why Metar thinks that is such an awesome pic. More window reflection is noticed than the car. lol

The answer is found in there.

I just thought the way the reflected building blended into the car was cool. It looks like a true Spyder, and no rear overhang either.

No offence to you chaser_fan, but I would love to know why Metar thinks that is such an awesome pic. More window reflection is noticed than the car. lol

Heh! Yeah that's what I thought. But I guess the effect is kinda cool. Unfortunately, there was no way I could get a better shot of the side than that either.

Dude. Dealer photos are not considered a 'spot' in this thread unless the car is insanely rare. However your spots are getting better (as in faster and rarer cars), so keep trying :)

2 minutes, 2 identical Phantoms. My friends standing behind the second one. Guy on the right is 6'2" - these cars are MASSIVE! The second one also appeared to be covered in scratches for some reason.

Pic not showing for some reason even though I've used 3 different hosting sites... (sorry)

Yeah, you have a good point there. If this thread is about the dealer thread, then there would be no fun in taking photo of cars anymore. The one Doug did with the Bugatti Veyron and the Maserati MC12 was just plain awesome! 👍 It keeps everyone inspired to take more shots like those. If i was just taking photos of dealer cars, you wouldn't be surprised if i had photos of Lamborghinis, Porsches, Ferraris, Maseratis, etc.

You'd pay 35k for a Golf, seriously? It's just as ridiculous as the Mugen Si in my opinion. Sure it's got 250hp and 4wd and leather everything, but in the end it's still just a Golf... that weighs 3700lbs, too.

35k gets you a crapload of way better cars than an R32...
Yeah, that money could be much better spent on a stripped Audi TT! Who cares if it is more common, slower, less practical and not as nice inside. Its a sports car!

Who cares anymore? At least he's posting pictures that appear to belong to customers excluding the Alfa Romeo. Hell, maybe he doesn't get to see cars like a Lamborghini every so often, so maybe he takes pride in seeing something like a $100,000 XKR even if it is at a dealer.

I think the first one may be another long wheelbase version (Doug?!) If so that'd be the third LWB Phantom I have photographed.

Saw this Alpine last year when back in UK. Just stumbled across the photo last night...

Thank you McLaren.👍

That XKR (license plate or number plate XKR001) whas parked at a dealer, but is the car from a customer.

BMW Z4/MX5 and I think that's a Smart Roadster in the background.

Ford Capri?

VW Karmann Ghia 1500.

Jaguar.

Dealerships and Manufacturer/Tuner sponsored car shows do not count.

Thank you Andrew for supporting my point. We care by the looks of it, I also know that Turbo Lag and Appie17 are also slightly miffed by posting of dealership shots.

We have less than five Lamborghinis and 10 Ferraris in the whole country. Seeing a Porsche is tough, nevermind a Rolls or Bentley.

But I don't go to that just-opened Roller dealer and photograph those. Or that fashion-shop with the Lotus in front.

(Actually, I do, but I don't post them here)

Thank you McLaren.👍

Hell yes! I love MKI Capri's very nice spot, they seem to be getting rarer and rarer, ive only seen 1 and that was at a car show too!
I think thats a Jaguar MKII, not too sure.

If you've got a DSLR a Circular/Linear Polarizer would be the best way to eliminate unwanted reflections, you might even be able to get them for some compact cameras. :)

I caught a yellow 1973/4 one on the road the other week. I'll have to see if I can dig the photos out...

1) Serge is not the only who's done that. How about the fellow who was posting pictures of that SLR & Maybach and was working for some company?
And 2) You have absolutely NO right to say anything as we see you constantly posting pictures from the race track in here.

Hmm, apparently I read that wrong. I apologize for the outburst. However, if a dealership is not allowed, track meeting or car club should not either as you are going to those expecting to see the same thing you'd expect at the dealer. Such an awful rule, and I'm not amazed anyone doesn't follow it.

This means that a race meeting/track day/concourse show/owner's club meeting does count. However, everyday "traffic" sightings are more interesting.
*scratches head*

not true :) i have no idea whats gonna turn up at the track, for example at the weekend i was at an SIDC trackday which stands for Subaru Impreza Drivers Club so you would expect impreza's......there was around 40 cars on track and only 3 were impreza's... so i dont know whats going to turn up.

That's not the point. You go to a race track expecting to see nice cars just like you go to a Ferrari dealership expecting to see Ferrari's. It doesn't matter what day it is at the track, point is, you're still going just to see nice cars. Only difference is, the track is allowing the cars to be moving while dealer keeps them stationary.

So, if a dealership can not be allowed, neither should "Whatever Manufacturer" Days/Meets because you're going there specifically to see the same cars you'd see at the dealer's lot. Again, it's an awful rule, and I don't think anyone should actually be trying to make it work.

The rule also has plenty of holes in it since many owner's meets or concours are SPONSORED by the local dealers. The only problem in this is whether or not the poster chooses to say so. It's part of the reason why I didn't post every photo I had of the 2007 Concorso @ MSR. It was a track day, yet it was sponsored by Lamborghini of Dallas who is in affiliation with Lamborghini. If it was sponsored by Big Red's Used Sports Cars, that could be a different story. But the rule has too many holes in it that can easily be bypassed.
