Good spots!

I still love the Continental Flying Spur, and that gold color is definitely unique!

...How about that Mitsubishi 'i' car? They still say we may get them in the United States, but 'i' myself (ha ha) am uncertain of it. I'd like to give one a look, just for the sake of it...

I almost bought an i for my wife, but they are terribly plasticy inside and feel very flimsy. They pootle along alright though, and handle better than the Colt.

Speaking of BMW 635's, theres one down my road thats looking more like an M635 to me, the front kidney grille is blacked out, though i never get to see the back of it.
Now gonna go for a walk and have a looksie! =P

edit: nope, just a normal 635csi.
Got an apt plate though 'F635 EAM' :)

Today, an extremely rare Bentley Continental:

Based on the Rolls-Royce Corniche. Only 421 were manufactured.

Also, this cool large Mercedes:

Oh wait...

Damn, I only just realised how big those things are...

Yeah - the picture with my car really shows its huge size. And that's the "short" one. The 62 is, in reality, a limousine. It's only 60 pounds lighter than a Hummer H2, and it's two feet longer than a Chevrolet Suburban.

Yes, I've thought the same when I've seen them up close. They really don't have the build quality of a Smart or a Mini, even the Italian equivalents. Still, the shape is quite refreshing though. It still looks like a concept car.

btw... Are there really 440 people viewing the Cars In General forum at this moment? That seems mad!

The Ralph Lauren/Veyron thread made it onto the front page of Digg... residual effect.

I prefer maybachs. Yes, I'm British but the phantom is too chunky and the drophead looks like a yacht. I've never seen the interior of a phantom but the maybach's is damn comfy!(as you would expect for the extortionate price tag)

I'd have to disagree with you on that one. Having seen Phantoms, Maybachs (too crass), Quattroportes and Flying Spurs all the time, I'd say the Phantom is the daddy (and I'm not just being patriotic). In fact keep 'em all - I'll have an S65 AMG!

Of the two (Maybach vs. Phantom) my choice is unquestionably the Phantom, based simply on styling and residual value. Of course, with the number of Phantoms Rolls-Royce is making, residual value won't be high with either vehicle.

Both are far too 'look at me' for me, though, and for that amount of money, I wouldn't even consider a big sedan.

A well structured point. If I had the money I'd get neither, but wait for the Porsche Panamera or go for a 612 Scaglietti.

Saw a Flying Spur, Jaguar XKR, Aston DB9, and a 550Hp, $90K Saleen Mustang.

The only 2 cars worth mentioning over those were a black 360 Spider, and an absolutely magnificent Rosso Corsa 360 Spider @ AutoFlex. I swear, Rosso Corsa in the sunset is amazing. That 360 Spider was just a blast to experience.

I remember. :) I didn't want to make a big deal out of it, but I knew I wasn't the first person to spot one in this thread... which says something about the group of spotters we have here!

You've got the better pictures, though. But yeah, we have a seriously comitted group of spotters, with just about everything under the sun found in this thread. Cold November rain has shuttered just about everything here. So much for global warming. ;)

I saw a set of OZ F1 Cup Evos the other day. These are pretty rare and have been discontinued for quite some time. I've seen more Ferrari F40s than this set of wheel. I don't want to ruin the nature of this thread, so I will refrain from posting car parts, but still thought it was a noteworthy sighting.

That Civic-R is awesome. I much preffer it to every Civic (maybe ever).
According to 5th Gear's hotlap comparison it was much faster than the Euro model. :ouch:

Just got back from the post office and due to the lack of a camera I couldn't take a picture but... Just got a good look at a coupe "G37S"... I imagine it's pretty much what the GT-R will be built on, maybe a good indicator of what's to come? The G35 was awsome but I'd have to say the G37 looks better. 👍
Can't wait to find out more about the car (hadn't seen one until today).

The GT-R actually has its own platform. Nissan decided it was big enough of a deal to design, build, and manufacture a platform for their new halo car.

Fast-Autos
"The all-new Nissan GT-R uses a Premium Midship package, an all-new, more advanced version Front Midship (FM) package utilized on other Nissan vehicles."

Linky

With that being said, I am sure there are some similarities between it and the platform the G37 is built on.

I got another mixed bag today taking photos for an hour off a bridge between offices. Did an 'interesting' test with Mercedes, got a photo of a car that there are only two of in Hong Kong and took a photo of every Bentley/Rolls/Quattroporte I saw to see just which is winning the popularity vote here. Pics later...
