Some okay cars today. Mostly winter beaters, though.

S4 Cabrio. The previous gen. was the nicest car being produced at the time. So perfect. Then they messed it up with this line...

RS6. Sooo nice.

Okay then this monstrosity. Definitely going up in the questionable mods thread.

It was pretty loud, and I also caught it where it parked.

B7 is extremely rare. I've seen just one. Fantastic spot. 👍

Thanks I had my window down this morning (yes it was 38 out) and I heard it next to me. The car is fairly loud I must say and sounds like a pissed off vacuum cleaner.

SRT8. Looks okay. Center exhaust = 👍

Carrera 4. Looks better from the rear.

1968 Camaro SS.
Caged, 4 Speed manual, some sort of big block with a lumpy idle and big pipes. Street Slicks that were about a foot and a half wide, probably more, and skinnies up front. Very powerful. Sounded like a pretty high-comression motor.

He pulled in behind me at a set of lights, and I heard him coming. I eye him up in my mirrors... '68 Camaro, perfect green paint, lowered a bit, hideaways, fairly loud. The light turns green, I give it a bit more gas than normal to get ahead of traffic (I'm already at the front of the line), and get into the slow lane to let him by and get a better look. The Camaro eases by, and I slip in behind. Louder than I thought, and a neat setup - Dual pipes half-cut into the rear panel, about 4" each and centered under the taillights.

We get through the next set of lights (He rev-matches his downshifts), and into some lighter traffic. He opens up a little. Louder yet. Enough so that I can't hear my car. No worries though, this sounds much better :sly:. Traffic clears for the next few kilometers and he opens up more... Effortlessly he hits 145-150 KM/H. Just moderate throttle inputs, definitely not WOT. Slows down to 110ish, and get into more traffic. After the next couple lights, he notices that I'm still behind him and gives me a few notes of WOT... We both get off on the same exit, but I go left and him right. I throw him a thumbs-up on the way past and he acknowledges.
👍

Well, you do get those from time to time...

but not everyday..haha:dopey:

anyways, you are just unlucky...maybe another time.

hopefully :) I was nearly unlucky enough to miss the CCX in marbella last feb, but i will be keeping 12 eyes out for uberkars this time :)

Out driving today looking for cars, and I was headed down a heavily-trafficked road in a very nice neighborhood. I noticed a Lamborghini Countach coming the other way, pulled a handbrake turn, and began freaking out. I've seen one other Countach on the roads before - just over a year ago, here in Atlanta - but I was only able to take one photo. So I was pretty excited.

I'm including nearly every photo I took today because the Countach is such a crazy spot in traffic that it's rare you get photos of it involved with other "normal" cars for comparison. So, for your viewing pleasure...

I looked up the vehicle on LamborghiniRegistry.com, and it turns out it's one of the only carburated Countach QVs in America. I'm not sure how much you guys know about these things, but only twelve to sixteen carburated QV models ever made it to this country and this is one of them. It sounded disgustingly loud. At one point I got pretty far behind it - maybe 200 feet - and I could still hear the engine.

Spectacularly cool. Hope everyone enjoys the photos!

Oh christ.

Today, at work, I saw a genuine, perfectly restored pristine condition 1965 Ford Mustang. Greenish, with those double headlights... Had a Vintage-car plate, and with the serial number confirming the year - sold December 1965. Since I was hauling garbage, it's natural to have no picture :(

Tomorrow I'll post part II, which does have two pictures, unrelated to the '65 Mustang.

can we get a bet going?

how long till doug causes a car crash?

Perhaps in style, but just about all magazine reviews agreed the Countach wasn't exactly a friendly car to drive for a while.

I'm talking about snapping the Countach and how it was a better sight than seeing the Diablo that's roaming around Atlanta eluding our cameras.

I actually prefer the Diablo style over the Countach. I can understand the Countach's styling when it came out though. What a monster.

Oh, well then I would be on the wall since A) I can't really pick 1 car over the other as a better sight, & B) I pretty much love seeing any Lambo. It comes with being a "purist", I suppose.

I saw a Nissan Silva S15 yesterday; it was a dark-silver color. I flashed my headlights at it, since it was going the other way.

...Sorry, no pic.

Now I won't contribute to this thread again for another 6-12 months.

+ For One of my favorite spots in this thread over the last couple months.

+ For some very nice shots considering it was on the move.

+ For the thorough research and sharing it with us!

One thing though... those shots are an ugly reminder how very very very much I dislike that whale tale!
::ouch:👎

Yes... the tail serves a purpose performance wise... but like the LP400, the whole series of LP500 models look soooo much better without a tail wing! Truly one of the most exotic, yet elegant, yet ultra aggressive body styles ever, and truly timeless!

 Nuccio Bertone

If you ever spot an LP400, I'll do my best to be the first in line to +REP you again!

Thanks! And don't hold your breath on that LP400 - I'd put the possibility of seeing one of those lower than a McLaren F1, and I'm being honest.

Oh, I don't know. There just so happens to be a black Countach LP400 on FChat who lives near Denver.

Well this is what i saw today... (at least this time i get to take a photo...)

Ferrari F430

Brabus K4 ( i think)
(sorry for the bad quality. I took the photo with my dad's camera phone... :nervous:)

Well i also saw these cars (but unfortunately didn't get to take a photo of...)
Lamborghini Murcielargo
Ferrari F355
Tuned Mitsubishi Evo 7 (with a huge intercooler)

Saw this downtown last night.

Thanks to my awesome cameraphone, the car is both blurry and black.

It was Blue.
This is the second GT I've seen in Victoria, and I believe this one was in a dealer showroom for a couple months - I went and took a close look at it when it was there.

My first thought was TVR, but I'm wrong. I honestly have no idea, as it appears to be a kit car...

I feel that way about Bentley Continentals, they're still really imposing cars even though I see them all over the place.

As it turns out you are right. The kit car bit, not the TVR :)

It is a Almac Sabre. It appears that the one I photo'd was the first customer car produced. The factory is in Upper Hutt, which is about 15-20mins drive from where I saw the car. I never even new that I lived so close to a small production car factory. Funny.
