Well this is what a saw today, no photos to show for it.... :indiff:

A BMW M3 (yawn....)
A Mini Cooper convertible (it was in orange, a very rare color....to me at least) Looks something similar like the photo below, except the stripes were white (like the normal Mini Cooper)

It's called "Hot Orange" and was an exclusive convertible colour in 2005.

959... Up there with the top spots of this thread. Funny, I've been having a feeling that I'd see a 959 soon. Looks like you got there first =)

Not sure if anyone cares as I didn't get a pic (feel free not to believe me)

I saw the my best ever sighting today, I am really kicking myself I didn't have a camera with me.

So amazing (IMO) for the first time ever I follow the guy to a business he was going to and confronted him to have a chat and look over his car.

It was........a

Toyota.......... 2000GT, the only one in Australia according to the owner. It was red with 22,000 original km's looked just like this

except it was RHD obviously and had cup type mirrors down midway on the front fenders/wings and was not so clean.

I complained to him how I wish I had a camera and he said "Oh well you will probably see it around again soon", I will be taking my camera now and hope to see it again. He also told me that there used to be two in Australia but American collectors are buying them up as much as possible and he would never sell it.

Now another interesting thing he told me is he has a 1978 BMW M1! (only two in Australia according to him), which I also hope to catch.

*Edit* I think these cars are coming out of the woodwork due to a classic rally being held this weekend here in Adelaide.

Best spotting for me in this thread!

Oh man, what a beautiful car

Where are those photos taken?

Doesn't look like a dealership but the cars...OMG....the row of porsches and Mercs..

+1

Where did you see them?

OK yes they where at dealerships, With the 959 I had to go to Porsche of Bellevue and pick up a car (996 Turbo) and with the Spyker it was at where I work but it was not one of our cars it was a customer car (the guy who owned it was looking to get a car for is wife)

As Diablo pointed out, yes they're both at dealerships. You can see the Porsche of Bellevue tags on multiple Porsche's.

The Spyker should be counted as a great spot as well. There's a nice handful in the states, but they're still very, very rare.

Well I think the spot of the day goes to this:

The new Vibe GT. It was only announced about a month ago and it's already springing up around here wearing M plates. Doesn't look to bad in person.

Other spots:

Saturn Astra

Convertible Bentley Cotti GT

CL63 AMG

And I saw this at a dealership and thought it would be worth getting a picture of, it's the new Mugen tuned Civic Si

Hey Joey, did you happen to see if there was a markup on the Mugen? 1 of the Honda dealers here is charging $8,000 over MSRP. 👎

Well I can honestly say I would not pay that kind of money for a Civic considering the VW dealer down the street had an R32 for $35,000 with some options on it.

I want to say it was listed at $32,000 something.

So, MSRP. What a rip the other Honda dealer is. Asking $38,000 for a Civic? This is the same place who charges you $1,700 for the spoiler on a V6 Accord Coupe even though Honda's website says it comes with the car.

D*mn double dippers. 👎

If people are going to pay it I do not see why dealers shouldn't at least try.

I can understand maybe $2-3K over MSRP, but seriously. How many folks are really going to pay Corvette-price for a Civic? A fantastic Civic, but still a Civic. I think Honda itself is already testing the market by offering it at $30,000.

I believe so. Doesn't look as 3 Series-ish as it did in the press release photos.👍

No - looks very Audi.

I'm not excited about the new A4 coming out though - my car is going to be three generations removed from the current design, and it's only six years old!

Ok, so we're still winning? :D

A guy in Colorado has a black Ferrari Enzo (ex-Steve Wynn) that he gets serviced from time to time. If I hung out all the time at the dealer, I'd see it, too.

In short, yes. :D

Today, despite the mid-30s temperatures:

Not bad I guess.

I know where you might see it, but it won't be at a dealer. Go to the Morgan Adams Concour. It's been seen there, and in the Rocky Mountain region west of Denver.

Coincidentally, I actually saw the vehicle at Ferrari of Denver this summer. And it shows up periodically at various events, not just Morgan Adams - but that's bigger cheating than seeing it at a dealer! Plus, the Morgan Adams Concours happens after I go back to school each year, even if a show sighting did count.

Regardless, that particular car is driven quite frequently (in warmer weather, of course). There are more than a few sightings of that car on F-chat and ExoticSpotter. Maybe one day one of those sightings will be mine!

Also considering that Civic outperforms the R32 in every way.

The car will probably be frowned upon by some enthusiats (like me) and be gobbled up by others. And bought by rich families for their daughters.
