choice of seat colour :yuck:)

Thanks for the comments, guys. Damn it, if I had known how rare it was(even in UK!), I'd taken more pictures! :ouch:

Here's the third and the last one I took of it:
aaaadz9.jpg

It was at a Costco parking lot.

Here is what i've seen in the last week or so

Cayman

Hachi Roku in pretty good condition

Shelby GT500

S4 sedan

S4 cabrio

RS4

Cayenne Turbo (you can tell from the grill)

997 Turbo

993 Turbo (judging from the classic whale tail spoiler and the rims)

Ram SRT-10

Z06

M Coupe

Maserati Spyder

2 po'po's on my tail.

Very rare spot, a6m5 👍

My contribution: some sort of old-school Porsche (says 912 on the back):

I do not doubt you took the pictures. I remember a while back you posting some pictures with your Mini in it, though I think that one was red. How many of them do you own?

That Mustang looks weird.

Looks like a new Elanor, well the wheels and color do at least.

Yesterday I saw an original (I think) Mini Cooper. It was right hand drive and everything, had old English plate mounts (I think the guy drilled holes in the back to mount his plate ) The thing flew by my friend's mom's 5.3 Liter Nissan Titan like we were standing still. It was a nice bright orange, carrot colored.

Last week I went to the DUB custom show in Boston, but I don't have a camera...I did see a Lamborghini Gallardo on the way there though. Awesome sound, even over all the highway noise.

2, although the red one was put in the garage last year and hasn't moved since. The picture with my red Mini in it was taken in 2005.

Plus I, like Doug, just like having my car in exalted company :)

If I remember correctly, Porsche 912's were 4-cylinder 911s.

Ah. Ta!
