All good spots Doug 👍 But whats with the rims on the LP640? They ruin the car.

+1 I hate those rims...

Yes, I saw stuff.

So I'm cruising along back from the Audi dealer ($773 for a new oil pan and oil level sensor) and I notice some people gathered around a car in a turn lane. I strain my neck and look over to find that it's a Rolls-Royce Phantom, black on bottom, silver on top - rumored to belong to rapper T.I. I make some interesting moves and...

I'll take the car to it's left thank you.

I didn't notice that you had to fix the Audi;

Welcome to the wonderful world of VW/Audi parts replacement prices!

Meh R32's... There are 4 of them within walking distance of me. They're just so... boring!

Yeah, Quebec's filling up with them. Maybe 5 years ago they were rare. Now two of my friends have GT-Rs and are getting tired of seeing other people with them, so they're both getting back into doing funny things with S13s.

Did you get a face? Ahh, you probably wouldn't know who it was anyway, you white guy.

From the reflection on the wheels in the 2nd pic it looks as if you used a fill flash..
Whats all this about a painted underbody? Who really cares if it has, only a mechanic will ever see it...

Those rims do leave a lot to be desired, that's for sure. In the top pic, does it look like to anyone else that the driver is giving someone "the finger?" I think I'm just crazy.

If only a mechanic will only see it, what was the point in painting it then?
Oh yeah, because everyone can see it too.

M3 test mule, believe it or not. I live near the oxnard, california facility called the vpc, where all the incoing bmw =s are from. all black. no roundells or badges identifying it as a m3. then the guy came out with his son and then drob=ve away. in person, the car is ****in badass!

Nice spot on the panoz there Doug. I have only ever taken a picture of one that was red, that color seems to pop real nice, the car looks good in it.

Heres that S60R again:

And my highlight of the day, a 2007 Porsche 911:

Excuse the size of the last image, it came out grainy in 800X600

Doesn't change my mind at all on that car, it still looks like a car riding on strawberries and whipped cream.

Nice spots as always chaser_fan 👍

F456GT, Rolls, Supra (Outside my house), V8 Vantage Volante
cars6tv0.jpg

I am surprised though that the owner of the Supra would drive that up to China, as it's probably a thief-magnet. I would also imagine that whoever drives up would probably want to drive in a more... practical car.

Yeah, as I sit here today. Just like any normal day. Bored, I glance over at my parking lot security cameras, and I notice the front end of a familiar car. I just barely caught glimpse, so I wait for a second pass of the camera.

Sure as snot, it was a Lotus Elise. A light blue one parked right next to the smoking-shed. We call it a bus stop for the insane (no smoking indoors.) I waited for the third pass so's I could get a clean shot, but I caught the tail end of it as it sped off down the street outta the parking lot.

Dunno about you guys, but it's the first Lotus I've ever seen in Spokane.

I'll add some pics later on if I can get a good shot. 👍

Edit: This is the best one, but I couldn't save to paint in the program for some reason, so I just saved the whole damn screen. Sorry for the pixellation & smallness.

Lotus

It's a depressing rainy day here. He won't be able to open it up at all 'til later....if it stops raining. :indiff:

Thanks as always!

Most of the HK cars registered for use in China (that then must display the China number plate) are expensive. You're right that most China registered cars are more practical for the family, usually big Mercs, Bimmers and expensive MPVs like the Toyota Alphard and Nissan Elgrand. The people who need a car to take them to China usually drive from Hong Kong directly to their posh (but comparatively cheap compared to HK) new holiday homes in complexes/golf clubs over the border, such as Mission Hills and don't need to worry about security as they're cars are taken care of by security or garaged in their homes.

Also the Supra is pretty worthless here and would maybe attract too much attention to any potential thief. Not something anyone would want to do especially given the potential consequences!

...and you lost me at $38,775.

Under normal circumstances I might agree. But considering the Z is fantastic on a track and you buy it for that purpose--or atleast very spirited everyday driving--that is a price worth paying for primal emotional enjoyment. Also known as "happy pants" among my friends and I. :sly:👍

Doesn't the 350Z have a better 'ring time than the regular C6?

Oh, and on the topic of what I saw today that was good. I didn't get a picture but I finally saw an Altima coupe in person and it looks like a G35 coupe from a distance...which is a good thing. It is a VERY good looking car.

Yeah but...$40,000... I could get a 2 year old XJR for that.

No, but considering its power penalty and similar weight its time (11 seconds slower) was quite good.

I finally saw an Altima coupe in person and it looks like a G35 coupe from a distance.
And then you get closer and it kinda falls apart...

Nice spots harry, especially the silver F430. Very nice color. Would love to see one in person.

Thanks, but I think you're doing just fine...

...case in point.

Its an MGA.

Thanks. 👍

More to decipher:

Chevrolet Blazer K5

I remember someone posted one of these a while ago. Are they rare? I haven't seen too many, I think, but I may be confusing them with non-K5's.

Chevrolet Chevelle SS396

Beautiful condition. Took the photo over the shoulder of someone sitting at a bus stop bench (just out of view; she's literally 2 feet to the right). I should have taken a better picture, but I couldn't quite stop with the person I was walking with.

Chevrolet Malibu MAXX SS
Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS Intimidator

Sort of on a thing to "collect" all the new-era SS cars. I still need the upcoming HHR, but these complete it for now.

Alfa Romeo Giulia

Another situation where I really should have taken a better photo, but just couldn't stop from where I was headed. Too much rushing about these days. Is it a Giulia? It looked great, regardless.

Ferrari 355 Spider

Always a favorite....

Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG

While all AMG's are becoming a bit stale for me, anything '63 still draws me in. Such a wonderful engine. Totally different, but sure to be just as memorable as the CobraJet 427.

MG-Rover ZT-T 260

Diplomat plates explain it's existence in the US. It really does look good, though. Good thing traffic was slow there. Not a super-rare or super-special car or anything, but the fact that it showed up in New York works for me.

ZT 260? That's the one where they said "Why develop a RWD chassis" and kinda just forced Mustang bits in it, right? And then it amazingly came out as a pretty cool car? Speaks volumes for British ingenuity.
